A Flower Torn

you lost your dignity in my eyes
the moment i sat down to write-
about your impudence and lies
that you threw at me and said goodbye

a coward in the skin of a roaring lion
threw stones at my door after setting it on fire,
allow me to brief you about the damage caused
karma will always follow you, or whatever path you stroll

skin in flames, tears and my pain
you caused it all while i was grieving someone's loss
thought you loved me like i was your favorite flower
but you tore me apart from petal to petal

your prayer to ascend for heaven, will always remain as a wish
years of torture that you have me hiding under love's disguise
it will come to hunt you just like your memories haunt my dreams
and in that moment i will know that was my revenge

this isn't actually about flowers

i'm a small flower
a seed gifted to you by the universe
meant to grow under your care
flourish
people don't like getting seeds
they don't want to plant them
to care for them
to be responsible
they'd rather have a fully grown flower
no work, easy
put water in a vase, leave it to wilt
slowly watching it die
only watching
not interacting
as life slips away
why didn't you try to save me?
i could've been so beautiful
if only you wanted to plant me
help me grow
care
people don't really like getting flowers
flowers die
i died
why am i temporary in everyone's life?

seeds

i keep watering seeds i know will never grow
i give every seed a chance at life
never giving up on them
even if i can see so very clearly
they won't live
at least not long enough to bear crops
i feed and feed and feed
running myself dry just to water you
i'm almost out of water
but i'll use my last bit on you
even though i know you won't give a single thing in return
but i keep watering and watering
knowing the outcome each time
but maybe
just maybe
i can get you to grow
even if i have to kill myself
for you to survive

Premium Member What Is Friendship POTD

friendship can be great
looking when will I find you
will that be today
are you now looking for me
will our search go on and on

there you stood looking
oh you came out of no where
what a big surprise
our friendship is a flower
fun and laughs are everywhere

our fun and laughs turn
it all goes so very wrong
hurt and pain from words
tears running like a river
why did our friendship go bad

Premium MemberIn the forgotten garden of my heart, you are the fresh flower that blooms

In the forgotten garden of my heart, you are the fresh flower that blooms,
A friend who lights my paths when storms caress my soul,
No matter how many winds blow, you are the unmovable rock in time,
Beside me always, like a lighthouse in an ocean troubled by dreams and shadows.
You know me in my deepest, most hidden depths, like an open book,
You support me through hells and lift me when the world extends its claw,
Remind me of my worth when doubt drowns my gaze,
You are the ray of light piercing the fog, guiding my steps toward dawn.
In a world where smiles are masks and friendships often fade,
You remain steadfast, loving me for who I truly am, without masks,
You are the one who knows every detail, the jokes, and shared dreams,
You have seen my brilliance and did not turn away when fear enveloped me.
Through laughter and tears, through challenges that come, steadfast as rocks,
I know I have someone who guards my path, wherever the wind may take me,
And when the years pass, and the world dances around us, ever-changing,
This friendship will remain a love that will always be true and pure.

Premium MemberColourful Wooden Tulips

I want to give my only yellow mini tulip away
To the daughter of my beloved late cousin,
So the memory of her will never slip away
From our minds and hearts deep within.

I recently gave a symbol of love, a red tulip away
To my newfound lover who I knew would win
My heart in how he engages with me every day,
How he passionately makes us both sin.

I am yet to give a blue tulip to someone someday,
As a symbol of friendship and peace between Djinn.
I want to meet him again, soon, someday.
But maybe, his heart, I will never win.

I bought a vase of mini tulips I saw on the way,
Considered it for someone who may be my twin,
But I realize it was too much for someone anyway.
So I bought them for myself, even if self-love is a sin.

2024 eve

End of year was here,
R.... closed the communication Apps since May this year.
For 6 months, he walked past my front garden 6 days a week,
Worked at the back yard for 6 weeks,
Sat in the special guest room on each visit,
Which was converted from a dining area.
Now many months later,
The Agapanthus in the front garden,
The Hydrangea on the left of my house,
The bushy Apricot tree,
The flowers were blooming,
And the fruits were ready to be consumed.
He missed to enjoy the beautiful blue,
Green, pink and white flowers,
And tasted the delicious home-grown fruits,
Which he used to appreciate and wait.
He gave them all a miss,
After tossing away our friendship.
Truly, I did not care if we could not be friend again.
Just really want to know why
He has decided and treated me the way he did,
Terminating a relationship was nothing, really,
When comparing to the way he hurt me.

Premium MemberSmiling back

Sweet sunshine looks down :)
To the small flower, convinced
It will smile back! :D

to the sky convinced she may
expect sweet sunshine“

Pretty in pink

Inspired by the beauty of Nature. I love roses. I hope you enjoy seeing them in real life somewhere and smelling their alluring scent.

Pretty in pink

Pretty in pink
She is delicate and sweet
Smelling of Heaven and Spring
Dancing petals in the breeze

Pretty in pink
All Charm and Grace
She'll forever remind you
That Love and Light are in place

Pretty in pink
In gardens and bouquets
She delights and beautifies
Every moment she stays

Pretty in pink
Friendship personified
The beauty of Nature
Always a Blessed Reminder

Premium MemberOdd Petaled Daisy

a chance meeting
digits fleeting
each I could recall

days so lazy
odd petaled daisy
I gave you a call

from one hello
how would I know
in love I would fall

would not our fate
cooperate
you loved me not at all

fifty Summers passed
they seemed so fast
then another Fall

and in the end
we became friends
under daisy's thrall

Premium MemberFantasy Sunflower Guests

Sunflower’s my place to nest
The dragonfly comes along too
Resting until we are both refreshed
Enjoying the floral view.

We became best friends long ago
Fairy and dragonfly both blessed
With friendship that’s alert and aglow
Fantasy sunflower guests.

Goddess of Beauty

No words describe the beauty she expresses,
Her explicit beauty, which secretly professes,
The Inherent quality of her magnificent character,
Her heart is a refuge and a shelter,
For the anguished soul and hopeless brow,
So one can walk with pride, spark, and glow,
She walks with glide, holding head high,
Faces the troubles never utters a sigh,
A paragon of beauty in her appearance,
Illuminates the surrounding until disappearance,
Her glistening and intoxicated eyes,
Bridges the gap, knots the ties
The way she laughs and her sheeny face,
Her delicate figure and enchanting grace,
Shows one another to utter perfection,
The cause of pleasure and everlasting attraction.

Premium MemberLove

“One word frees us of all the weight and
pain of life. The word is love.”
….Sophocles, Greek Poet

I asked the stars languishing high above
to reach into their lovely, ancient cache
to teach to me what the world knows of love
I thought, perhaps, a secret lover's stash

But, no, the words left behind flowers' hue
instead returned my question back to me
the world today has but a bitter view
how can you seek love in such misery?

It's true: we've just forgotten how to love
yet, I know love lingers in baby's smile,
a hug, a laugh, friendship's welcoming glove
Perhaps love is simply resting a while.

Sometimes a gentle push is all we need
to watch love flower from a single seed.

"Sweet temptress Zinnia beckons from the sky the butterfly." - by poet

How eagerly and easily you grow,
lovely Zinnia, and in late spring,
an explosion of bright colors you show
to those who pass by you. What cheer you bring!
Purple, orange, yellow, red, peach and pink -
you wear those colors well, and butterflies
adore your hues! They come to you and drink
your nectar sweet, which at your center lies.
Wonderfully you bloom until late fall,
worshiping the sun. You show such power,
for hummingbirds and bees are in your thrall.
For friendship, you are the perfect flower
because with strength you always persevere.
This makes you, Zinnia, forever dear.
