Roses My Dear

As I look in awe, at the fully bloomed rose bush, sit in snow
I think- "Go get my camera" my wife would love to see them
(Not)- Instead, I'll hand-pick some to give 'em to her on Valentines day

Valentines

Velvety touch to your
Angelic face
Lights up my days
Each and every ounce of a second
Next to you
Time preciously pauses for my
Intense look into your charming eyes that
Never seems to stop betraying
Everlasting and burning love
Shared between us.

Valentines

Vests in reds that breed
All good in hearts that feed
Laces in reds that exceed
Embraces in hearts that speed
No cold hearts decreed
That all broken hearts should bleed
In time all hearts will cede
Never on thorns or spikes that seed
Ever will true and loving hearts shall weed
Soft or hard, hearts will concede

Happy Valentines Day

My dearest JoAnn, I wish you were here for I would say
“I love you my darling, Happy Valentine’s Day”!
Up there in Heaven you know it’s true
That I’ll always love and remember wonderful you!
We celebrated our first in 1963
You will forever be my Special Valentine and I will always love thee!
Your card and flowers are at home for you
This poem is inside for you to view!

Late Valentine Messege

It's Valentine's Day so we will celebrate.
As Love devours and conquers hate.
When two become one, it's wonderful and great.
Love is in the air and there's no debate.
When Cupid shoots his arrow in each person's heart.
Right then and there the relationship will start.
There's nothing better than Friendship and Love.
Just like Heavenly Rain that comes from up above.
Let us all love each other in a special way.
Blessings to All and Happy Valentine's Day.

A Valentines Day Away

I wake up in this cold, cold bed
A thousand miles from home
I see your face up in my head
Your love follows where I roam

Too many trips, too many miles
Away from your loving arms
The countless looks and warm, warm smiles
Warding off this hard worlds harms

I yearn to feel you up close and near
No miles or clothes between
Safe and knowing my loving dear
Your looks and smiles now seen

I count the hours until we meet
Heartbeat by heartbeat, I go
Measuring time in till we greet
I miss you, miss you so

Dozen of Roses

A dozen of roses, are beautiful just like you.
The scent of them reminds me, of your sweet perfume.

A dozen of roses, I gave on special occasions.
Like valentines day, christmas, or your college graduation.

These dozen of roses, bring back my favorite memory.
The day I proposed, with a ring down on one knee.

Now I lay these roses on your grave.
That reads your birthday and your full name.

For the first time, I will turn around to walk away.
Without seeing you smile, holding these roses thanking me.

I'll return to my car, wiping tears off my face.
Looking back in my mirror, for a familiar face while driving away.

When we are reunited, in Heaven at the gates.
I'll have 12 red roses for my love, my baby.

Nothing Is Perfect In Love and Togetherness

nothing is perfect
rain does fall sometimes
the weather can be temperamental
the sun can be stubborn
the moon can be uncooperative
in the end, we do the work to work it all out

nothing is perfect
valentines day can be cancelled
anniversaries are oftentimes forgotten
selfishness tends to take center stage
the routine of things is known to cause an odd sort of amnesia
in the end, we do the work to work it all out

nothing is perfect
suitcases by the door can be misleading
ashy knees may be in need of absorbine, jr.
sore throats may have a dire need for sprays and lozenges
air conditioning and heat will, perhaps, need to suddenly merge
in the end, we do the work to work it all out

Praise The Lord, and The Lord We Do AllWays Praise
for it is Miracles Through Him that we have survived it all and are still here Together.....'Perfectly'.....

Y Asi Sucesivamente Y Asi Sucesivamente

snow turns to ice floor
ice skating with reeboks on
she falls and takes me with her out of sheer love
the price we pay are her shoulder and my rear end
we laugh without smiling
i help her with her things and open the SUV door for her
she thanks me kindly and then to work she goes
i slide and glide uphill feeling blessed
after making it back to the house, i look for the heating gel and the heating pad
i then pray for the sun to hit all of the slippery spots this time (knowing it won't)
ferrero rocher and valentines day are both in my mind now
i smile and shake my head....thinking about the future devouring
i go the the garage, oops, i mean STORE-AGE ROOM, to look for the snow shovels
i then wonder if the mailman knocks on our door again if we should start charging for tickets (hmmmmm)
i am ThankFull for what i have while SHE IS HERE
as usual, Joni Mitchell never lies
till tomorrow.......y así sucesivamente y así sucesivamente......

Forever Love - On Valentines Day

In my life’s poem, my best moment begins with your smile crushing the ramparts of my discontent. It was then my heart recognized Love did exist. Has there ever been such compassion in anyone’s demure smile? A smile found only in the faces of angels with the power to remove hidden pain.

My life’s poem begins with your unfettered love. My love surrenders to your benevolence. Your generous heart humbles me. Was there ever such a magnanimous heart containing such sweet innocence? Your delicate face shames DaVinci's La Giaconda. Your delicate exquisiteness must have
appeared in some other millennium but not in my lifetime.

Your love transcended my self-inflicted macho pretenses. Before you came,
I believed my own charades and verbosity. You in your wisdom saw
through my spurious flamboyance, but acknowledged my essence.
Even in my worst display of 'machoness' you never left me, you stayed.
I knew then I would always need to love you. You kept me grounded.

It is written at the end of my life’s poem that after death has taken me away, we will meet again to revive our commitment and rekindle the love we vowed to pursue far beyond the pointing fingers of Sister Old Age and the clutching, bony hands of Brother Death. But then, isn’t that the essence of Forever Love?

To the end, my love, I persevere and survive to love you. Within the confined constant beating of my heart, I will always love you. I have always been desirous to see you happy and if providence sees fit to grant me one last humble wish it is to give you peaceful respite
away from the daily drudgery of toil you have endured for me.

I, ever mindful my grasp in talent, intelligence, abilities and achievements far exceed my reach, never turned away from the nourishment your Love
has given me. It illuminates my never-ending Love for you.
