Open your heart to nature, let her come inside,
spread her seeds, and all her trees,
so there's nowhere darkness can hide,
In the spring, the sovereign earth shall let out a mighty cry,
you my children shall forever live and never truly die,
the growth will boom, the shade abound and fruits of every kind,
just remember along the way to keep her in your mind,
for she is your mother, the earth a womb that grants your every need,
She is hurting, needs our help, so listen, heed,
wherever you go, pick the grain, and spread it as you go,
and in only one year the earth reborn will show you where to go,
the fruit will abound, in country and town, you'll see it with your eyes,
and late at night peer into the sky, feel small and wonder why,
the earth comes for like a rose in bloom radiant and glorious be,
do as I've asked, do your small part and you will surely see,
the air will cleanse, the seas rebound, and forest shall go wild,
And she shall say to all of you well done my blessed child.

A man keeps planting flowers in a place no one visits.
It's not that the place is heavily guarded so no one can enter.
Or that the place is so complex, like love, many people are afraid to give it a chance.
It's not like that.
It is just an easy path to cross over to see that place where a man keeps planting flowers.
Expressionally, he loves what he’s doing.
At no point does he need someone who would appreciate him for his work.
He needs no one who would clap for him,
or criticize him, saying he doesn’t do it right and should work harder.
It's not like that.
No living breath has ever even touched the idea of planting flowers in a place no one visits.
But that man got it on his own.
He loves what he’s doing — but no one knows why.
And as the narrator,
I am also scared to see that place.

The Gardener
I thought, could I
shape the clouds,
Those ones on high,
With hand and mind
What greater blossoms then
would come to eye!? Beauty of
some rarer orchid, or rose?
Or just the tip of my protruding
nose, sniffing for scents where
they are not…? Botany my
heart!

Three words so powerful that it sends us over the rainbow, I love you, can inspire our world.
Like the feeling of sweet ice cream, we love the words, I love you.
They make everything better, the words, I love you.
Like the smell of our favorite food can make us drool, I love you, makes us have an appetite for more.
Some grew up with no, I love you, and now seek them like a new pair of shoes, collecting them in all kinds of different pairs.
Making them have a closet full of I love you to wear, if they feel down and need a new pair.
Collecting, I love you’s is like a collector, filling his cabinet with many trophies to show off.
I love you, is true, and sometimes blue, because we can get lost with so many loves on our mind can make us get lost in thought.
Leaving us to have no time to move ahead in other areas of our life.
Let’s be mindful not to be greedy, and only hold what is needed, like being a gardener that prunes the trees and gives to others what is not needed.
Loves thank you for your time, and reading my rhyme.
Lifting prayer to God, may we make our way home to heaven above.

Fred entered his shrubbery
in a horticultural society gardening contest
and wising to wager on the outcome
as to which bush was the best
bet his hedge to win
and yet at the time quite mature
Fred’s Famous Fertilizer Co., Ltd.
went badly belly up in manure
sadly out of business
broke bust bankrupt for ever
as altho' he had bushels of bags
he couldn't get his 'sh*t' together

In a tranquil garden, a gardener toils endlessly,
tenderly blessing each ornament of life.
Observing them sprout grow and flourish with grace
like children maturing day by day.
Growing with unwavering strength
even taller.
The world outside is daunting and foreign
where strange, mystical beings reside
but the gardener carries with him his garden,
nourishing it deep inside
so he needs but to imagine those tranquil blossoms
and even in the desert he finds home.

in a dream
one full moon ago
i met a gardener
who lifted my curse
he took all my memories
and planted them as seeds
he then asked, “which to get rid of?”
i took a deep breathe
my hands started to shake
and heart beating like crazy
then i replied,
“stories i painted with my blood as ink”
“ash from their stick to my skin”
after that,
all my memories grew out as different flowers
each with different, different meanings
he pulled out those memories
“who were sucking my blood and
burning my skin”
then i heard my sister’s yelling
and opened my eyes
only to realize
it was just another dream
that will never come true

The best relationship
Is like a gardener and a flower
The gardener nurture the flower
He water it everyday
Weed some irritating plants
Cultivate and fertilize it
Exposed to the elements
For him to know what's to improve
Until the flower will bloom
In its own time and given full maturity
That's where the merry making time
The extol celebration happen
And the true intentions declare.

I had heard about the new gardener down the road for years.
She had been unwelcomed by neighbors because of their fears.
Has a lion for a pet, and sits on him too, one of them told me.
I brought over a welcome basket of fruit and some peach tea.
I would have been here sooner, but I used to work I said.
Now I am retired, and do not care if I wash a dish or make my bed.
She introduced me to her lion, he was docile, his name was Fred.
Strong feelings about getting away came quickly to my head.
He has never bitten anyone, the gardener told me that day.
But we love each other, and he really likes to play.
Would you like to play hide-and-go-seek with us?
I have to go see my cousin, I lied. His name is Gus.

The thin yellow
film of the year’s
first tulip
melts to pulp
on your
tongue. Spring-
pink, you
smile softly,
and the crickets,
in benediction,
start washing
their little hands.
Your mother
always said
that Middle-C
was as close
as you could
get to God
without dying,
but she never
saw you walking
in the late
May air. She
said to remember
all the moments
your heart
skips a beat
and there
is a dog
on the front
porch of my
mind—
barking.

Spring,
his time
for leafy
prayers from Winter's
share of heaven's rinse
on Earth— his maiden ice
jolted by the sun, his prance
comes in dew drops and seed drops, a
gauze on forests and grass blades as sweet
blooms by his tender motions spread all 'round.
