September falls within the best of times.
Elections nearing, campaigns underway;
Predictions, weather-wise for cooler climes.
Thus teachers, teens and toddlers break from play
Ere education calls their minds to grind.
Men have endorsed re-naming Labor Day;
But that’s September’s summons of a kind
Enlight’ning us of work that must go on
Regardless of what holiday we find.
Fall features color when the green is gone
And orange, yellow, red and brown have blessed.
Load up those fruits and walnuts and pecans;
Leave acorns for the squirrels building nests.
September brings to time its very best.

Breathing, counting, don’t ignore the basiC
cover up if you sleep commandO.
“Monster mosquitoes masticating” in your bayoU.
“Disquieting dreams” can be so meaN.
“Properly prostrate” on the mattress - don’t siT
and stare, nor stress, nor sweat like you’re a tsunamI.
One, two, three - begin with “dire determinatioN.”
You might imagine “wooly wonders” as you sinG.
Peaceful, quiet rest as you atone and blesS
each pastoral lamb in the shadow of death husH,
your breath, halitosis mixed with lemon and limE.
Forget everything and everyonE.
In no time, you’ll be fast asleeP.

Endless stretches of the heavens
Across the stars, galaxies and eternal voids
Realms of gods, angels, spirits and venerated ancestors,
Thus says the LORD:
Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool.

Merging by melding into no-thingness
Emerging presence, breath of innocence
Devoid of thought, our pristine awareness
Invites the divine, in playful parlance
Tuning in through our inner sentience
Active inaction, as we surrender
Thus aligning, to behold Gods wonder
Ignition within, divinely blissful
Outpouring love; no hearts now asunder
Nestled in bliss, cognition spherical

Place not your trust in princes,
who may dump you in the muck,
where, as history oft evinces
you will be for ever stuck.
A cardinal this lesson learned,
Thomas Wolsey for to name.
All his fawning only earned
ill fortune and great shame:
"If I had served God half as well
as I have my noble sire,
I, now hearing my last knell
would honorably retire:
"Place not your trust in any man,"
Jan Hus said at the stake,
where ill winds the flames did fan,
all for the clergy's sake.
Earth's great leaders promise much.
They promise this and that;
they'll promise lots more such and such
as long as they stay fat.

Juneteenth - to celebrate the winds of change,
Usurping persecution, cruel and rife ...
No privilege allowed can e'er exchange
Each right that is endowed a human life.
Thus, as we raise our spirits to rejoice,
Enjoying, sweet, the liberties we know,
Every day reminds us, with hate's voice,
Now, as then, we have so far to go ...
Today we will remember, 'midst our fun,
How as a race, we need to stand ... as ONE.

O rganic agriculture; this is the craze over the years.
R ipe fruits before time and out of season we need no longer taste.
G ot an eye opener with obscure diseases we fail to hold back.
A griculture for quantity or quality, we need now to reflect upon.
N ature offered us what we needed but we always tried to be better.
I f we really wish to choose not to die untimely and never see our kin,
C ooperation of all is needed to make it happen, overcoming the deterrent.
F ood we need to survive not laboratory built products; as simple as this.
R e-inventing farming of the far past, but with some science; it’s all about.
U nited nations in its real sense will make a united agriculture.
I’ ll start with my orchard for others to follow; this the golden rule.
T hus to turn our globe again fresh and healthy, we must all take an oath.
S ound body, is our solemn duty to gift our children; for humanity to survive.

I was sick of seeing one plate, fork, and knife
And that lonely cup of drink
As if I was a piece in a painted still life
Like those dishes placed in the sink
So I clicked on a dating site as the others
Seeking a fine baby boomer
And in time chose one of the likeliest lovers
Who laughed at my sense of humor.
We emailed, and Facebooked and tweeted on Twitter
Then Skyped every single night
Though we lived far away, I knew I wouldn’t quit her
‘Til we got our liaison right.
We transmitted vows over the wireless sky
And kept each of them sweet and short
Then after being pronounced, husbandwidth and wifi
We kissed through a USB port

Elastic stretches bit by bit, around your thick dimension
Lets you wiggle, if you're pudgy, from too much fudge retention
A second portion...now, you're ecstatic....Alas, you've licked the kettle!
Should I tattle or meddle much, or call for intervention?
Thus, your middle may need attention, is it a time for fudge redemption?
I hope you won't judge my good intentions, or hold a grudge.... OOPS!
Caught by chance, I wear stretch pants!! Your fudge tastes quite fantastic!!

P ythia at Delphi, a famed Greek oracle
Y ielded much wise counsel; that’s a fact historical.
T ales are told of famous kings by whom she was employed.
H erodotus, when told that a great land would be destroyed
I f he crossed a river (which by Pythia was shown),
A ttacking Persia, found the land destroyed to be his own!
A pollo was the god for whom this female was a mouthpiece
T hus Pythia was sought by both the poor and rich of Greece.
D istinctively she proved herself to have authority.
E mmisaries bore her words back to their kings, for she
L oosed Apollo’s prophecies. and Socrates, the great well-read
P hilosopher, would store up knowledge, for the oracle had said
H e was the wisest man in Greece. That woman could inspire!
I n all her world, she was the muse of everyone’s desire.

“Thank you,”
two simple little words.
do they have enough meaning
to convey to all the gratitude I feel
for all your comments
and views of my work.
If I knew other words
that could express
my feelings of all of you,
I would use them.
Welcomed I feel,
to a place I never knew I could be,
so much gratitude to you all.
