Fall is Coming

Brisk falling temperature
Blue sky turning into a soothing gray
Hinting of Winter snowflakes
Shorter days with early nightfall

Spring bulbs hibernate in the cooling soil
Birds gathering in pine trees at night for warmth
Searching for bird feeders during the day
Leaves falling creating a multi color carpet on the ground below
Fireplaces scenting the outside air with a sweet smokey smell

Attention turning inward
Sweater weather
The smell of hearty meals fills the house
Sleeping on flannel sheets

Enjoy all the fall changes

Premium MemberThis Probably Isn't For You and You Don’t Have to Answer

You don’t owe me anything.
That’s the difference now.

You're not asking.
I'm not hinting for less.
No one is dressing it up
as metaphor.

But I did leave something
where you’d see it.
Not a trap—
more like a record that could be
interpreted as invitation.

Of what?
Of how long the echo held
after your part went missing.

That’s all.
I won’t chase it.
I won’t rephrase.

But if something in you
tightened—
if you paused longer
than the line deserved—

then you already know
it was yours.
And you already know
I knew you’d look.

Strom ride

the wind does rip
	through the rustling trees
and debris races tumbling
	carried in the wind

chill is the wind
	hinting at rain
and the land lies darkened
by the threatening storm

yet in endless struggle
	though mightily strained
a small bird struggles
	in the darkening sky

wondering gaze I
	from far below
if it be hopeless
	the struggle in vain

yet hope do I
	triumph will be
the tiny storm rider
	so high in the sky

Between Deadlines

It all started with a project,
Though it wasn’t really mine to begin.
I thought I’d play a minor part,
Yet there I was, roped in—entangled within.

One task led to a series,
Replaceable once, but now I belonged.
Amidst PDFs and endless links,
Glances exchanged, where silence thronged.
A minor edit became an excuse for a brief call,
The urge to connect sparked those random reach-outs after all.
Pixel by pixel and frame by frame, the project neared its close,

Yet beyond the drafts, nothing deeper arose.
I didn’t expect an answer, but perhaps I sought to know—
Working together made me wonder if something more could grow.
After 96 pages, we lingered, waiting for something to unfold.
It’s probably nothing—just familiarity, this to myself I told.

After all, it’s easy to confuse closeness with something profound,
or perhaps it’s just me, seeking meaning where risks abound.
Yet the eyes whispered a different tale, hinting at a
devilish affair,
Meeting in secrecy, amidst a crowded room, unaware.

Premium MemberCrossroads in the Cloud

Across the wires, a spark ignites,
Words dance and weave, through digital nights.
We laugh, we share, a bond takes hold,
But where it leads, a story untold.

I see your wit, your passions shine,
A connection forming, a curious sign.
But before we delve, in deeper streams,
Let's clear the path, set honest beams.

Are these words a bridge, to friendship's shore?
Or whispers hinting, at something more?
No need for pressure, no need to rush,
Just open hearts, a gentle hush.

Tell me your hopes, for this connection's sake,
Is it laughter shared, for friendship's sake?
Or does a flicker, of something else reside?
Honesty's compass, a path to guide.

With open minds, our course we'll set,
Respecting boundaries, without regret.
This virtual space, a world to explore,
Together we'll navigate, to what lies in store.

Eyes lie

I won't write how I feel, so I won't have an excuse to go back to him
I won't tell anyone what I'm going through, so he won't know he has to come back to me
I will stop hinting him through my actions and I'll act exactly opposite
I'll put an end to the very sweet girl I was for him
From today I stop being loyal to the man I assumed he was
For he stopped trusting me for the woman he assumed I was
I used to believe all I had to was to gain his trust but little did I know I would be losing faith of my own
I won't brag about my lovely boy because I lost him
Or maybe he never was mine to begin with
Or was it that I was blinded by the love that existed inside him
Or was it all just a mere make-belief
Now I'm taking big steps and you're not here to see it
It's so hard to wish good morning to someone else
When it should have been you instead
And just like that I know
Chico was lied to
Because The eyes, Chico, they always lie.

Blackthorn

Now I see it black,
black with a tinge of plum
hinting at sloe fruit
to come.

Soon it will be white,
white blossom dazzling
from roadside and woods
telling us of spring.

It offers hope,
hope of hosting
many creatures
within its thicket home,
well defended by its
black thorns.

