Puzzled

You ask why I chose you.
I thought you knew!
I chose you like clean air
Because you refreshed my existence
I chose you like the ocean
Because you regulated the climate of my spirit

I chose you like the sun
Because you nourished my heart’s daily routine
I chose you like the soil
Because you filtered the waters of my life that keep me clean

I chose you like the sanctity of tears
Because you supported my focus and cleared my vision
I chose you like laughter
Because you elevated my mood and provided a mirror for my decisions

You ask why I chose you
Without you I was quite capable of becoming the best version of my soul
But together we merged two lives that rendered us one and whole
I thought you knew…my soul chose you

Serenity is to know what's right'
Eyes that peer in, beyond what's seen'
Nurturing our feelings with no regrets contrite.
Sensing the world, with consciously culled delight.
Exploring touch, smell, taste in ways foreseen.

Stuck in a world of filtered words,
groomed to embrace this terminology;
Symbols and acronyms;
Where does that leave a wild wordsmith ?
Gazing at shallow eroded shores
under stars no one can really see
longing for the deepest of waters;

Bottom of the surface touch,
always it seems just out of reach

Black and white butterfly
in a world of colorful lines;
Filtered words aren’t enough when
I see the write within the silence,
surrounded by so many hollow expressions;
Reality dissolves when the thoughts
blur into something easy to swallow;

Bottom of the surface touch,
always it seems just out of reach.

Filtered Distorted Reality

Life lessons….
You’re not ready to experience life,
If you haven’t experienced life.
That doesn’t mean the past’s the future.
It tends to be the future for seen by the past.

Respect is the first rule.
The next is to forget the first rule if they never respect you.
1+1=2
1+1=11 if they bleed the same way as you.

Equation aside, it’s do or you die.
Opposite forces collide
The one who’s left standing?
Tis the only difference between you and I.

Life’s mountain, we climb
Breath for breath. Step for step
You milk it for what it’s worth,
Still the cream will rise.

Sun down to sun rise,
Never take a break,
Never pump the breaks
It’s a real one to look death in the eyes.

To no surprise
While passing another peak.
Grim reap in the benefits
Just do it then die.

Don't be deluded to think I am wrong
because some of it in reality is right

Sad sorrowful souls misunderstand the greatness of Mercy
Feeling wounds draws us to His Passion

You pierce this heart with gentle loving forgiveness
words recalled that sin is a double edged diamond knife
which cuts deep where we love the darkness

That which drags us away from the light
tortured blindness their lessons will be learned

Only When the Sand Is Filtered Out Can the Gold Be Found

Don't say that slander is as dangerous as a deep torrent
And people who’re banished sink forever like sediment.
Although with painstaking filtration the panning is bound,
Only when the sand is filtered out, can the gold be found.

Filtered

When I was a kid, we would act
With what we were taught was called tact.
If we did forget
What happened, I’d bet
Was that we would get yelled at or smacked.

But sometimes, we’d simply react
And want to blurt out what, in fact,
Was the way that we’d feel
Which would likely reveal
Thoughts that possible might get attacked.

Larry David, though, never has lacked,
On his show, what it takes to attract
Lots of negatives glares
‘Cause he gutsily dares
Those who’d challenge the truth he had yakked.

His opinions, although rarely backed,
Somehow don’t do much more than distract.
If I followed his suit,
I’d be in a dispute
And I know that for sure I’d get whacked.

Bewildered and Filtered

Bewildered and Filtered

Trump seems so sad and bewildered;
Down from heaven heard have filtered,
Perturbing pain,
And weight gain;
By us as President will not be revered.

Filtered Vision

I can't get the image of her out of my mind
Her sweeping fringe covering her eyes that are unfathomably green
My lungs burst with sadness and desperation
Fish circle me like death
Eyes that watch
Ears that listen
Mouths that scream
Her her HER
I scream and water passes through my black lifeless lips

Saturated Filthiness Filtered

Saturated filthiness filtered
Through faded lines
And often wrong horoscopes
I make my own destiny
Keep your wordy predictions
To yourself
