Gusher Poems

Premium Memberdoes this outfit make me look fat

Does this outfit make me look fat? The crocodile asked the saleslady.
A bull-speaker, gusher and a compliment-er was, this lying gal, Sady.
You look marvelous, she said, I love the polka dots, stripes and plaid.
The crocodile strutted around the three-way mirror, pompously glad.

Til the End

I left you alone,
You ran from us.
It left me in dire straits,
I had to adjust.

   I don't get how you,
Have a change of heart.
   No resolution,
You tore us apart.

   I can see the
Hate in your eyes.
  WOW, that cut
Me down to size.

   I cannot figure why, you
wanted to hurt me like this.
   I keep playing it over,
In the darkness of my abyss.

    Your M.O, you move from
One to the other.
   My heart bleeds,
It’s a gusher.

I used to believe you did
Not do this with intention.
   You took aim, my feelings
You paid no attention.

   You knew exactly what
You were doing.
   Me and my life,
You were excluding.

   That was nasty, dirty,
Trick you played.
   Who knows how long?
You kept up that charade.

   You milked me for
All I had.
   In your clever, I'm
Going to be gay fad.

   You never cared,
Our love, you condemned.
   You rode it out,
until the end.

Premium MemberMoneyball

The first three boring innings ended scoreless.
Then, in the fourth I took a walk to first.
She was managing her business in the dugout.
I was ready when a double’s gusher burst.
I beat the throw to home and scored an easy run.
She liked the way I took the bases fast.
When she called me her penultimate slugger,
I’d no idea that meant the next to last.
Although my stats were solid and consistent,
I wasn’t the right cog for her machine.
I was traded for the sake of sabermetrics,
In the wake of her affair with Billy Beane.

Premium MemberHe Forgot To Flush

Johnny went to see his girl on the bus
Forgetting he'd eaten asparagus
   Johnny's gusher did gush
   Then he forgot to flush
She said, 'Your wee will never become us'

The Soul Creature

I am the soul creature
Summoned from everlasting sense
And astonishment that evolves whenever the Stargazer kisses a day
A child yearns for a God breast
also, these hands dip its prophecy into an embryo
Whenever the gusher creates a river from the earth
So dispatched the life in our souls
And inspired us how to practice hunting the devils
taking our demise with him.

After the Rain

The gloomy storm brightens drab city streets,
leaving mirror puddles on cold black tar
cleansing red blood from curbs of violence,
fetid odors of stale fomented beer.
The sweat of the city evaporates,
invading nostrils like a down hill sewer
inhaling, a gutter gully gusher.
Steam bellows forth in systematic bursts,
aborting unwanted vapor pressure
in subterranean tunnel caverns
from pitted, porous, perforated pipes.
The city bathes itself in acid rain
scoring concrete, etching brick, eating flesh.
This cities' long needed bath is last seen
floating away, skimming old power lines
toward the next open manhole in its path.
