Immensities Poems

Starry Fabric

All nature’s linked, the heavens with the earth,
in star formations, gas, galactic dust,
elusively in roles of death and birth
however random seems their wanderlust.
We peer in space with telescopic sight
that oft may miss the tracery that’s there
as when our past assumptions take to flight
in view of being further made aware.
Vast fabrics interwoven in the sky
that starry gazers spy amidst the mists
and what immensities they might imply
may only be a whit of what exists.
…The poets with their phrases hem and haw
…yet fail to other than profess their awe.

Sea of Love

.

   For a poet, love
   it's reliable...
For me it is immense sea
   of tortuous waves
   that curl up...
   free clouds that float
   over immensities, with
   the certainty that powerful hands
   sustain them...
   In storms, eyes of brothers
   cry...
   Mine are on fire... joy...
Is that for me the sea
it's my floor... and my body,
   a sailing ship
   inside the storms...

The Nightingale Burning

"The Nightingale Burning"

I pluck the Silver chords
of your mind, sharp
talons of Phoenix
becomes a Nightingale
too slow to kiss
wet lips are burning
melting moist
from the fire that calls
Magic molds you
closer to my body
I press my ears
to hear the pulling
of your heart strings
These are the things
that passion stirs
firmly planted
between Her seated
third person
swollen satin thighs
Music marks
the spot where
sighs steal
slender fingers
to leave their touch
walking towards you
out from the
tight chords release
felt unleashed
from sensual touch
of fingertips, dreams
unseen as braille
another language
spent unraveling
secrets as a burning
Nightingale to
mute Harlequin
from the
Dark
Immensities

"Black Tulips for the Dear Departed"

Stumbling between the Immensities
Cobwebs like lace capture her
keep her fixed at the door waiting,
should she cross over now, or remain?
Time is evaporating, time is dissipating,
the past is holding on tight with it’s claws.
Black Tulips for the Dear Departed,
like a White Lily she opens -
she walks through the door.

The light is astounding,
a legion of angels rejoicing
He is there waiting
with pearls at His feet for her,
she must kneel to uncover
rust blood wet on
so many book covers,
she washes His feet with her tears
Sapphires His eyes jubilation.
He beckons her closer,

“Here is your Book,
Let me read it to you”
He gives her His hand
it is warm to the touch,
He conveys this,
His message to her,

“This could hurt, let’s review”.
He smiles, she is His,
melting, golden
Lux Vitae
immersed in His presence
born again, LIVING
renewed.

Night of Awe

I recall one Winters night
in the high mountains
when the mystic peaks
shone like steel pins,
awe-inspiring in the moonlight
so that my tears flowed at the grand sight.

The heavens were alive with myriad
points of glittering light,
all quivering it seemed with joy unconcealed,
as if a vast, eternal love amongst then wheeled.

Who could not be deeply touched
gazing up into such immeasurable immensities;
a steadfast infinite radiant frieze./
What holy beauty,
'twas as if my soul received a holy kiss.
Such awe-which was not dread, but bliss./
