Arrogant hornless bull from farm roots
Dressing in dapper gentlemanly tweed suits
Topping his shirt with a gorgeous striped tie
Some of the cows in the pen say “my oh my!”
What is it about a suit? The blue collared bull asks.
Upset with their feminine wiles, his face is not masked.
He gives the hornless bull a nod with his mean hoof.
Do not ask me for a selfie, for I have no evidence or proof.

yesterday
watched men try to ride
in some graceful fashion
a flying, spinning, gyrating, horned beast
for eight seconds
probably should feel sorry
for the exploited beasts
but none of them grimaced in pain
and limped away cradling
an injured limb
however
there was this weird,
hornless, white as snow "thing"
lurched out, fell back on the chute,
reeled and tipped, almost falling,
then it bucked, finally
too late for any good
red flagged when he stumbled
out of the gate
that sorry freak of an animal
is half the rider's score
if he can't do his part
it's a re-ride (on something better)
correct for me
to pity that poor creature,
I know–but––really?
his name was Trump Train
I'm gonna go find an election prop
and bet all I can wager
his namesake
doesn't survive the primaries
Trump Train
yeah, right

Humans are hornless
hump-less and claw-less
they are in all aspects
but the hornless being
is far from harmless
humans hold the earth
on their hump-less backs
fight it with hornless head
grab it with claw-less limbs
Who knows for sure today
what the fate of earth is
suns and moons ahead?

Unlocking,
the silver knife.
The poetry matters,
when it is dark.

Night,
has its own secrets, when,
dew spreads out
the beadings on grass.

Blackbuck was ready
to shed the antlers.
Moon was hornless.

When God created me He said Rhino
I want you to stay away from people
For they will fear your horn so much
They will kill you before you kill them
So He decreed that I should dwell
In the thick bushes of the savannah
And there have my being and fun
Feeding off shoots, grass and leaves
Look after your horn, He said to me
I have been doing that for millennia
Till one day man came looking for me
He had a loaded rifle, arrows and a saw
Before I could say hello something hit me
As I narrate this I am hornless and dying
Tell that man that I was created by God
So that man may enjoy a day in the wild
Tell him if he does not stop butchering us
God will send men by far more powerful
And better armed to hunt him down, yes
To hunt him down and bring him to justice!
For God has given him enough weapons
For his ego and his selfish self indulgence
If he cannot engage in a sustainable utilization
Of what God provided him he is truly doomed!
