Poetry
Neither hobby
nor pastime
its grip ever
grows
Its hold on my
heart
through the drought
and the snow
Each word
that it sends me
each phrase
to impound
And blessing
the silence
my Savior
— resounds

Their honor

The sword

Betwixt & Between
Better or worse
those two oxymorons
Lying in wait
entrapping the weak
Lo and Behold
they claim self-importance
Lo and Behold
thoughts watered and meek
Polar extremes
they float barely conscious
To lure you between them
and hold you quite mad
Bye after Bye
they muddle your choices
Bye after Bye
— good orphaned with bad

All

Laying the

their foray
If either

something more
Entrapping

At the
Event Horizon
‘No Exit’

Front to back
side to side
entropic

A blacker hole
a deeper truth
beyond just
right or wrong
Light imprisoned
no way out

IN SILENT SHADOWS::
Increasing in intensity
nightmares,
screams because the
instigator never
letting go,
entrapping the victim
never stopping with the
threats,
striking
hurting them with
abusive mannerisms
defending themselves as an
over taker
who now threatens my
safety and security.
Pain and torment over many years,
living like this always in fear,
in the silent shadows, never knowing what to expect,
fearing for your life,
wondering where is the knife? Trapped in the silent shadows.
Wanting to tell someone the story,
not to relive the gory, resolve to my silent shadows.
Seeking the encouragement to find my way out,
making my way with a loud shout, leaving without the shadow of doubt.
What I thought was love, was never love.
Out of the silent shadows into the light,
taking off and enjoying the flight,
What joy, what delight.
Finally free, finally at peace,
Free from the chains that bound me
among those Silent Shadows.

A demon’s playing
but no one’s listening
Black whirlwind coming
tomorrow hissing
The moment christened
in dark despair
Entrapping vision
beyond repair
A mantra chanting
its rhythm waning
Despoiled virtue
with time refraining
Unmasking Hoder
in blind respite
The god of darkness
—and lost delight

“Fathomless faith gets divine blessings to rise from the entrapping evil marsh” – Quote by Poet
On squalid quicksand you walked obsessed and weary,
gripped by the demons of sin as vicious as they could be,
sank in the destined depth of abhorrent abyss of bane,
wrapped within the despicable layers of livid disdain.
The lancet of immorality lacerated the ethical essence,
you had long tried in vain to protect within sane sense.
The grave for the soul slain by the stab of sordid sin,
you had dug contrite in the ground of anguish within.
As divine awareness ignited the candle of hope in you,
you perceived revived the conscience got kindled anew,
and lighted up the dark alley of introspection inherent,
you reached the self-illumined horizon of discernment.
With your being cleansed of the depraved turpitude slime
by the allusion of self-absorbed sense of sagacity prime,
at the lit fringe of life you see the shadow of the time still
when you were entrapped within the quagmire of evil.

In her presence, my heart's bounds grew weak,
For her long legs held me, a captive so meek.
With every stride, grace adorned her way,
A prisoner to beauty, night and day.
Silken whispers brushed against the air,
Her slender limbs, a sight beyond compare.
In their length, a secret power resides,
Entrapping my spirit, where passion hides.
Oh, how I longed to wander their path,
To explore the depths of their seductive math.
Her steps, a rhythm, a symphony to adore,
I yearned for freedom, yet craved her allure.
Ensnared within her elegant embrace,
I found solace in that enchanted space.
Her long legs, a labyrinth of desire,
I willingly surrendered, caught in the fire.
She moved with purpose, each stride a spell,
Her captivating spell, I couldn't quell.
Her long legs held me captive, it's true,
For in her presence, my world found a new view.

Unfathomed
Consciousness swims slick outside my fingers,
Trembling perceptions pure and round.
Infinitely slow I close my grip,
Entrapping, and watch them drown.

Amidst the Snowflakes
Like thousands of soldiers in parachutes
they come out of the winter sky
One by one hitting the pavement
to claim victory for the season now unfolding
At first they are vanquished almost instantly
a price paid for those leading the charge
However as they begin to accumulate and cluster
a formidable foe is being created
Inch by inch, foot by foot, a fortress is being built
one that can be transformed into an igloo for shelter if needed
Soon the landscape will be covered by a heavy white blanket
left unattended it will run amok overwhelming all
As plummeting temperatures assault those not ready
once open lakes and river pathways no longer escape routes
A battering ram of inclement weather hampering travel
imprisoning those caught unaware of its fury
Snow drifts form obstructing passageways
entrapping those not prepared with an escape route
Waiting out the enemy a defensive strategy now in use
As it surrounds you on all sides building an oppressing presence
High winds and frostbite commingling in the air
that will dominate at the end of the day
Beauty or beast
The conflict yet to be decided.

How cosmically divine...
the rays of sunshine
you emit
on stygian, wretched days
that meet me!
Each time you wear
that charming smile
of yours
with no guile
hidden behind it, for me,
I'm also kissed on the lips
by your entrapping eyes.
My uncaged soul...
gifted wings to take
heavenly flight.

Not by her eyes did I stop in my tracks
Though they spoke as Celtic forest rings
And glittered as a wyvern's hold.
Not by her voice soft,
Sweet as a siren entrapping my soul
Resonate as Christmas bells carried by
A valley crystalline in new snow.
Neither her touch, which infuses my weary flesh
Tonic of revival and haven of hearth.
Delicious like peppermint cider
Warming me from within.
Not by any, but by all these
Her being more than jetties to break the waves
More than trees that soften the squall
More than a harbor for my soul
Yea, he writhe in pleasure, peace, and home

After supper Jesus went out to pray
his friends kept watch some distance away.
“Father, spare me this test,
yet you know what is best.”
Well fed they did doze to Jesus' dismay.
“Could not you keep awake just one hour?
Beware lest you fall to the tempter's power.
The Spirit may be ready
but the flesh isn't steady.”
Once more he prayed for enduring willpower.
Returning from prayer in hope of backing,
James, Peter and John, still they were napping.
“Enough! The hour is here,
my betrayer is near
to give me a kiss, one that's entrapping.
Mark 14.32-42

Entrapping the magic,
philosophers moan
Theory after theory,
no meat on the bone
They label and mark,
their didactics retooled
Force feeding their ramble
to dilettante-fools
And when in the end
they are then proven wrong
They slink back to their hollows,
where the vanquished now throng
But a new tier of ‘masters’
has taken their place
To lecture and spiel
—and pontificate

The dreamer dreams, becoming the object
How may the object awake as subject
Unreal object is but a thought beam
Our desire impels thought as a life stream
Bubble bursts when the object does not react
Cessation the way to exit this net
Desireless entity, its course corrects
Void like space and ungraspable like steam
The dreamer dreams
Ego fictional does urges direct
Entrapping attention to deeds suspect
Hypnotic bind from which we cannot wean
Vaporisation alone reclaims sheen
Object vanishes, our stance then erect
The dreamer dreams
