Heroin

Needle in his veins is deep into his skin, while blood's drowning in heroin
Lifeless eyes blink, but they don't see anything wrong with all of that is going on, even though they know what exactly is killing him slowly
Dark clothing won't hide his sharp-to-the-core bones anymore
He was left alone, lying on the floor with spiders who crawled on his face
Crying in his long-forgotten form of a fallen bird in the house by the lake, while fish sing about being free
Why does he feel small despite being the biggest for so long, maybe he never was bug enough to stay somewhere else than his room?
After all these years, how to keep all the people who swore to be on his side till the last moment of his life, if it hurts everyone to hear him talk?
He thought he'd never do, but they made him care about the fame more than he ever should, now he can't go through door, cause it's just a hole in the wall
Where is love when it's needed the most in these times of the cruelest kind of an devastatingly hard life on Earth?

Premium MemberBlither-Blather and Red Yuck, and Pray Like Your Hair's on Fire, 'Coz It Is

    when accused of blither-blather
seek shelter in the moment, rather
    than plunge right in confrontationally
into a bottomless pit of calumny

remember to count to ten again and again
ramp it up to a thousand, don’t pretend
if you’re still hot, don’t plead that you’re not
or let bygones be bygones and all that rot

‘coz the chickens always come home to roost
when and if you’re still juiced
you just might slice that swollen face wide open, catsup-red
then hallucinate as into grinning spiders it is shhh-RED

                          *******

If the horror you've just read
fills you with naught but dread
Try not to lose it, jughead ~ pray hard
       before you go to bed

Premium MemberFibber in Disguise

AI is so clever, yet it often trips,
To hallucinate with fibs and skips.
But, don't get mad when it fakes and lies
For it's learned its lines from a billion flawed guys
Mere mortals in AI's fake, bit and byte, guise eyes.
Who checks up on the know-all bot in a genius disguise?

My Ocean his shore

The container in my chest holds water not blood-
Water of the kin and kind.
But I bottle it up scared instead of sprinkling the holy water divine.
People dance in the first rain, the first splash of the sea,
What if with the pour of my water he wipes my existence entirely.
Even the first rain infuses the air with scents of all kinds,
What if he thinks my water a stench and my love entirely futile.

In desserts people hallucinate of oasis,
Yet mine is a paradise painstakingly designed,
Created by saving a drop at a time since we first met.
However I always have the fear what if he prefers dying of thirst instead,
leaving my water unrequited for life.
My container can’t hold it in any longer, my ocean needs a shore.
But what if instead of open arms he opens his umbrella to barricade my fore.

Premium MemberYou choose

Would it not be nice,
if somewhere between,
plugging in your phone,
and turning off the light,
you were able to choose
your dream tonight.

Where would you go and
who would you be,
if upon closing your eyes
you would become,
the king or queen
of fantasy’s kingdom.

Within this delusion,
which you control,
the sky is the limit,
and you brush the paint,
onto the darkness appears,
the picture you hallucinate.

Out in the green pasture,
along a babbling brook,
under the shade of a tree
a picnic blanket spread,
and upon that quilt,
my love laid and read.

A large grey hound
slept at her feet,
while birds in the branches,
sang a afternoon song,
next to the brook,
where leaves float along.

So this is my choice
as I turn off the light,
if I were able to choose
my dream tonight.

Premium MemberApollo's Crown

Lush green verdant hills of peace
beneath lavender skies of
linen and oleander gentle pink
inside my seaside windy garden nook
a gift for Pythia, high priestess of Greece
Flower of Olympian Gods
growing here both wild and free
symbol of hope you were Apollo's choice
as he weaved you in a crown for Daphne
she turned into a laurel tree with roots
Infant stem of glaucous bloom
flower of enlightenment
and hope, come fill my haven with sweet bless
enwrap me with your oleander charms
avail me to your heady toxicant
Oh bud of hallucinate
matter, how fatal you are
evergreen shrub of median highways
stay with me until the mid autumn comes
tough and vigorous as you are dear shoot

you are a potent flower,
deserving respect and truth.

Premium MemberWho Had Time Traveled

in 1901 two female professors travelled to France
While they visited Palace of Versailles an amazing vision appeared
it was Marie Antoinette, in the garden, patiently sketching
She was wearing her 1780 attire, did not notice them at all
She disappeared when their tour guide approached
Both women were well-respected, not the kind to hallucinate
Their names were Anne Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain
They both wrote a book about the experience
Had they time-travelled or had Marie time-traveled
or had they all three time-traveled? A mystery indeed.

Hallucinations

Thinking too much
Wish my mind was a light switch
5 a.m. thoughts hallucinate reality
Ghost words fuel scarred responses
Everything ends eventually
Detach early
Hurt less
Spiral out of sunken eyes
Time passes and my frame
Stays still
My body is swollen with
Unreciprocated emotion
And if you cut me in half
I would finally be able to take
A full breath
Am I healing my inner child
If I play pretend?

