ALCOHOL

Alcohol, sip it
Don't drink to stupor
If you can control it
It merry you
When it takes over you
It disgrace you.

Some say it consume you
Others it destroys liver and lungs
Many says it liberate them from pains
We all defends our habits
Then condemn our poison.

Like a old talk
One man food
Another's man poison
What qualities one
Disqualify another
Drink responsibly.

No Bodies Choice

Nobody chioce

Is Nobody choice
where to be born into
But we all are fortunate not to be born motherless or homeless
We may not have all that we want but we got what some pray to have but they couldn't
So we need to be grateful for whom we are and for where we are
And show some gratitude to these people
Who wishes to be me and you
Whose wish is to be loved by their mothers
Whose wish is to be loved by their sisters and brothers
Whose wish and prayers are to know their relative
Let us let them know that the world love them
Let us let them know that they exist by supporting them
and helping them to put food, education, clothes, smile and happiness in their life.

Thank you

The Jobless Man

The jobless man
Empty pocket
Empty kitchen
Empty plate
Empty pot
Empty Tommy
Empty pulse

The Jobless man
No money
No food
No home
No social benefits
No state support fund
No basic life

The jobless man
Dead system
Corrupt government
Victim of a Brutal regime
Failed politicians
Hopeless chances
Damaged mind
And now in the street hanging
Around as
The jobless man

Economic Disaster

Economic disaster
Our economy is dying
Still we are locked down
We are lossing our incomes
We are going out of business
We can't survive for too long
We are fighting as
We still worry what each day bleeds

Economic disaster
The boss is out of job
The middle class are dying
This economical clash
Is a slap to our daily lives
Our bread must be old and cold
Our cupboards are so empty
We are running out of food
Hunger kills us by daily bases
Yet our politicians still promise
Us a hopeless future

The Burning Bridge of Trust

The Burning bridge of trust
What is your value
oh man of power
If you must kill to rule
Must we die cos you
Are on the staff of power
I thought we are suppose
To look up to your moral
But your actions proves non

The burning bridge of trust
Oh man why are you running
Were will you run to
Since you set your home
On fire
Were will you sleep
You cooked a bad food
For your people
And now they chose
to cook for you
Am sure you can't finish
This food
Cos is hotter than your
Throat
Now enjoy it.

The burning bridge of trust
You can't escape from
This vibrant youth
You know it
No wonder you chose
To run cowardly
Instead of change your ways
African youth are tired of dying
That is why they chose
Who to deal with
Unfortunately is you
Cos you never lead with truth
You are a true symbol of a lie
And now the table has turned
Against you
So enjoy the show
Cos is obvious to see now
The burning bridge of trust

Dedication to the affliction
In imo state Nigeria.

When the Crowd Cook For You

When the crowd cook for a man
You can't defeat the people
When they raise
You can't run
When they unite
You can't escape
When the people stand up
Against you
So man change your ways
Be nice be a good boy
Cos one day
You won't finish the food
You ask for
When the crowd cook for you

When the crowd cook for you
Too long so many years
Come and go
Still you never care of your people
You betrayed the trust and love
Of the people
Who was in surpport of you
Despite their royalty
You never changed
You keep playing politics
I wonder if you can finish
This food waiting for you
I wonder if you can stand
The taste of the fire
Cos for sure you can't finish
The food certainly
When the crowd cook for you

Allan's Happy Ending, Part Iii

...It was two years later, while at his desk,
Altan felt a pain he’d never known before,
Tried to call for help, it came out a croak,
the last thing he remembered was the floor.

When he came too, he found himself walking
towards a small and quaint outdoor café.
Janet waited there, tilting in her chair,
with a big piece of bread, munching away.

She smiled, and said, “Took you long enough,
I’ve been waiting a good while, you know.”
He said, “I’m sorry, the trip here was long,
had to see to the kids before I could go.”

She smiled, and said, “It’s Friday, you know,
and the food they got here does not fall short.”
So they sat and talked as married couples do,
about their children and things of that sort.

When finished she spoke, “We’ll see them in time,
but I’m glad to have you alone right now.
They’re waiting for us at the bed-and-breakfast,
it’ll be good to get out of the house.”

He grinned softly, and nodded at her words,
and felt a weight he’d long known disappear,
took Janet’s hand and then strolled down the street,
just feeling happy he was finally here.

Tekeli Pitha

My beloved tekeli pitha!
They are rice cakes from Assam.
They are made by steaming them in a kettle (I call tekeli) lid.

Tekeli pitha
or
Kettle cake
tint of jaggery
making love with crushed coconut
cloak in grained rice
and spell of sesame seeds
steam and serve me
i tucked into the pithas in my kitchenette
I live with the aroma here in Assam
I carry the recipe to you there in London

Rongali Bihu

Rongali bihu

Rong cascading down
the days around April fifteenth
jotted over the almanac
(Rong bihu or Rongali bihu, the Assamese gala)
luring New Year for the Assamese peeps and their culture

Rong gleaned from Vishuvam - the Sanskrit word
Rong elucidates vernal equinox
Rong typifies joy
like lovers discreetly conclave in the cavern
when two bodies melded with one soul
Rong caught a whiff of fresh kopou phool perfume - Foxtail Orchid or Dove Flower
Rong is humble abode of the shameless parasites Cuckoo
enduring the rythym of Assamese peeps and their culture

Rong is the dance of life
Rong is the food celebration
Rong is the offspring of love and happiness

#and in background, I can hear my beloved 80's hit song - 'O Xun Toradoi Nasaba Morom Lagakoi' (O My Dear Beloved Don't Stare Adorably) ...

Com Primo Soil

They craved something sweet
Something specail
A one of a kind lady deserves
Specail things for a specail lady
Madagascar vanilla for
A treat
Weather with cream or
Or with chocalate
Strawberries
Or flavor in your
Favorite sauce
Or make that
Kuril island toast
With pound cake
Toasted hazelnuts
Whiskey and coconuts
Kamchatka cream
and of course chocalate
Everyone will love you
Everyone will
Want more

Amvalu of Valchiavenna

She bragged about
Enjoying the embarrassment
Of being rich
She spoke of
Opportunities
That were available
To her thru those
Trends that complimented
What she already knew
And wasn't nervous
About doing
Her strengths were
The Reas n she bragged.
Her weaknesses came from
Those fears she kept hidden
Treasures the shame of
Wealth
Those who long for my
Attention are unattractive
And poor
There needs my ability to
Exploit?
Or might I provide service
To help those who need it.

Violino di Capra
The shoulders or
Hindleggs of
The goat shall
Be brined in
Wine, salts, sugars, honey
Cayenne, garlic, onion
Celery's and peppers
Rosemary, thyme, bay leaves
And the rest of citruses
Perched to cure
The Gods and Goddess
Of gossip minds you.

Tell Me Why

Tell me why
Everyone got a question
Called why
W/why must life be so
H/hard when we are given
     Enough from nature
Y/yet we cry

Tell me why
Everyone got a question
Called why
W/why must a baby be
Born just to die of starvation
H/how come surplus food
Out there in places are now
   A scarcity
Y/yet our rich waste been
   Still can feed the poor

Tell me why
Everyone got a question
Called why
W/why do we exist
H/here on earth
Y/your existence is not
Sudden even if you are poor

Tell me why
Everyone got a question
Called why
W/why can't the world
H/here the voice of nature
Y/your life can be with out nature
So respect the gift of life

Tell me why
Everyone got a question
Called why
W/why this why that
H/have this have that
Y/yet at the end
    We leave life empty
    And go away with nothing
