You Are With Me

You are with me, in my thoughts and in my dreams
My world revolves around you
I cannot escape you, so it seems

From waking up and seeing your face
To the moments when we’re apart
I count down the minutes, until I am back in your embrace

You are like home, with you I am obsessed
I’ve never felt so safe and warm
Then when I’m in your arms, lying on your chest

With you by my side, the future looks bright
Every day with you is and adventure
So, take my hand and hold on tight

Off To School

He's grown up now,
Has become a little man,
Time for some independence,
Yet, there is that longing...
to be a little one again,
to be the centre of attention,
to be fed by his mother,
to be safe within the four walls of home...
He doesn't want to grow up so fast,
Not yet...
He wishes to savour his freedom
for some more time,
He wishes to go back to playing all the time
with no restraints,
At the same time, he also wishes to make new friends
in his new school...
With conflicting feelings in his heart,
He steps into this new adventure,
this new phase -
The school phase.

Intimacy

My God, When will it start
The love
The romance
The passionate kissing as 2 connect in the deepest part of their heart, mind, and soul
The chemistry of getting turned on by the touch of the other person
The nervous talking and bumping noses
The little laughs from eyelashes tickling the cheek bone
Holding hands winding fingers crazy thoughts
Tightening the space between each other
The control of slowing down to enjoy an adventure without judgment

To the Unavailable Lover

I know. I have left you
With your worst enemy: your own.
I am only keeping what I’ve unlearnt
Throughout your education of me:
The enchantment of dialogic desire
And the near perfection of shared intimacy.
In this furnished house of you,
I walked in and I walked out
Because I am not yours to hold
And mould into a keepsake.
You think the unchanged shall rob
Me more and dare me less
Than living in the adventure of you.
While the projection of me bears fault,
The inside woman is burdened,
Yet, alive and introvertedly poignant.
Indeed, I live coarsely and serve the devil
That pulls at my flesh till words sprout
Into wingless birds of ink
And I give myself more to this dream
Of a minor god than to your atomized
Version of how love has never failed me.
Still, who dreamt up whom in the end?

Phillip

Sometimes I take you for granted,
But then I realize how deep you've been planted,
In this broken and contrite heart of mine,
When all you did was love me just so fine.

You got this place in my heart,
Right there all from the start.
I remember how we climbed those mountains,
All reasons new in our surroundings.

You've made me smile countless times,
You've made me cry even sometimes,
Yet I've been looking at our story
To find God in it for His glory.

I've prayed for you for so long,
You've given me this brand new song
That speaks of our story yet to be told
And all its beauty to be unfold.

With all these sweet new memories,
And yet to be found discoveries
I sense an exhilarating adventure,
That brings out our inmost pleasure.

You are my sweet, sweet Knight
With whom I'll stay with a fight
I am excited and scared at the same time,
Yet I look forward to new things everytime.

For His New Love It Rained the Perfect Storm

For His New Love It Rained The Perfect Storm

he walked to her door
happily
and into her world
all knowing
of no knots to tie,
no pretenses,
all knowing of what to expect
and mostly noted,
eyes opening ...
they were both set free
from enslaved past,
two lonely souls
coming together,
... embarking
in search of blue seas,
before he knocked
she opened the door
she was waiting
their eyes met
and in his mind
his boat was soon,
... was soon to be docking
into her pier
and in her heart,
freshness,
... and she, too,
was thinking likewise,
her pier was empty,
... empty for his boat
to sail home,
a new adventure for her,
the wind howling
a perfect storm
stemming, unknowingly
out in their horizons
waves of heat ... steam
temptation growing,
growing with each
wave of passion,
their eyes meet,
mirrors of strong waves,
crashing, crashing
into each other,
she nods,
a slight purr escaping her lip
his cue
he takes her to sea,
to ecstasy,
exploring her coral kingdom
and uncharted waters
as she basks
capriciously in his embrace
in his tides, whirling about
as the waves hit her sunny shores
thrashing about
relentlessly
as incessant sounds of the wind
picking up speed
howling, howling
with bigger sets of waves,
hurricane like forces hitting home
she rest on the bottom,
drowning like, gasping for air
and he, too
submerged, gasping for air,
thumbing, tumbling
to greater depths
pockets of air bubbles
surfacing
mimicking the beads of sweat
raining from their bodies
their love pooling
pointing towards the clouds ...
poking the clouds to burst ...
and did they ... ever
it rained hard ...
it rained the perfect storm

Ashes

Everywhere she went
She sprinkled some ashes
Leaving a part of him
Releasing a bit more of her sadness
lessening that ache
as she celebrated him
remembering his goodness

I was not everywhere
still I took part in the ritual
releasing a bit of my own sadness
As I remembered him
I held back the tears
Instead I let a smile cross my lips
He had lived his life well

