Being a dad
Becoming a father
Cherishing their children’s events and accomplishments
Providing discipline
A voice with advice
Happy and sad moments of time
Responsibility most high
Sometimes a father is like a feather
Cushing from the falls and disappointments
Center of attention
Proud, Admiring and establishing dad
Seeing their offspring growing from kid to adult
Children taking on the legacy of the father’s name
Always heartfelt
A father’s job carried out
Happy to say
Happy Father’s Day
Frilly lace and white petticoats,
Where did your young summers go?
Long ponytails and climbing trees,
My memories are all of these.
Now a woman stands, where once a child
Ran laughing, to me with open arms.
A woman stands, and smiles at me,
Still grins with impish charms.
Today you walked through my front door.
I saw a woman, not a child.
How proud I am to be your Dad,
But the memories still make me a little sad.
'Cause you don't need me quite so much,
But I'll always remember the soft, little touch
Of your tiny hand upon my unshaved cheek
And the way you say "Daddy" so very sweet.

I wish I had
been kind to Dad
Mostly I tried...
but left him mad
I wanted him
to be less sad
I would prefer
to make him glad
Buy him new shirts
perhaps in plaid
However he
likes to be clad
Make him proud of
my college grad.
A time machine
would be so rad
I could go back
and be less bad
And most of all:
more kind to Dad
Beautiful daughter of my village President,
Was presented by her father gift very precious;
(Twenty grams of gold with diamond-stones content),
Gorgeous-looking with fine red-sapphire-strip, gracious...!
Merry, the girl went, exposing it to all,
Father felt proud, though mother grew a bit skeptic;
It's then, on her face, soon a cloud of gloom did fall,
Hearing the story father grew like dyspeptic...!
Pond, she said; while bathing; whole water they pumped out;
To the utter surprise of all, no ring they got;
Mother, guessing daughter's ways, got many a doubt,
Shut her mouth, as she did not know the exact plot...!
On finger of neighbor-boy, the ring someone found,
Before the whole town knew, both eloped, safe-and-sound...!!!

Unsteadily he walks down the linen aisle
On his right arm the pride and joy of his life,
Proud he is, you can see it in his broad smile
A young man at the altar will make her his wife.
Sounds of the Wedding March reverberate
Around the walls of the old, ornate cathedral,
And the priest stands tall, ready to officiate
The papers have been signed, and it’s all legal.
He glances out the corner of his eye and sees
The mother-of-the-bride seated near the front,
She’s the most beautiful lady present, if you please,
Since the day they stood at the baptismal font.

My daughters, I’m so very proud of you.
You have grown to become, fine young women.
Let not your hearts or lives be ruled by men.
Stand fast, and to your own desires be true.
Take what you need, but no more than your due.
Act cautiously, you are noblewomen.
Speak softly for, you are gentlewomen.
Let integrity shine, in all you do.
Know this my daughters, I've always loved you.
Every day, you are in my thoughts, my prayers.
That God grant you wisdom, in all affairs.
May your strength and your courage be renewed.
For every challenge in life you pursue.
How I wish I were there to ease your cares.
And to mend your hearts, from life's little tears.
Remember this, I will always love you.
It's Fathers Day and all who have children can be proud.
But those of us who do not have children, can be proud that one day
they may; or if too old that the Father who made you, loves you this Father's Day. This is a pray that all men have the most happiness of this day.
For sons, love your father as he loves you. Remember too your Heavenly
Father on this day, who made you, and loves you, and sees to your every need.
Don't forget him this Father's Day.
And so I close in remeberance of my Dad this Father's Day. And hope we will reunite one day.
If I had a daughter of my very own,
She'd be like you when she was grown.
I'm very proud to have you in my life,
And I am so happy to be your father's wife.
He shares with me his special treasure,
His beautiful daughter, he shares with pleasure.
She has a flair and sparkling eyes,
One look at her will hypnotize.
A pout now and then to show some emotion,
And a will that's strong as a magic potion.
So much love always pouring out,
Showing others just what she's about!
Photographs in black and white
Show patterns in soft blankets
Of the precious princess wrapped
And tucked in with love.
Fountain hairstyle classic touch
With “oohs” and “aahs”
When dimples and smiles appear
To faces circling from above.
Months scouring and scanning
Books bought and borrowed
Searching meanings for
The tiny princess new.
Worries all forgotten
From illness and complication
Then intake of food concoctions
As the little princess grew.
Effort, pain and panic
All faded memories in the moment
When arrival of the princess
Was the only focus had.
So perfect are your features
And defenceless in your innocence
and dependent on your servants
Proud to be Sarah’s Dad.
"Is it a girl? I think it's a girl!!...Doc?"
Flowers form'd blooms from sunny Easter skies
Let's call her Sophia Pascal Peacock
Our first baby born with baby blue eyes
You were two, I'd brag..."See what I'm seeing?"
Sighing, your mother would cringe and quiver
"Look! We've made the perfect human being,
She got all the best things we could give her!"
Wisdom, passion, love flows from your spirit
So alive with drive, caring and kind too
Accepting defeat? No, you won't hear it
So...you know...we can't be more proud of you
Birth day, we pray'd, thank'd God that He brought her
Now sweet sixteen, my beautiful daughter
