“A No Brainer”
If balancing a checkbook is a no brainer, why can’t I do it

“Hit below the belt”
As a guy I don’t even want to go there

“I’m all ears”
No wonder I can’t smell or see

“Play it by ear”
No wonder I cant play banjo, I’ve been using my fingers

“Think outside the box”
I tried that once and they closed the lid on me

“Plenty of fish in the sea”
If so, why can’t I catch any?

“Put lipstick on a pig”
Do pigs even have lips?

Time Changes

"Times have passed, times are here and times are ahead of us" said the 'Universe'.
Past times are gone, recent times will go and there are inescapable progressions into the future.
There are times we face it squarely, and times we shy away timidly.
Times we feel transcendent and times we hit below the belt.
Times we have a variety of choices and times we're limited.
Times we feel so energized and times we feel very worn out.
Times we paid much attention and times we looked unconcerned.
Times we feel accepted and times we felt rejected.
Times our sense of judgements were accurate and times we aired.
Times we were lucky and times the odds didn't favour us.
Times we were heroes and times we were cowards.
Times we acted genuinely, and times we were fake.
Times we held on tight and times we hurriedly let go.
Times we laughed hysterically, and times we cried out our hearts.
Times we were inevitable, and times we were totally ignored.
Explore your full potentials,
For "Times have passed, times are here and times are ahead of us".

Trust In the Process

Don't waste time,
 On holding grudges.
    Always make sure to add,
 the finishing touches.

   Say you're sorry,
 When you should.
   If you make a bleep,
 Knock on wood.

   Let go of things,
 You can't change.
   Stay clear from things,
 That are pre-arranged.

   Forgive,
 If at all possible.
   Think before you react,
 Be responsible.

   Your darkest hour,
 Can be the brightest light.
   Never give up,
 Without a fight.

   A new beginning,
 Comes from a painful ending.
Try to complete the task at hand,
Try not to leave things pending.

   All the painful lessons,
 It makes you strong.
   Helps you out,
 keeps you plugging along.

   Betrayal can make you,
 More intelligent.
   Only put effort into,
 Things that are relevant.

   Be quirky,
 Attract the unattracted.
   Stay on track,
 Don't get distracted.

   In the face of adversity,
 Don't hit below the belt.
   When you leave,
 Let your absence be felt.

   Some days go slow,
 Others you make progress.
   Believe in yourself,
 Trust In the Process….

Tragedy of Man

All the subtle poking and trying
Only helps swell up the underlying
A jibe here and there every opportune while
Ambush and surprise in style
A fight whose medium blows can be felt
Escalating to hit below the belt
If the best man at his best aims to win
The most savage will be savage in his means
And the one who steers from suffering loss
Is the one who puts his point across

Since a man's power defies measuring
But he cannot avoid gloating and posturing
Then the battle of egos becomes the scale
Some how much damage they leave in their trail
Others in witty games of the mind
Others amassing anything and everything they find
Charting a way forward to a future we do not know
Only to be baffled when its mystery shows
Don't be a man in your carnal appetite and instinct
Trust in God who makes men as gods distinct.

Until I Met Life

I detested anger
Until I met life
Then, anger became my hanger
And an escape from strife.

I take it
Whenever I'm struck by living
Those unrepentant forces
That hit below the belt.

Anger never frustrated me
But life made me see red
So, many thought I was angered by life
Yet it was anger that saved me from strife.

Many would stay away
With anger as your friend
And their many troubles that hold sway
You would never ever attend.

Well, don't really say
Anger has become perfect
Because out of all that's evil
I just grabbed what I thought
Was the lesser evil.

Come On Kill Me

Come on kill me!
You have the dragger
And I have the soul
We both have our means
We both have our goals

You, the symbol of evil
Gather your courage
Strike with the might
When you see my soul

Ah, now you wonder
When I say my soul
You like to play with the body
You enjoy deceiving
You, rebel, the outcast

You hit below the belt
Yet you say I am the courageous.
Your silly invitations are your weapons
Your preach treasury
You show the ways to usury

Gather your weapons
Give a last try
Why keep waiting for the opportunity
You must come and strike now
Before my soul departs saying goodbye
