Premium MemberMy Friend to the End

I've never a friend like you before
Never a close confidante
The person you are I just simply adore
No better a friend I could want
In common all things, not from bias I say
But the fact is the fact is it's true
Regardless if ever we'll see our someday
My best friend will always be you

Premium MemberThank You For You

Thank you when you think of me
Thank you when you call
Thank you for your amity
Thank you for it all
Thank you that you call me friend
We know we'd like it more
If we could love until the end
Who knows the plan in store?

Thank you for the poetry
Thank you for the songs
Thank you when you message me
The moment my heart longs
May you ever always know
My love for you will never go
Thank you J for all you do
Thank you just for being you

Premium MemberTo Know and Have Known

You're the best friend I have
I just want you to know
You're the only best friend
Whom I ever have known
And all of my self
To you freely give
You're my best friend, I'll love you
As long as I live

Premium MemberMy Friend

You came to be on a cold winter day
My heart opened; you were her to say
Her heart belongs to another, so you know
I should have realized it was time to go

Here heart loved him, she was blind
Her brain hated him and his kind
This conflict gave hope, she is my friend
Said to her friends til the end

Her mind and heart now act as one
Her unconditional love he finally won
With this being said it has become so
With a broken heart I must go

The friendship will forever last
Our times together will be in the past
We share a bond that’s special and true
The kind that holds together like a strong glue

Premium MemberDarlene, understand me

Darlene, understand me

Life is not a joke, but for me a game, sometimes full of pain
Yeah, fate and life of people are never the same, like an air
But sometimes is very heavy, not a light, heavy my only life

Thank you for worrying about me, I never forget it, get my life
No, don’t do that, I don’t deserve that, just give me kind words
Your words, which are worth more than all treasures; Your jewel

Please, please, sometimes give me kind words, be a daylight
Your words more than everything, dear beautiful lady! Great poetry!
Thanks for coming into my life, I will study your life. No, I like your style

Darlene, Darlene
Life, life, life, life
Kind, kind, kind
Now, now, now
Broken, broken
A life, bad style
You are new
Life

Or just friendship?

Premium MemberDoing Nothing :108:

Time is too precious
To be frittered today
There are not enough hours
As the sand runs away

But I halt my obsession
With the ticks and the tocks
Or the tasks to be done
Or the hands on the clocks

That fly round so quickly
As if life slips away..
For the moments I'm with you
Are more precious, I'd say

Than the whistling train
That is time passing by
I get lost in this moment
As we sit eye to eye

So let's sit and do 'nothing'
Not a bean. Not a chore.
For your presence is precious
There's no thing I want more

Than just to be present
And enjoy every breath
For we never quite know
How much more we have left

Premium MemberSong of Distance

Let the song of distance flow
With no words and notes
Just a hum of undertow
Swaying empty boats
Why do you ignore me
Am I such a pain?
That you cannot hear and see
Tolerate again
That strange person on the screen
“Oh for goodness sake
All that stories of his kin
Numerous mistakes
What a waste of time, and what
Does he want from me?”
Maybe one forget-me-not
That you cannot see.
Play for me, my love, you can
Use me like you want
Or forget me, if again
I’m too much a haunt
There’s a shadow on the wall
From another world
Sound of a distant call
That you hadn’t heard
Sing alone, you’re soon to bed
Cause it’s far too late
So a time a bit too bad
To communicate.

Premium MemberBuster

Ever since you appeared on my front porch, you became my feline friend.
We have taken care of each other for the past seventeen years.

You have become ill.
Your regular vet says there is nothing more she can do for you.
She suggested a specialist for an ultrasound and possible surgery.
There is no guarantee of a cure.
At your age, I don’t think it’s fair to put you through this.

As you currently have no pain and are acting like yourself.
I will keep watching for any sign of distress.

I love you but, I think in a while, I will have to let you peacefully pass.
Buster, I will miss you always.

