radicalized
almost hypnotized
evangelized
nationalized

the undereducated
easily manipulated
all of it so calculated
anger quickly cultivated

from one cult to another
with the ferver of a lover
new beliefs to discover
greater hatred for the other

to reality now blind
fear and hatred combined
true solutions undefined
striking terror in mankind

will this hatred cease
violence decrease
or divisions just increase

Will we ever know our peace?

Prayer 200:102 Traveling Mercies

I
Times when one had right to stop one's Beloved
From leaving on a trip, urgent but uncovered
For these times. Omicron has made Africa notorious
But Level 1 Lockdown prevents me being imperious
So, freedom still reigns in my home, we say goodbye
Mind flies ahead to the return (Quarantine or Reunite)?

II
Traveling mercies, LORD, for my Beloved; all who travel
Within nations and across them (though UN heard the quarrel)
Keep them wise, safe, Covid-free, but otherwise kind
Challenges to health and love we've had; when we began to unwind
Urgent pleas and chauffeuring arise. Church on Sunday remains
The focus of my being and those evangelized. Living to break chains

Mama Africa

As
their
dogs
barked
and
snapped,
human
traffickers
had
our
daughters
kidnapped.
Brother's
keepers
prepared
their
guns
and
knives,
and
had
their
brothers
back
stabbed.
Drained
into
the
veins
of
our
bloodlines
was
rape.
Two
of
your
best
gays
evangelized
AIDS,
now
it's
a
virus
we
can't
escape.
Life
drives
us
crazier
than
mad
men
in
hijacked
cars.
We
knew
not
why
you
sniffed
cocaine
or
hanged
like
Christ's
body
on
the
cross,
trying
to
heal
scars.
You
molested
my
daughters
and
killed
Mama
Africa.
No
matter
how
hard
she
cried
for
mercy,
you
couldn't
stop
raping
her.
Snatched
her
babies
from
her
back
and
commanded
her
to
bend.
Pointing
a
gun
at
her,
for
she
was
never
attracted
to
the
weak
messages
you
send.

A Strong Vine

when God sent His righteous seed down to earth
man's justification was then given birth
a child was born who became a mighty vine
Jesus of Nazareth, a soul most divine
His purpose was to be God's manifestation
His mission was to lead us on the path to salvation
and like a strong vine, He needed to sprout out
He then stretched His gospel branches all about

In spreading the "Good News", He ventured forth
He reached far and wide for mankind's support
He made disciples of a few and evangelized
and like a strong vine, His fruits were prized

His message was very mysterious for those without ears
accept Him as the Son of Man in order to draw His Father near
and for us He became the ultimate sacrifice
forfeited His roots to give us a clean splice
and for everyone who accepts Him as the Lord Christ
they will be blessed with the Holy Spirit in life

his blood became the purest of wine
a bountiful product from a strong vine
