Hyping Poems | Examples

Poetry Soup Is Supportive

Chances she had to be disruptive,
Like others try out The Abortive
And like them unleash The Eruptive,
But she chose to be The Supportive:
For the legs that hop a bit a prop,
To pens asking for more ink "Don't stop".

Soup I thank for proving me active
On matters hyping not The Native.
Tower she does with clean objective,
Her actions shaming The Subjective!

What a lovely meeting in Soup Hall
For slacking verses an overhaul;
Great ideas rolling like football,
Before Doubting Thomas I stand tall!

Two Sides of a Coin

You think that Despair
Could weak persons spare,
Body and mind not spear
Nor into two tear...

Then,Hope does not heal
Like we claim and feel,
Restore what men steal,
Harden us like steel,
Until grabbed 'The Deal'!

Despair powerless
Hope not powerful,
Despair meaningless
Hope not meaningful...

Guy! Despair can smash,
Force us to spend cash,
At All-night Groovy
For hyping movie;
Just as Hope swells Hearts,
Unseen Gold in carts;
A crying Laughter
Sure of The After...

Two sides of a Coin
For who's left mum's loin.

Free Verse Poem

You want a poem?
I’ll give you a poem!
All words and meanings
Slightly odd leanings
A pinch of this
A sprinkle of that
All chucked randomly
In a velvet top hat
A fistful of stars
And topped with whipped cream
Nothing is ever as it would seem
It’s a bit of nonsense
Which is no and sense

Do you ever read a word,
So many times
That it sounds wrong
Placed in rhymes
Words, huh, what are they good for?
They mean less, they mean more

Sorry if I’m wandering
It’s just I was wondering
How long this could be
The poem I write in front of me
Do I stop it now
Or now, somehow
Keep driving nails in
Until I spin
Out of control
And back down my hole

This is my calling
This is what I do
Put words together
And give them to you
Sorry if my free verse take
Has made you think me fake
I just started typing
Then found myself hyping
Words and rhythms
That-isms and this-isms

PS has anyone come up with a poem
Dedicated to rhyming with orange?

Taller Than Twice

Taller than twice
I chose who I want to be
I will never stop my train
I know my destination
Is far from the many
No wonder am winning
I must be hyping
I must be who they dream of
Cos behind my back
Alot words that stabs my soul
Has been vomitted
By those I love and trusted
The world is deep
And that is why
I chose who I want to be

Taller than twice
I am born to write
Cos the world needs
To read a true map
Of a living soul
Whose intention and source
Could be seen from love
Am living so I can tell
You the meaning of suffering
I can prove to you the act of pain
So again and again
I refuse to be short
And shortsighted by men
Of no equation
They glitter but they are not gold
They think they shine
But they cost nothing
They need to fly
But got no wings to jump
It impossible to avoid their noise
But it possible to show them
Where they belong
And let them alone to
See there level
Am at the edge of the tallest
Doubt me if you can

YOGURT

This food is addictive for me!
No, not the cheap junk!
Pure artificial malarkey!
Masquerading in false yogurt dress!
It screams "probiotics" on it's side,
The cartons with gaudy colors hide.
It's truly a phony!
Better eat a slice of baloney!

Oh, phony yogurt you!
Filled with sugars and additives,
Chowed down by obese Americans,
Fooled by the deceptive companies,
Hyping the Lo-Fat deception.
That they are eating so right, they wonder,
"Then, tell me why are my pants are so darn tighter?

Premium MemberAlliteration For Poets

Alliteration always awesome
Ballad beyond barnyard basics
Crystalline calls careful consonants,

Diamante delivers deeply
Enthusiasm excites eager ears,
Fanciful frolicking faerie

Generously gives grateful glee
Hyping haiku to heavenly heights,
Imagery and imagination

Jubilantly jumping joyfully,
Kimo kindles king-sized kingpin,
Lamenting the lily-livered lunacy

Momentous muse modulates melody,
Necromancer normalizes Neverland,
Opulent Opalescent orchestras opt

To pollute poetry previously pristine.
Quixotic quorum of questioners
Respond and recover rhymes rapidly

Serendipitous sentimentality
Turns timely tanka traitorously toward
Unmistakably understated Uranus,
Vindicating verses vilifying Vashti.

Whacking wannish warblers west,
‘Xaggerating ‘Xtemperaneous X’tra special poems
Yet yielding a yeomanly yearning toward
A zealous zany zingaroo of zest.

A Dance of No Tune

Twisting up my body emboldened
Hyping my spirit to Planet 9
Thrusting gently my soul to an off beat
Jerking up my feet in no fete
Throwing hands in the air

Moving my carcass to an unheard hurly-burly
Heaping up dance on my hips
Humming to a tune of no name
Shaking ones head like an Agama.

Until my Fibula was aching
I became hyper-active
For what, I queried myself?
For a dance of no tune
Indeed a Fandango only of the Spaniard.

This time in Samonda, Ibadan.
In my quest to situate the 46 years
Independence Anniversary of Nigeria.
We are dancing to no tune in particular.

Ode To the Mosh Pit!

Lights flashing, people clashing
Arms and legs flying everywhere
People laughing, having fun
Dancing without a care
Feeling exhausted, want to rest
Have to find a chair
Can’t see the band because I have to stand
It isn’t fair!
Wait a minute, a gap at the front just opened up
Got to move fast, got to hurry up
If I want to get in there
Now my eyes are hurting from the glare of the lights
But being this close to the band is such a thrilling delight
Seeing them jumping around, hyping up the crowd is such an awesome sight!
Let’s hope they keep the crowd rocking into the night
As they sing their last song
For the final encore
I feel sad
I’d waited so long to see them
But I’m so glad I went along
And in a couple of years, they’ll be back once more!
