Couple jabs
Doesn't sound bad
But rolling up a shirt
Pin pricks hurt
What do we do
Not get vaccination flu
Must
Talk and trust
That is not a fuss
To find the proper decision
Since a boo boo needs kissing
Filled with tender loving care
Soothing any pediatric scare
Dusk falls early, the sky is painted in hues of grey,
Echoes of flute music hovers over leaf bare lanes,
Crisp air carries old separation songs and new quiet hope,
Each breath a frost-soft whisper by the window pane.
Memory seems to glide gently where the candles burn low,
Branches of trees seek help from heavens by stretching their arms towards the sky,
Easing of burdens we cannot undo or remake,
Rooted in faith like seeds beneath the cold ground lie.
Drift of snow-dust promises that beneath the hard earth
Awake the green, the unseen, the tender shoot of spring.
Yearning for rebirth, we stand in the stillness of time,
Surrendering what we cannot change, embracing what will bring.
What kind of kid was Emory Schmid?
He only did what he had to did,
and when he done what had to be done,
he called it a day, that son of a gun.
He burned both candle ends down to the wick,
and he got hisself in trouble, thick.
No one knew what made him tick.
He warn't born with the sense of a brick.
I met him once on the Montana grass.
Knee-high, he was, to a grasshopper's ass,
and I asked him plainly, right out flat,
but he only just stared and spat.
Whatever it was he done or did,
we must remember, he was just a kid.

(a final, almost whispered keystroke),
(it is perfect).
Falling Autumn leaves brashly wave goodbye to Summer
And strew the pathways with emeralds, rubies, and gold.
Radiant beauty engages the land in mummer
Encouraging Summer to relent and let loose its hold.
Watching with glum expression and immodest dress,
Eventually losing the tug-of-war with the chill cold.
Life and death become the drum to which She will bend
Leaving the breathless Wind time to nimbly mend.
Tomorrow She moves forward
Onward from time borrowed.
Sulking away with dried diamonds
Until Autumn’s auric sky explodes
Mindfully exposing Her horizons.
Memory of Summer implodes.
Efficacious efforts of Her victory,
Reign of Autumn’s golden glory.
A,wake my beauty, raise your single sail
L,et's leave the comfort of your harbor
L,eave behind your worries as well
O,verboard lies the sea of dreams
W,here time can stand forever still
Y,ou say that time has escaped you
O,n route to finding yourself
U,nder a blanket of misery
R,etaining the pain as well
S,ecure your right for passage
O,n the sea that never ends
U,nder your velvet blanket
L,ies the key to the door within
I,nhale the loving aroma
T,hat enchant the dreamer's realm
S,o don't fall victim to the dreamer's hell
F,ind the love you had as a child
R,ewind those forgotten years
E,vade the pain of misery
E,mbrace your life With cheer
D,own the sea of dreams