Lingering emotions

Lingering emotions, restless thoughts,
Old memories haunting yet soft.
Fleeting time grasped in moments,
Echoes swirl of reckless promises.
Lingering emotions, empty stares,
Hollow heart , and soft regret
Staring at the ceiling there I sat ,
Hinting a regret of what could've been said
Lingering emotions, bittersweet disguise
Those deceiving eyes breathtaking lies
Every glance a hint ,a dare,yet
I am left wondering lost in the air
Lingering emotions unsaid questions
Endless possibilities questioning doubts
His words a web , an endless haze
He looks my way yet never stares.
Lingering emotions, a sweet passion,
Coffee eyes and a mesmerizing face.
A hope in his eyes, yet longing in mine
Glistening eyes as if stars intertwined.
Sugar spun words and an unsaid feeling
Lingering emotions and reckless promise

Premium MemberWhen Summer Is Gone

When Summer is gone, Fall enters the scene,
Bringing with it lively, lovely hues of life -
Garish garnet gives golden leaves a stiff competition;
Brilliant brown leaves think twice before falling;
Yellow orange shades create a dappled canopy,
And when you walk under this veil of shadows,
You are blessed with a gentle shower of leaves.
No more hot sun to burn you, no more drenched in sweat,
A gentle breeze welcomes the weary,
Seasons change and with it changes life -
The Summer of youth gives way to Autumnal middle age,
When strength fails slowly hinting at Winter.

Night time Oxymoron issue room Issue room

I met a little Sophia recently in a Masjid.
By the by I met the grandmother, traveling from "Normal."
I had to travel on a cold day for a hot topic, she was hinting...
And I learned the word, "love child" and beyond!
Once not lovable, it can reach up to stage four.
for pancreas, lungs. kidney and many other organs
if they are not specially "misfit" in this fitting world!
"My son, he read and decided about the religion, deeply."
She said, or I think she said so,
And I also think I knew the other Sophia, too!
Every march 25th, she is a true reminder for me!
She was a minor, but her father was a felon!
Exactly as the same way of Zapruder!
Anthony Mascarenhas and Henry Kissinger, these are strangers too!
They never knew housekeeping before their occupation do!
But one was a U-HAUL, OTHER was a chore.
Which one to which chestnut
must be a president's choir!

Premium MemberA Sheltering Light at Ironwood

The sun sets leaping in fierce golden shafts
As days shift shorter with Winter’s warning
We seek emblazoned fires from the chilled drafts
That glaze windows from iced winds each morning

As twilight falls stale dead leaves swirl rifting
Barbed smells of Pine and Tannin Oak scent streams
From forest floor fumes in brisk air hinting
Drab pumpkin, peach and tawny spiced Fall dreams

Sit quietly, watch dusk’s seasonal show
November’s clouds spangled in etched fire stun
When a portrait clad in sheathed splendor flows
A palette of Fall woods under brazed sun

That bring us grand tidings of this season
Where peace reigns and war has little reason

Premium MemberUntil It Is Not

I am sorry
I'm not more

exciting.

I meant to be
for you,

an adventurer
with mountaintop stories,

or someone
with a limp
hinting at a life
starting
with the gift of an early struggle.

My presence is a bland suburb
of wanting,

anything
other
than what is

in (front of) me,

until it is not.

They Took Me

I wonder if I was abducted by aliens.

Because that’s the only reason I’m suddenly feeling unsettled.

They must have injected me with something that makes me sad.

I must have experienced something draining.

Maybe they took my life force?

Maybe I’m growing something new inside me?

And whatever is growing is hinting at something horrible that’s going to happen.

A new life inside me,

That gives me premonitions.

A new life inside me.

A new loneliness beside me.

Premium MemberA Late October Rain

A late October rain with the wind rowdy
grey skies overcast and storm clouds full
Dampness to the bone feels muggy
the earth becomes soggy as the rain flows
Raining slow and steady, pitter-patter
raindrops splatter hinting of winter's breathe
The coolness will remain...

Halloween beckons the evenings darken quickly now
weary of slight shadows in a eye's glimpse
Weather for witches with black cats purring
jack o lanterns crooked smiles
Goblins and ghost and everything spooky
makes the holiday candy the sweetest treats
all hitching within a late October rain.

Apparitional Angel

She spoke to me saying I would be lost without you.
She said my love is true and undying only for you.
In past times of exuberant joy and times of sorroful pain, I have been there.
She is a beautiful cycle of giving and receiving like a breath of clean fresh air.

Subtle are her clues sent forth from the ether to help in the awakening and set one on an exciting journey anew.
She shows the path to good health and prosperity enjoyed by those who took a leap of faith and grew.
A shadow I noticed out of the corner of my eye.
A fleating reasurrance of a guardien angel near by.

A phenomenon in several dreams always with a remarkable feeling of calmness.
A tender aura of radiant light, a reflection of my own essence.
A pure sense of peace and wonder envelopes this corporal avatar all the day long.
Hinting, uncovering and guiding with a voice as soft and warm as a summer breeze singing a lovely song.
