Premium MemberFear Rules Our Nation

Fear, sheer fear, rules this once-great nation

Fear of missing out, fear that a 'virus' will sprout
Fear of stating a belief, fear of catching some grief

Fear of normal give-and-take, fear of what may be at stake
Fear of political incorrectness, fear of any unpleasantness

Fear of feckless authority figures, fear of academic rigor
Fear that someone is offended, fear of a BFF upended

Fear of getting caught cheating, fear of being seen 'meat-eating'
Fear of a vaccine injection, fear of the slightest hint of rejection

Fear of COVID or BIRD-FLU or AIDS ~ Fear to NOT be afraid...

In '33 FDR told us the only thing to fear is Fear itself.
Let's embrace his message, take Courage down from the shelf

I've been so busy lately...
If I just had a little more time...
I don't mean to put you off, but...
I've been meaning to get back to you...
There's just not enough time in the day...
There's not a spare moment in my schedule...
I'm afraid my next free evening is two months from now...

Has anyone said any of these things to you in recent memory, or ever?

If so, you've been had; you've been deceived; you've been misled.
These are -- brace yourself for political incorrectness -- utter lies.**
Challenge those who dare lie to you, who treat you, this way.
You will get at the truth, eventually, if they permit you.
Some will admit that they found time for others.
The truth will hit a few of them extremely hard.
They may even see themselves as you do.
They might even change their ways.
But don't hold your breath.

They have been lying
for a long, long time.
They are Pinnochios.

**(Yes, of course. There exist rare cases where such statements are true.)

A Society of Brilliant Ignorance

Immorality conquered the mind of youth
Devil in disguise they called it fun
God's word and devotees consider boring
Motivation from insanity
A generation living on the knife-edge of reality and a twisted fantasy
Choosing visionless minds their leaders

Brainwashed by a society of advertent incorrectness
*********** an entertainment for teenagers
Prison the home of future leaders
Drug abuse and illicit sex the prerequisite for street credibility
Talents and creative minds extinct by narcotic
Non-inspirational music of crime and violence surmount the beauty of poetry

Curse by Freedom and Human Rights
Immorality conveyed the acme of youthfulness
Invading and subjugating the moralization creed
Hopeful voices of effulgence nonviable
Gone is the doctrine of life
Terrorism a religion and sapless words an ism
Where are the minds of enlightenment

A sad day for mother Earth
Her most precious jade gone rogue
There's no safety in her sphere
Animal species on the brink of defunctness
Great invention (nuclear weapons) made for the human race
God's creation happily worship idols
Life a prison
Typification of the devil like a threads in a suit

Politicians play upon our fears and dreams.
They lie to us with pretty promises,
tied up in ribbons and bows, but when opened,
they are found empty.

They promise prosperity,
as our country sinks in debt.
They promise freedom,
as they rip it away beneath our noses.
They promise safety,
while conspiring with the enemy.

They lead and we follow,
like lambs to the slaughter.
It's time to say "ENOUGH!"
We sheep must become lions,
and let our roars be heard!
Let these unconscionable liars know,
that we have awakened from our
mind-numbed stupor.
We will no longer be gullible children
believing every word.

Wake up people!
Take off the blinders!
We have been deceived!
We have been led astray!
And they must be held accountable.

From Insane Songs

I'm going to start
drawing heavy lines
around my portrait.
It's time I made a
fortress to protect who I am.
I can feel the borders
weakening even now.

I think that's how
the youthful world will kill me,
not from the inside,
but by wearing down my outer edges,
making room. They need room.
They worry about room.

I will protect
what is left of myself
against advice, suggestions,
declarations about my
incorrectness, commands.
Those make me
turn my head this way and that,
frightened like a hunted animal.
