Astir

Iridescent crow wings
scatter ice particles, patches of air clatter.

Grackle claws engrave the frozen creek,
small owls emerge from blanching shadows,
fieldmice burrow into snow drifts.

A small stir in the flappable; facets
dazzle a dazed daylight.

A newly unearthed sky pauses to blink
life stutters, shimmers back
twice as bright.

A Gate Forever Closed

A guilty man's bride was sadly taken.
Heaven's gate was closed - no prayer could save.
Grief-stricken, this poor man, godforsaken,
saw a grim vision of his future grave.
A sad, ghostly figure did awaken,
groaning, "your soul will always be the slave
of memories when your heart was shaken".
Fate's words would on his heart and tomb, engrave.
     This gossamer ghost sank beneath a stone,
     damned to a dark eternity alone.

Under the weeping willow,
I sit in seeping soil
on my knees
as I carve into trees,
to engrave our love naturally—
Do you do the same for me?

Under the loved leaves,
I lay in degloved detachment
upon your feet 
as you attempt to leave,
to sacrifice myself indefinitely—
Do you do the same for me?

Set For Life

Set for life are the memories family times can engrave.
I hoped for functional behaviors our heart’s could sustain.

Racing, zoom-zoom, noises broadcast from my husband's cave
Where motorcycle races and noises always entertain.

Viewing wrestling on his bedroom TV is our offspring's fave.
He emotes enough excitement to possibly overstrain.

I nest in our living room with all edibles I might crave
And watch dramas that aid my reality escape campaign.

Apart, we watch TV warmly united in love's blessed wave.
By yelling through the house we keep togetherness in our domain.

Shy Heart

Being in constant isolation/
The heart weakens without contact/
My heart used to/
Have a way with words/
To slowly weaken/
Only to stumble and fall/
My heart has things to say/
But I am unable to/
Let alone the fear of rejection/
Or some idiot calling the police/
Can you read/
What my eyes implore to you/
My heart is trying to speak/
Through my eyes/
To engrave what my heart/
Has to say without words/
I feel the drums beating/
Heart thumping so hard/
My shy heart is unable/
To express my inner heart/
Show my shy heart/
How to react like a normal one/

Hawk Ascending

This day-shine has a wine glass for every atom.
A great pond of light floods a crystalline skyscape.

Here in a wind-turned clarity
glints of a lantern-etched lucidity
take substance and form.

Clearly, only elemental spirits
could have conjured such, with their innate power
to engrave the invisible.

Looking back, I see, stamped into feature,
a flight, a bolt of breathing, hawkish tinder.

Over my shoulder, swift unfurled talons
seem to seize the bare and leaping air,

only then, do I spy a prey
wriggling into one last appearance
as wings arrow upwards.

mapping the void

on befriending silence we discovered
deep truths of existence unravelling
with light of our true being uncovered
we found Self in the vast void travelling

Self as living light, vibrant and aglow
dwells in time dissolved peace, feeling complete 
yet love, wisdom and power does not know
though undoubtedly synced with God’s heartbeat

poised as such, we set up an intent wave
to enrich awareness with love agape
that in the void, hues of bliss we engrave
sculpting all souls to take on a new shape

wisdom and power, in time will be ours ~
grace alone is, the force that empowers

Heroes That Sing Out Loud

are 
the 
heroes
that
sing out loud
throughout
this world

And I shall sing

And I shall sing
in vibrations against the sunrise breeze, beauty for eyes that slowly open, almost sleepy, towards a new beginning of the day, and as the light sneaks through the leaves, I feel my soul like a blank page, ready to be written by the moments to come.
I will breathe the moment into my cells, to engrave a memory of the gift, to launch the day of daydreams, and as the cold air fills my lungs, I feel that every particle in me vibrates with gratitude, like a silent melody in the rhythm of my heart.
And I shall sing,
to radiate gratitude as if I were the sun dancing, sending rays of love into every dark corner of the soul, and in that warm light, I lose myself in the depths of my thoughts, like in an endless ocean.
I will sing,
as the doors open with crystal magnificence, and the birds fly gracefully to kiss my ears, and in that moment of grace, time seems to stop, and I become one with the universe, in perfect harmony.
And as I sing,
so do the birds resound across the sky of cloud peaks, in a floating moment, in sync with my heart, and I feel like a speck of dust dancing in the sunset light, carried by the wind of destiny, on an endless journey.

If I be God

IF I BE GOD

                 I will;
Chop down the mountain
To a lovely beckoning 
In a time when they gasp
In a moment when they thirst
In the rays of light at stake

Wheel around the mountain, to cover
Check the clock of time, to slow
Make the green smile forever
Let them know that their God lives
In the heart of the ocean to roar 
In the heart of the forest so teeming

If I be God
Which I'm not
If I be God 
Which I'll love

I'll create a vacuum 
Let it slow down wheel of time
Let it feel voidness from ages
Make life impacting, so great!
Remove the bad ones at will
Engrave the good ones to soil

Wheel of time to control 
Wheel of moment and days
Wheel to roll o'er the stones
Wheel changes, by the heart of God
Those around the wheel at His mercy
Time to be born, time to die

If I have the wheel of time
To control the earth at will
Let violence be gone, no reel!
Peace be still! God has spoken
The mind of God; in the heart of men
Playing God isn't my lot, let God speak

Epitaph

I saw epitaph
Engrave says, "He died of love".
Pinch my heart to laugh.

LIES ON THE LIPS OF MEN

"Keep me on the side," they plead
Wrapping truth to mislead.
Beating around, their essence hidden
Their desires, they cruelly smitten.

"It's not what you think," they whisper
As the broken trust they strive to foster.
But trust betrayed is hearts dismayed
The path to true love, they've strayed.

"I chose the wrong one," they lament
Trying to catch you, their intent bent.
Playing games with your fragile mind
Leaving wounds with cure hard to find.

"I love you," they declare
Yet moments ago, unaware.
Is it your soul they truly crave
Or merely the image they engrave?

Imagination

Earth evolve with change
Ideas result by concept
Truth engrave like sage.

I wonder, do you miss me?
Although I wouldn't ask
The times we're not together 
For me are quite the task

There's longing that's inside me
I never let it show
It rises from its slumber
The moment that you go

Your presence I desire
Your company I crave
Take me with you Bluebird