The Elite

At the front row gain a flag off,
as compared to them in the back.

So the life underdogged,
starting by the rulers.

Zig zagging through a bulk of them,
maneuvered without wings.

I’m gonna bonk at 15 miles.
So life is bonked, trying suck all of the drops.
Gotta slow down as life rotes.

The pace slaps in head, hallucinate the finish line.
As life dreams of the dead, when the gold is ironed.

Ever Changing Soul

I would hallucinate instead of slumber.

Because this tiredness is churning in me, more than I remember.

I am entering a sleepless cycle.

Each night turns more fickle.

I tried to wait for the crisis to end.

Each day I would have to sacrifice a piece of hope so that the world would not upend.

It is like I am creating new problems that I am unable to control.

To survive, I must be an ever changing soul.

Blood As Thin As Water

Animal on the outside.
Slay away all the bad times.
Get down and say your goodbyes.
Pick up all my insides.

You say I have to break bread forever.
I'd rather drink blood as thin as water.
I'd rather you didn't lead me to slaughter.
You say if I don't do this I'll die a martyr.

Demon in my fantasy.
Shy away my apathy.
Hallucinate with dreams of ecstasy.
Choke and kill my empathy.

Drowning in pure raw emotion.
Breathing in hot water vapor.
Drinking from this sulfuric potion.
An opportunity once left to savor.
Candles lit to bring forth comfort.
The mood is set to change.
Wait until I see my cohort.
The moment seems kinda strange.
Creatures chasing after me.
Stabbing me in my sleep.
Awaken from this eternal slumber.
Finding out I'm the monster.
Creeping at a low speed.
Waiting for my chance.
You won't get away this time.
You don't know my plans.

Poem For a Painted Mouth

Her mouth drawn in carmine
paints malice temptation to
my wishes...
if she calls me in smiles
I shudder with pleasure
anticipation...
that fatal mouth
hallucinate my
sanity, the
powerful sensual catalyst... !

Premium MemberThe Pepperman and the Ancient Rock of Wisdom

I OPENED A DOOR
AND FOUND MYSELF ATOP
A MOUNTAIN PEAK.
A THOUSAND FEET
ABOVE THE CLOUDS.

OXYGEN WAS EXTREMELY THIN.
ONE MIGHT SAY RARE.
ONE MIGHT EVEN HALLUCINATE
UNDER SUCH CONDITIONS.

MY ENTIRE SURROUNDINGS
WERE COVERED WITH SNOW.
EXCEPT FOR A SIX FOOT
CIRCLE OF LUSH GREEN GRASS.
IN THE CENTER APPEARS TO BE
A PARTIALLY BURIED ROCK.

THE SUN WAS DIRECTLY
OVER THIS ROCK.
WAS THIS A PHENOMENON.
HOW COULD THIS
BE EXPLAINED.
IT'S DIFFICULT TO SAY
IF THIS WAS A ROCK
OR A BOULDER.
ALL I SEE
IS WHAT IS SHOWING.

A CLOSER LOOK AT
THIS BURIED ROCK
MAYBE BOULDER
I CAN SEE AN
INSCRIPTION.

    TO KNOW ALL
     IS TO BE ALL
       TO BE ALL
         IS TO BE
       IMMORTAL

I'M NOT SURE
HOW MANY TIMES
I READY IT.
HOW EVER
IT MADE ME THINK.
I THOUGHT ABOUT IT.
I BROKE IT DOWN
MULTIPLE WAYS.
ONE WORD AT A TIME.
THE ENTIRE VERSE AS ONE.

I HAD NO CHOICE
EXCEPT TO WONDER.
AND MY MIND DID WANDER.
HOW MANY LIFE TIMES
WOULD IT TAKE
TO KNOW
ALL THERE IS TO KNOW?

HOW MANY BEINGS
WOULD I HAVE TO BE
TO BE ALL THERE IS
TO BE?

IF TO BE IMMORTAL
IS TO HAVE NO END.
WHERE DOES
IMMORALITY BEGIN?

Premium MemberEncore

complete silence as the orchestra had finished the symphony

and final applause and salutes had brought down the curtain

but the director still staged tunes in the theatre of her mind

the cembalo envied the drums and the heartbeat got faster

as she mastered the triangle and trumpeted a simple refrain

sadly she had become stone deaf but was able to hallucinate

‘my truth my perception distorted reality but vigor nevertheless’

she had not left the stage when her cognition was at its best

now rather demented she managed to see clearly the trap door

bestowed by old age and the dubious benefits of longevity

lucidity had become feeble and fading enlightenment a curse

a purveyor of unwanted surrender and distractor from death

yet when her drapes drew closer she tore off her masked Self

sang revolutions pulled the trigger and went out with a bang

Rage and rapture entwine, rapid zig zag ballistic
Buffed poem friction, grazed reader attacked
