A SPRING VIEWING HONEYDEW MOTHS AND BUTTERFLIES-
viewing pleasure spring
when live honeydew melon
out of butterflies
sunny dancing air
A white, dancing moth dancing
into the petal
spring viewing pleasure
fluorescent butterflies flies
as sweet melons lie

Honeydew melon is decidedly feminine--
Venus, the moon, a ripe pregnant belly
at peace on my kitchen counter
emitting the distant scent of summer
rain
Even the sound of her name brings to mind
delicate Shakespearean lady-creatures:
lady-sprite Honeydew flitting about
in forests adorned with soft petal pink,
sweet viridians
On my wooden cutting board, I halve
my luscious green girl, open wide that simple kissymouth.
Her sugared fruitmeat sends waves of ambrosial
love, playfulness even, to my nostrils
We kiss; and oh I'm dizzy with love
for the sweetness of Circe's seafoam
heart-of-mermaid fruit

I love soft green honeydew melon hues
I hate tear soaked soggy bathroom tissues
I must be heard each day with my voice so loud
Or somewhat overlooked via my head relentlessly in a cloud
I don't ride on two wheel bikes or 18 wheeler semi trucks
I simply move on two feet and two hands and run a muck
I am not a muck maker, however if I try to be careful I fail
I try to be smooth in my travels but simply derail
Choo choo, huff and puff this away
Type the morning mist away
Spring into summer today
The sun is shining the weather is cool
And messed through the dawn I am a renew and honey dew
Green sweet honey doo

Light pausing
So ambient and
Translucent
Shining through
Her soft pastel
Colored clothes
Flapping in
The gallant wind
Draping over
The supple
Clothes line
The canvas painting
Waiting there
With artistic hands of
Pablo Picasso
Paintbrush stirring
A kaleidoscope of colors
Honeydew melon orange
Egg shell white
Watermelon red
Baby powder blue
Olive green
So breath taking
The color of daylight
