Hollyhock princesses provides a happy team.
Showing up marvelously in July’s early sunbeam.
Their lovely pink fuzziness shows no glare or loud sheen
They are as pretty as any beauty of sweet sixteen
Hollyhock princesses showing the garden off just so.
We can see their height no matter what our row.
They entice a delight as they tower and they grow.
Giving our garden as special warm spiritual glow.
Delightful hollyhock girls kick up their petticoats
Showing their pantaloons to the rest of the garden
I smile at their old-fashioned innocence
Bumble bees feel their exuberance and stop to chat.
Happy pink hollyhock faeries peeked at me in a sassy way
I tried not to notice their happy skirts, blowing oh, so gay.
They infused the garden with a delight this summer’s day
Taking away all depression, feelings of gloom so gray
As I sat and listened, a beautiful harp began to play
I knew it came from heaven, an angel from far away.
The faeries began to dance, they did happily sashay
Uplifting and refreshing me, this wonderful summer’s day
bright blooms surround it
it has an old fashioned charm
colorful cottage
most folks stop to admire it
on their journey through the day
the road of beauty
leads where the blooms are crowding
in the still morning
blue pink red yellow and black
purple and cream-sunshine's dream
The alcea or hollyhock
Waltzers by with a schmaltzy walk
Jasper color facets her stock
Cashet and lock , cashet and lock
Balkers do not alcea breathe,
Masher gives her a sweet reprieve
Upside down petticoats believe
She’s wild and free, she’s wild and free
Garden show at two if you please
Sweet flowers twinkling in the breeze
I know it may sound rather curt
Hollyhock maiden twirling skirt
Dragonfly troop comes in to squeeze
One is jiggling nature’s keys
Water drop please, a tiny squirt

Sit down with roses and sweet peas
The pollen count might make you wheeze
Floozy is such a teasing flirt

Here come the butterflies and bees
Mud dabber wasps too if you please
Brings shame to our sweet Kansas dirt

Mistletow Mixed with Hollyhock
What we would do is to door unlock;
Had hung up mistletoe and hollyhock,
You should see,
Me put up tree;
Kissed wife being in a state of shock.
