There's an irony
in speech,
people only hear what
harmonises with their ears.
Just like silence
after music,
with no ovation nor applause,
we pause
our
symphonic chorus,
as its repetitive
nature is ignored.
We bury our fragility
in a
shallow grave,
hoping no one
will discover our
porcelain soul,
but
wait
for the right person
to dig
a little
deeper.
Will your truth be found in this unmarked tomb?
Revealing vulnerability
can lead to judgement,
so in your
misunderstood state of mind,
I understand
why your tongue is mute.
Place your
vigilant veil carefully,
but smile...
Be weary of those
who attempt to break your barriers -
not everyone will care to serenade with your melody.

Dancing fingers sing me a song of happiness,
And do I not relish the thought and the feeling?
If the element of surprise delights ,
And the rhythms sway my mind,
Am I not complete, the fullness of my body,
One with the passion of my mind?
If the labourer hears the insidious song,
The dancing fingers on the keyboard,
The driving rhythm that yet harmonises
With the particles of the mind, will he
Not sing out and praise his lowly life?
Does not the breast of this man and that woman
Rise up in emotion at the tinkling dance of notes?
My mind seeks rhythms and rhythms engulf my
Mind; mutual harmony with the soul. Sing me
The song.

Seasons
Autumn with rustling red and brittle brown,
Time weighing heavily as honey oozes;
Or as silently as the sun goes down
With no birds singing as all nature closes.
Winter with gritty grey and creaseless white,
Time freezing smoothly as iron pressing;
Or as stretched as the morning’s sunlight
With sad flowers and fresh blossom dying.
Summer with prickly green and crisp yellow,
Time endless as a rail track distancing;
As long as a slow burning tallow
With undergrowth and bursting weeds surging.
But spring with cruel growth and fragile rain,
Harmonises nature with its refrain.

Music, art of sound, pitch, rhythm
Meditation, art of disciplining mind, body in tandem
Music harmonises senses, eases tensed up muscles
Meditation calms mind freeing it from weed of entangles
Music, the way is from ears to senses through mind
Meditation, the way is from body to no-body, from mind to no-mind
Music is instrumental in mind and body harmonising
Meditation is dropping mind and body for soul searching
