Frag. Order:
Advance to contact with the enemy.
Pin him with fire, then probe his flanks.
Hold one platoon in reserve to exploit success,
Or to cover a withdrawal if necessary.

After Action Report:
Half a league, half a league, half a league nowhere…
   Sustained heavy casualties …
   Intelligence reports…
   Dear John, I’m sorry, but…

Frag

Frag
The same old feeling
The same old issues
By the same old feeling

Why do you still take it?
I ask myself each day
Better the Satan you know

The **** beasts me
Each and every day
I should’ve been a Marine

Than an army soldier
Day in day out
Same old ing

I think I’ll frag my officer
When we are alone
Out in the bush

Say it was an accident
All the he gave me
Join the army

See the world
That is my world
Tonight I’ll frag him

Then take off cross county
The border is fifty clicks away
Join the cartel

Or go independent
 the army
And their rules

Bits and Pieces of Fact

Braggadocios Colonel McBragg
caught a truth bomb
gag shrapnel frag
This sent his damaged, prideful heart
on a flatline drag

His coffin was dress uniform covered
by a neatly folded flag

All those in consternated attendance,
wondered ruefully ...
with fretful thoughts a-sag,
that brain prickly did nag:

What classified secrets loose lips McBragg
had let out of the intel bag

Bus Route

But I am to busy to apologize I heard her say,
Like the dashboard for the confession,
I am wait for her to open up like a speech,
Letters form all patterns let it be,
The truth among the star my first lady,
My darling tooth ache,
Why wait for full story or explanation,
Letters form all patterns let it be,
Word for word reluctant took a frag to fall back,
I say darn the day darn the week high hope,
And avenue look above heaven escape,
In my mind I ask is safe to speak,
WhatI truly feel,
Letters form all patterns let it be,
Right below the curve of street is a,
Bus route deeper then any base reeve,
I'm hitting every bump in the road the old house that need painting,
The first one on and the last one off taken notes,
The last thing of great crush I heard say from her sister,
We have history.

Burning Frag

My body dazed, feeling absent within,
My burning frag of a soul.
The fray rages on, inside disillusioned thoughts,
That made only sense to my creator, my true salvation. Lips bridge crossed by not my true intent,
But that of inner adversaries, to devils,
each to his own or hers.
Perversions lay buried within
cortex and vortex of soul and heart.
My psyche separate but holding me together
and tearing all my loved ones apart.
Love. Not love unless unconditional.
Deeply stirred not understanding myself,
Only Jesus can love me wholly.
My strife forgiven and with forgiveness,
Jesus remembers no more as we should.

Nightmare

Gaze into my everlasting nightmare
Look to the ash-filled skies
Blanketed with gloomy, dour mist
A never deceasing fog scouring
This dreary meadow of mine
In which
Thorny vines grow generously and strike
Me mercilessly
Pushing me into
A sea of leeches
That suck the life out of me
…or what’s left of it

A wave of remorse and suffering
Swallowing me
Watching me be devoured
As my nightmare diminishes not
Leave me to rot, love, leave me to rot

The parasites are eating me
The vermin are carrying me away
In frag ments… in piec e s…
Watch as every part of me is eaten
Do not curse them
For they are doing me a great favor

You’ll get through this without me
And find that you will benefit as well
Though nightmares dim
Like darkness meeting light
This nightmare does not leave
It stays forever concealed
Inside a heart that beats not
A heart that is damn-aged
And will not mend
But will long and loath
…until the very end