His ashes were sprinkled in a family orchard
at the base of a tree
A place of great beauty
Spectacular like his soul
His ashes of the end of a dock on lake Okanagan
Oh how he loved the beach
Wishing to play along the waters edge
like the big kid he was at heart
But he'd never learnt how to swim
Still his ashes floated with ease
Now he has no limitations
I left a bit of him on a sailboat
So he can be carried to new places
After all he loved to travel

His ashes came with us to Italy
In spirit he was part of our adventure
I laughed when my mom told me
She spinkled him in the Vatican
She was gleeful
My mom the rebel
Playful and brave
One of the many reasons he loved her so
He was with us in Florence
His essences there along ancient streets
In vineyards
and quaint villages

We traveled to the Amalfi Coast
Along winding roads
More like a donkey path than a highway
Mom in the backseat saying oh shit
Not usually one to swear
Bob's ashes in her pocket
I don't know if she thought of him then
Later she remembered their time in Greece
He was never far from her mind

Somehow this ritual
Made me smile
It is added to my memory
Allowing me to be thankful for Bob
For mom
For a life well lived
For a love well loved
A soulmate celebrated
Appreciated
and remembered!

For Judy's contest about mom's

This poem I wrote about my mom speaks to what an amazing woman she is.

The Orchid

As an orchid in his life,
a reflection from his strife...
He's a flower in his way
and he would say...

I am living as a poem...
choosing freedom on my own,
and the mask of God would
speak...
Here is a clue!

From a message he would live
an adventure that would give...
special meaning to his life...
as he went on...

This would be an evolution,
not for him a revolution...
and he danced it all inside...
out in the rain.

All he needed was a room
and a time of day to bloom...
Such a place he didn't know
where to begin.

He brought forth within a day..
what became all in his way...
His experience would say...
Life is a poem!

And he found a sacred place...
he would use it for his space...
find a meaning for his life...
but there was strife!

Pain and suffering he'd achieve,
life with horror_he would leave
all he needed to get back...
was 'on the track.'

It had been there all the while
but his life became a trial...
Could he see or would he
choose...
another path?

For a life he should be living,
was the one when he was
giving...
He was living out a dream...
that was his own...

and he became a flower...
in the rain.

All the people in his field
opened doors for him to yield,
a refreshment for his bliss...
but he would miss!

So he followed just a thread...
to a path where he was led...
in a journey that for him,
required a death!

A renewal from his past...
something sacred that would
last...
One condition for another
he would find...

There were trials and
revelations...
for a while an incubation.
He found more about himself
as he went on...

Such a dragon he would slay...
no longer bound to his own
way.to
Something greater he would
give
in all his bliss...

From a mystery in life,
he found value in his strife...
and he became a flower...
in the rain.

Buttons

I never imagined things would come to this
With you, life is filled with such bliss.
All the laughs we share,
No other memories could compare.
I love your smile
It's more radiant than the sunset's reflection off the ocean.
More beautiful than the tidal waves in motion.
My life is complete,
All the times with you are set on repeat.
Your voice when you sing
Brings a smile so wide
Up to my eyes
You make me feel hypnotized.
Rewind, pause, play and fast-forward are four buttons
If life had buttons, things would change all of a sudden
You could go back
When things start to crack
You could pause and stay in that moment
Just because
You could play
And go day by day
Or fast-forward and see
What life has to offer
Can I press rewind?
Id go back and give you all my time.
From the very beginning, ive felt weve had this connection.
Since then, I’ve tried to show affection.
Id press rewind
And show you more
My feelings for you would galore.
Like a firework in the sky
Like a bird soaring high
Id make you want me
Just as much as I want us to be
Id give you every dime
Id give you all my time
Id walk every mile
To be your every laugh and every smile
Can I press fast-forward?
To see what life would have to offer
Would your hand be in mine
Would our fingers intertwine
Would we dance and sing
In perfect rhythm and harmony
Would we go on an adventure
To explore the whole world together
Can I press play?
Stay in this moment
And take it day by day
I want you now
To you, I wanna say my vows.
Vow to stay through sickness and health
Through the poor and the wealth
Id swim across the ocean
Id walk the land
Id hike up a mountain
Just to hold your hand
Fast-forward would finally allow you to be mine
Id skip everything just to see the stars align
Should I press pause?
And stay in this moment
just because
Right now the butterflies in my belly are fluttering
Trying to find sweetest words- stuttering.
Ill press fast-forward
Pressing pause would be torture
I want you now and to never go
That I need you to know
Rewind, pause, play and fast-forward are four buttons
If life had buttons, things would change all of a sudden
You could go back
When things start to crack
You could pause and stay in that moment
Just because
You could play
And go day by day
Or fast-forward and see
What life has to offer
Ill press fast-forward and then ill press play.
Ill skip everything and have you that day
Life doesnt have buttons so ill have to wait
Id wait patiently all my life because you are my soulmate.
