A Late October Rain

A late October rain with the wind rowdy grey skies overcast and storm clouds full Dampness to the bone feels muggy the earth becomes soggy as the rain flows Raining slow and steady, pitter-patter raindrops splatter hinting of winter's breathe The coolness will remain... Halloween beckons the evenings darken quickly now weary of slight shadows in a eye's glimpse Weather for witches with black cats purring jack o lanterns crooked smiles Goblins and ghost and everything spooky makes the holiday candy the sweetest treats all hitching within a late October rain.
