January 22 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Exodus 13-15
Key Verse – Exodus 13:1-2 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.
PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO SANCTIFIES US
Praise be to God for sanctifying us for:
Strength against selfishness
Service toward the Saviour
Separation from sin
Sacrifice with sufferings
Stability upon Scriptures
Steadfastness for standards
Satisfaction in His security
Exodus 14:14 Praise be to the Lord for fighting for us with:
Fervour to fire-up our faith
Firmness to fix our faithfulness
Foundation to furnish our fruitfulness
Focus to frame-up our fulfillment
Exodus 15:1 Praise be to the Saviour for triumphing gloriously in:
Overseeing salvation plan toward our redemption-seal
Ordering our steps as His ransomed saints
Overthrowing Satan of his ruining schemes. Amen!

I took one thought, which then led to some others.
These thoughts were not my own, but they conveyed
a picture bigger than my mind alone
could conjure, and a frame for them I made.
I showed this collage of bright thoughts to others -
thoughts articulated by stunning minds.
So proud was I to frame them for display.
I looked at all of them as precious finds.
But many could not see the beauty in them
(the beauty of their logic). Then I saw
some people spat on them and called as garbage
those very thoughts that filled me with such awe.
Some glanced at them and said they might have credence.
Most people would not look at them at all.
The ones who spat on them walked right up to them
and ripped them from the frame up on my wall.
They took those brilliant thoughts I found so precious
(those thoughts which formed ideas I’d found true)
and mocking them, they cumpled them all up.
Into the garbage bin those thoughts they threw.
I picked them up, uncrumpling them, and since
great people’s thoughts they are (not pearls for swine),
I’ll show them to the few whom I can trust
to not mock thoughts that have turned into mine.

They got me IN A Picture fRaMe uP
I was guilty because I was black
Running down the street before it got dark
I had to be home before the street lights on
Before dusk I'm runnin home
A police cruiser drives by
They got me on their computer
They got me IN A Picture fRaMe uP
Their was a robbery and they said that
Suspect looks like me wearin grey hoody
Police siren on
Pulls me over, wow..
Now the story we all look familiar
They got me N A Picture frame
And if I'm the same shade of skin
And if I'm at the wrong place
And all you see is my face
Must be automatic then
They got me IN A Picture fRaMe uP
I am, I am the suspect
I am guilty so arrest me
My innocents belongs to
Someone else of a lighter hue
So what are you gonna do while DWB
you say wha't does that mean it means
Driving(walking) While Being Black
I am, I am the suspect
I am guilty so arrest me
My innocents belongs to
only me?
They got me IN A Picture fRaMe uP

I wake up this morning to a cloud of smoke lingering from the nightly bush fires of the mind;
I have been reminiscing but perfect answers to soothe my soul, I could not find
I feel this sharp prick in my heart, something on which I shouldn’t feed
Otherwise those cold thorns of void will make this heart bleed.
I drag myself to my work desk, trying to embrace some productivity
But my eyes grace pixels, several years old yet quite young in my memory.
I dare to pick the frame up; beautiful indeed!
I visualize flashes of the road taken; and I smell that familiar fragrance of love’s seed.