Premium MemberFall Back

Fall back I'll catch you
You've got nothing to fear
Let go, I'm open
I'm right behind you here

I'll cover you with all of me
I'll wrap you up inside
You're safe and you're secure
But for a little while hide

And be concerned for nothing
I'll take care of things
Let your mind and body rest
Soar upon my wings

And then when you are ready
Your spirit now revived
I'll open up and let you out
And watch you come alive

Premium MemberShy Cowboy

I saw you here sitting next to me, afraid to say my true feelings for you.
Holding my thoughts in to take it slow, cause I like you.
Oh ya, very much.
Just a shy cowboy waiting to rope your heart; like cowboys do.
Two steppin’ and smiling at each other, running wild together tonight, drinkin’ that Tennessee whiskey.
Spinning you into my arms, holding onto you.
With our hearts pounding against one another beating to our rhythm.
Slowly taking your smoldering kiss like fire against my lips.
Driving me crazy with your kiss.
Taking you by the small of your back, sliding you in tight, for some more cowboy fun.
Oh ya, your smoldering kiss like fire against my lips.

Premium MemberMy BFF

Think of me as the friend
You want others to be
Despite my special interest here
That goes beyond just tea

I'll always keep it quiet
I have to as I know
But that doesn't mean we can't share things
That friends do without show

We can have our private book club
And weave and wend our way
Through different kinds of literature
From novels to bouquets

Crosswords, Connections, Wordle
I love to play them all
With my favorite, coolest pardner
No challenge is too small

Music was the catalyst
The commencement of a dream
That started several years ago
While being on a team

And since the time that happened
I've come to love alot
My priceless, precious, bluebird
The one true friend I've got

Premium MemberStar Crossed

We talked
Then walked
The stars aligned
Too briefly
Now two fates
Resigned

We hoped
We dreamed
But not to be
The ache
Frustrates
Reality

A senseless joy
When girl
Meets boy
To lose
Un-promised
Hopeful joy

Life is cruel
Life is kind
No guarantee
Of hearts
Designed
To meet

The purpose
Only time
Will tell
It's secret
To this
Living spell

The universe
Is not to blame
We are not pawns
In some
Heavenly
Game

The stars
Burn brightly
For the few
So brief, and yet
Such beauty, true.

Healing waits
And nothing's
Wasted
Just grateful
Briefest love
Was tasted

Premium MemberKiss

Your hand
As so inclined
Am I to show that love refined
Itself to friendship

Yet in that lowly
Friendly act
There still remains the simple fact
As lips touch skin

Respectful blessing
Is released
And worried brow becomes uncreased
For lips they linger..

Just a while..
To transfer more than just a smile
They wish to walk the extra mile
From wrist

To forearm
Where friends desist
And love walks slowly from the mist
And yet..

This happens
In the mind
Forgive the drift from 'love refined'..
As thought constrained

And locked away
In hopeful future such love remains
A warmth, cold daytime life detains
In daydreams

Premium MemberNow Is the Time 4 Mercy :D

With each and every single rhyme
I must announce: it's Mercy Time!

Not time yet-- for Judge of Justice
Before it's too late: trust! Be His! :)

First disciples thought He'd return
...Soon after Ascension's sojourn--

The world's waited... 2,000 years!!
Behooves to pray till He appears...

When I see a sunshine-split cloud
I often wish "Come Back!" (aloud)

But He makes visits, to my heart
Reminds me we're not far apart :)

--Separated-- let us not be... :-(
Like the Trinity, One in Three :-)

Premium MemberAnd Yet, I Love You More

Darling, you love me
And yet, I love you more
My angel, you like me
And, but I like you more.

You opened wide the door
And I happily entered
Like a sweet wild bird
To hand you my core
My spleen, heart and soul
Oh! I also gave you a ball
To play with when you’re bored
That’s everything I can afford.

You are the one that I adore
Because you opened your door
So I can love you more and more
Now, you are my sweet amour.
