Honeymoon Brevis

Sugar-plum Fairy
  Yes, Honeydew Melon

Light of My Life
   Prithee, Lovely Lamb Chop

Rainbow Lollipop
   Yes, Peppermint Treat

Delightful Daffodil
   Prithee, Amorous Amethyst

O, Sunshine and Starlight
   Yes, Wonderful One

Would it be too much to ask
   Whatever you'd like

Could I possibly request
   I am eternally yours

Would you possibly be so good as to
   Your wish is my command

Could you possibly find it in your heart of hearts
I live only to serve you

S T U N N E D S I L E N C E
   D E A D L Y D I S C O M F O R T

I'm afraid I've forgotten, possum-face
   Whatever, skunk-breath

This is so sharp it almost cut me, how devastating droll!

Interesting comment, and so truthful (I know): As I read your comment, I pictured you cringing at the last six lines. Even though I don't know what you look like physically/externally, from all of our exchanges over the past year or so, I feel that I know you from the inside out. :) gw

This happens so gradually, but when it turns, it turns fast, mean and hard. Well written for sure!

Thank you for the feedback on this little domestic farce, Jan. Best wishes, Gershon

HA! To such an end from the full extent of its rhythmic blend, again I say, HA! GW--too much! Aloha William

Too much?! --Perhaps not. After all, there are many more sugar-coated appellations out there: 'Dearest Darling,' 'Primrose Peach Blossom,' etc. … Thank you for the encouragement, William! :) gw

So funny how you crafted this poem, Gershon. So sad though how couples fall down that slippery slope - just can't ever cross that line of respect 'cause it's irrecoverably downhill from there.

Yes, it is, indeed, Line. Once couples start in with name-calling of the negative sort, you can write the bill of divorcement... Thank you for the insight. Best wishes, Gershon

Perhaps the man was weak-kneed to begin with and was unlucky in love...lol

Interesting how you've selected one AI as the man and the other AI (LOL) as the woman. I'm assuming that you took the first voice/character to be the man. But is it truly so?! Could you reverse it? … Consider … Thank you Very Much for this comment. :) gw
