Senses ' Di-Vices

Hear, hear!
I can feel her heart drift

Who knows why she loves me
I hate the smell of Cupid’s grift

She puts her finger to my lips
I taste her brüt silence

Behind my eyes
Dionysus watches neon signs shift

He never thought that he would win
it was another grift to spin
and so like every venture past
he used each trick to make it last

The coup became his newest con
to be debated when he’s gone
his tangled web of racist lies
would give rebirth to fascist rise

His life has been a grand facade
camouflaging all that’s flawed
a narcissist from head to toe
a clown in charge of every show

But now he’s running out of time
as Judges rule on every crime
the house of cards his lifetime built
is now a roadmap to his guilt

Premium MemberGod's Replacements

Nietzsche declared that God is dead
Since thoughts of Him man’s heart has fled.
If it is true that God is dead
Let hearts of men be filled with dread.

Once God had died the race was on
among the gods man’s mind would spawn,
which one would fill the space God left?
Yea, who would occupy the cleft?

The no-God notion tried and failed
To fill the void man’s proud heart veiled
The need for one greater than man
Whose essence man’s mind cannot span.

 Materialism also failed
As grift and greed man’s heart assailed.
Possessions could not fill his need
Once man from his God did secede.

Scientists tried God’s role to fill
Their efforts cannot fit the bill.
The inventions their knowledge yields
spawn hazards that are like minefields.

Marxism, and all the other isms
has left society mired in schisms.
Man sought freedom by declaring God dead,
The absence of God brought bondage instead.

God’s replacements have failed to quell
The yearnings that in man’s mind swell.
These cravings only God can fill
As man accedes unto His will.

Natural Draw

   In the attraction of Nature's-draw,
will my heart survive such beauty
attracting with its maw- sitting beneath
impending- melting offering -cascade of Winters drift encore of grift,
scenic spring undressing the thaws,
trap of heart's thoughts warmly clad,
hanging cliffs, gardens of Babylon-
bathed on the lips to wear like an entance,
of entanced shades in scarlet riding beast of glade.
There is no choice but to plunge from the cliffs
and be submerged in the surround cloud lay.
The sting of cold anenome of taboo anamoly of anamorphic fish eye lens o drone , 'saulted wound of surrounding detergent urge of soliloquy-posed like a babbling brook sent into motion by the
everclear projected beast mode of the know,
seeps in to santize the drowning pool you have inked beyond the greatest show on err,
pearls of evaluation of sanity- so audaciously an enchantress come for the bones on our shores
for an innocent suare',
wears the beads like a rosary,
pray for me.
She will have evidence to use against me
on Judgment Day, beyond
and keep part of me sentenced upon this plane,
stowaways, mistress and vagabond.

The Patrol

We booked on the radio as was the way
And out the station we drove away
The radio prattles its continual banter
As we policed the streets at a slow canter

There were disturbances some loud but not unique
And pub brawls to make the night complete
There were shoppies on day shift
With neighbourly disputes sorting out the grift

Throw in a Coroners at some one’s demise
Taking a report through the rels cries
Until the end of the shift comes round
For a quiet drink and to talk it all down.

Playing the Fiddle

Riding off into the Ivory Palace sunset,
in a pitch-black limousine, no less

Hear the heavy metallic chariot roar,
leaving exacerbated fumes echo deplored

Aural palette, enamel pestilent pain
on burnt crimson background grain

Scorching prairie brush fire
was the cruel comfort desire

It’s aghast portrait in pandemic grief,
pyramid scheme exit of paucity relief

The curtain call, pulmonary rating king
is a modern-day Nero

His favorite numbers (violin strumming)
are the printed zeroes

Fashioning a Fourth Reich,
naked emperor be blew Lenin unsound

Ballot dropping the psych,
bosom burning the divided house down

With a teary grift posturing diddle,
Amerikan Nero is playing the fiddle

Rearview rolling one last Rublecon riddle,
carny Fahrenheit was the plucking piddle

Crumbling democracy
was brimstone seen through the smoke

Ash trail of hypocrisy
left an urn nation crematorium stoked

Premium MemberIt's Not Personal

It's not personal, it's business,
says the guy overcharging you.
Knowing you'll begrudgingly pay:
they keep squeezing until you're broke.

You cringe inside each time you hear:
it's not personal, it's business.
And yet, partial payments increase
the amount owed on their ledger.

With no job, you live off food banks
and grift on the street for your rent.
It's not personal, it's business;
doesn't help when your hydro gets cut.

Society's a heartless beast;
that chews up souls and spits them out.
And as life beats you down, you hear
it's not personal, it's business.

See-Through

See-through

The heart so desperately hidden
Quiet emotions betray your face
From hope and apprehension
Your mask shifts out of place
While pride contorts your vision
A simple act prepared in haste
Subtle hints reveal the tension
Oblivious tells perceived as grace
I see you just as you are
Right through your cheap disguise
Why must you try to hide your face
In superficial lies
-
\/
-
lies are difficult to keep. Some people think they have the gift of grift, with the perfect poker face... They may be right. But-Lying in a relationship, betting friendship or love, risking the trust of someone close... How far do you really think you can get by stacking the deck? Quietly enduring your false facade, who's heart are you breaking and who's love are you forsaking?

Premium MemberHello

Hello and so
How are you
You you you
Cats and pills
All the ills
Of being still
Playing games
Naming names
It's all the same
Shame, shame, shame.
Love and lust
Who can you trust?
Prepare for the just.
Look at the state
Of the union relate
To the god who leaves us
To free will and fate.
Give me verbs and nouns
The soundless sound
Baby bump
Donald Trump
Incubation at January's jump.
Celebration gift
Is all a grift,
For liars and friars and popular kids.
I gain when I Iose
And cry when I win
I'm puddled in booze
And wrapped up in sin.

Malediction

MALEDICTION

Evil in nature

Evil in influence

And evil in effect.

Becoming necessary

Baleful beast – filled full of ill-will

Greed seeps through the pours and infects

I – incarnated nemesis

Your Created adversary

Invented rivalry

An enmity prognosis

A new language my malaise reflects

Malign plots

Predetermined death

Predictive obituary

A murderous grift.

My corrupted destiny

Rank!

Like a malodorous crotch

Your sadistic future

Now a painful present

Hatefully happening.

Concurrently.

Rot,

The end,
