Fairground Poems - Poems about Fairground

Fairground face

No more here
No more illusions
Delusions we fear

There is no more
No more here
Shimmers the glaze
My fairground face

Reflects

There is no more
No more here
No more illusions
Delusions we fear

There is no more
No more here
Standing still
I wait and see
Shimmers the glaze
Stares back

Fairground of the Mad

Fairground of the mad

Around and around it goes
Lies are better than truths
Honesty is for fools
No one believes the politicians
Or anyone else
Opinionated bastards’ rules ok
In a world that lost its
Moral compass its humanity
If you are not greedy for power
You are a loser.
And since everyone is lying
You have to take a side
Pretend you

The Fairground

The Fairground

I remember the fairground when I was a child, there

Fairground

Fairground

As I walk around feeling
The hay under my feet
Can smell the foods
That makes me want to eat

Assortment of decorations
Of ribbons of many colors
Like a bright rainbow
Of many colorful flowers

Crowds of children on lines
Getting on the merry go

Fairground Fur

Fi,fy,foe, fum. I smell the blood. Sweet nectar of fools. Stamp them down. Stamp it all out. Back and forth like the swing of a fairground hammer.

Adjust the ride. Inject the senses. Bathed in a misty surround of vibrant blue striped with lashings of orange.

Moving to the fruit machine looking like an ice cream. Staring fish

Fairground Attraction

Home from fairground -
hungry
Admiring delightful
colours, aromas.
Feast -
carrots, sweetcorn, peas...
Rotates in microwave
- Carousel

Fairground

Smells of boiled hot dog sausages,
beef burgers and onions.
Mingle these with - wafts of candy floss,
toffee apples and brandy snaps.
Whirring of engines
chugging over noisily,
half drowned by thumping music,
screams and laughter.
A multitude of lights flash and spin,
in time with the rides
that dash before your eyes;
round and round,
side to side,
back and forth,
and upside down.
Over and over,
...
