Demon possession is on the rise
Because so many people are believing the enemies lies
He loves to dress in disguise
Seducing his victims until their demise
He creeps into families when there is no order
Then cleverly steals your sons and daughters
He feeds on wounds that were left without care
Before you know it your true identity isn't there
He comes to those parties, dressed with a name
And slowly injects you with all of his shame
He eats away at anyone with purpose
One Day you wake up and your life is a circus
But there is nothing funny about the show
Every night of the performance the tears drastically flow
Spiritual cataracts and scales form on your eyes
Your spirit man becomes vexed and it quietly dies
The trauma and tragedies play on repeat
The only remedy is a love that made death obsolete
He destroyed every curse with the cross of redemption
He is the only one who can change your perception
There is no one too far gone that he can't reach
Even if you have felt that your life has been breached
If you open your heart to Jesus you will find
He is the only one who can give you true peace of mind!

Wait a minute or a moment and your tomorrow is gone. “Yesterday” is here and it's not just a song. We have magic, we have marvels for a comic in a stretch. The day's not a dollar with an hour in the bet. The "His" is a "story" with a turn next to Her. The clock's not asleep with no steps for a stir. Like months and a moment. The Here's not a How. It's always with an entrance like a Queen and a Bow. The King might be coming but the race is in a vote. Next to the term like "Do you dig that tote?". In seconds and in secret it's time not on hold. So, leave the last call in a chance to be bold. The errors and the rewind are in a set your clock back. With a minute and a moment to test the right track. Wait a minute or a moment then your rides for a gone. It's all in the answers like the lyrics for a song. There's a ring not a circus for the best and a bell. So don't wait a minute for the Live, the Love to Tell!
As a child, he used to think….
What if I had no friends?
What if I never knew the meaning of Christmas?
What if I knew nothing of “world without end?”
What if I had no heart?
What if I knew life’s ending, but not its start?
What if I grow up, and never find love?
What if I never get the chance to live up above?
As a man, he began to think….
This all isn’t so bad.
I’m blessed, and highly favored….
The best feeling I’ve ever had.
My good days override all my bad days….
No reason to complain.
I have a good life, I have a loving wife….
I’m living in this world with no stress, nor strain.
As an old man, he began to think….
I’m happy and content…
Yet, I still ask myself to this day,
Where, oh where has all the time went?
Where are the memories?
Where did they all go?
We had so much fun when we were young.
You with your silly and funny jokes….
Me with my unfiltered tongue.
We’ve been up and down this road.
Day after day.
You’re the greatest person to walk into my life.
And I’d have it no other way.
There was a dear Vicar of Bray,
Fell out of his pulpit one day.
Jumping up, said I’m fine,
Too much Communion wine,
That inebriated Vicar of Bray.
Growing up consisted of Sunday morning worship
I don’t mean no disrespect it made me a better grown up
It also led to funny tales that I’m about to share
Things that really happened. They’re all true I swear.
My little brother Jerry, the youngest of us three.
Every Sunday morning would lean on mom and go to sleep.
It never bothered mom and the Preacher didn’t care
So Jerry would catch 40 winks during music, worship and prayer
Well finally it happened. That day we’d waited for.
The day we knew was coming. The day Jerry took the floor
As we sang Just As I Am Jerry walked down the isle
He was walking in his sleep, It made the preacher smile
A friend just a few rows down pulled him into his pew
He could see by Jerry’s look and knew what he must do.
Everyone enjoyed a laugh and soon will not forget
That little red haired boy sleep walking to the pulpit
My mother used to fuss at dad, in church he’d lead the singing
He really wasn’t that great a singer and kept my mother fussing
On the way to church one day as mom to dad was speechin
My brother and me sat in the back as we just sat and listened
I guess they didn’t realize we had heard all that was said
As our mom had really set the law down to our dad.
The service was underway when the preacher made a summond
He was in need of a song leader and called for brother Raymond
My mom was really quite upset, that was only plain
As little brother Alan said “well mom, there he goes again.
As laughter rang from wall to wall my mother turned rose red
From that day on when in the car our folks watched what they said.
"Thou shall not kill"
Was etched in stone
High on a mountain top
As if God cracked
His funny bone
And no one heard it pop
We kill to eat
And not just meat
But weeds and insects, too
And no one grieves
For garden thieves
Who stop by for a chew
Our need for food
Fuels endless feud
Leaving us in a bind
To feed our brood
We must conclude
Mankind just isn't kind!
A Sonnet
If I knew you loved me, I would have
killed you before, a sentence that makes no sense
keep swirling around my head. William Burroughs
could have said that or perhaps he has.
I meet I woman once, not the first, and fell in love
with her, she was or could be my soulmate with her
I felt at ease not straining to be funny.
I was drawn into a black hole of love that could only
end in hurts weighed down by my past.
So I ended it short, brutal but with sleepless nights.
I met another woman nothing about soulmates; she just
needed a place to stay near her place of work.
That was a long time ago, and now we are two lost souls
comforting each other in the midnight hours.
