My Physio

My Physio (Happy 1Month Anniversary)

One month
gone forth;
No hurt,
Rare enough,
One love
we share,
Great pair
we are.
Your star
found mine,
great sign.
I'm thine
fine wine.
This anniversary
put adversary
to shame.
Our aim -
forevers game.

Love expressio
to my Physio.

From the Mouth of a Babe That Now Knows

finding joy in what i take for granted
this does not happen everyday
it is through this woman's eyes that i see
so many things that this typical male missed like mad
this is why i have this specially made ice cream cake for you
it is not your BirthDay
it is nowhere near Christmas
it is not Mothers Day
it is not our anniversary (and yes, i ALWAYS remember)
it is just an Appreciation Day for you, to you, from me
i am now learning that everyday is a HolyDay Blessing with you
i grow even more exponentially in the each and every(THIS)day with you
i look forward to the forward motions of life
what i once viewed as corny as a young man, i now, as an older man see the essential vitamins within.....
finding joy in what i always took for granted.....YOU

Maws House Slippers

Grandma's house slippers were falling apart.
She continued to wear them, with the soles falling off.
Mama would ask, why not buy new shoes?
There was a look of sadness and anger coming thru.
As I sat wondering why maw was so upset?
I snuck down the hall, to find her in her bed.
She held close an old photo, in black n white ink.
A picture of her and grandpa, holding a dancing trophy.
She pointed for me to sit next to her.
As she looked down towards her old house slippers.
This is the last gift he gave to me.
On our last spent together anniversary.
He chuckled and said , when these are wore thin.
You will be closer to dancing with me in heaven.
I want you to get, plenty of rest.
I need your feet, to be at their best.
When I see you again, We will be angels next to Him.
Giving him all the Glory, for all his blessings.

Anniversary Collabration

Today on our wedding anniversary we get together and write this poem, my beloved wife and I.

Anniversary collaboration

It’s forty nine years now
Since we wed on that day
But dear, I still love you
In the grandest of ways
I’m glad that we married
I love you so much
I hope you still love me
Though I’m greying a touch.

Yes I will still love you
Though you have gone grey
We will keep on loving
In the same lovely way
Our lives till forever
They will be entwined
Forever my darling
I will still be thine.

I thank thee my angel
For I could not live
Without you beside me
You have much to give
I give you my heart
And I give you my soul
Each moment I’m with you
My world feels so whole

These forty nine years
You have gave me such bliss
If you were not with me
How you I would miss
I thank you for giving
Me your heart, and soul
I’m glad that I get you
To feeling so whole.

Vepe collaboration 12 June 2014.

A Poem For You

In this world of Uncertainties I’m the man that you can trust And in my words of sincerity That my love would never last. And if you could only feel, what i feel for you You can ask me “why?” so you can see the truth Like our love that tightens the rope, Like a light that would give us hope. As you watch the dark skies Let me grab the moon for you, And as I catch the bright stars That’s the way you can see me through As this planet turns as it always will And things go wrong and you don’t know what to feel Hold my hand for it will make us strong Like a wind, we will carry on The wind blow that sings a hymn for you For they know what does love means for the two Love is blind, and not deaf So how’s success if you’re not ready to bet? In this poem with full of rhymes, A full of love, Babe can you be mine? I don’t expect too much from you Why should I? If you complete my whole. “Till death do us part” that’s what they have said But why do struggles crash them ahead? Don’t ask me when my love will last, To count all of our quarrels, is that a must? Now and Forever is all that I promise No day dreaming and without reminiscence As the matter of time, as the time passes by Together we stand, together you and I

Her Jewelry Box

When I asked my wife to marry me, ‘neath a golden moon,
I said I could not give her the moon and the stars, but,
“Each special day I will give you a piece of jewelry,” I said,
Then, jokingly, “When I am gone, you can wear your jewels
To the Caribbean and snatch up a younger, wealthy lover.”

I did not think I would survive her, being much older, so,
After she was gone, I opened her jewelry box and found
Her jewels—a lilac amethyst ring, a chartreuse citron pinkie,
An anniversary ring with a precious aquamarine, among others,
And, the coral necklace we found on the island of Barbados.

Born in July under the sign of Cancer, I had longed to find her
A ruby birthstone necklace, scarce and expensive as saffron.
On a road trip out west, we ran across an outlet jewelry store
Having a huge liquidation sale, and there, marked down, I found
Her a crimson ruby solitaire pendant as sparkling as could be.

We came home from Mexico with her oval watermelon pendant,
And a Mexican opal, lemon with a firing of iridescent tangerine,
Which she had carefully wrapped in a exquisite lavender cachet.
She had taken the money her father had given her before he passed
And purchased a beautiful pearl necklace--she wore it only once.
