Sharp durian
Smells like hell
Taste like heaven.
It is okay
what's important
you're aware of your veins
anchored to the continent
of your soul
with a very deep hug
even darkness is not visible
but it's not blind
to your brain's eyes.
To where you turn yourself
return to your heart
that may you pick your face
in the road's spots
while dining a durian
and whatever load
that comes to you
live and don't let that waste
to bring you down.
You're a pride
that your nation is you
yes you're humiliated
because of your name
but with a piece of white pearl
you can able to shake the ocean...

The sudden bright rain
When durian flowers* fall--
Smell of bigger joy.
Fresh pungent smells in durian bask,
Rich creamy taste of bitter-sweet;
Aroma tells of thorny husk,
Gather in haste such dessert treats;
Rich flavours range in unique tense,
Ask for the best type to fit need;
Note pleasures strange to appease sense,
Trust durian fest with vivid feed.
Deep feasts delight on heavy spend,
Urge knows fine eats in fragrant scent;
Rich fancy sights such lovely trends,
Indulge fine bits with fond intent;
Align clear wants with variety,
Now desire fronts the durian spree!

Singapore
there at the foot of the hill
stands a lone durian tree -
tall, strong and stately;
from its branches hanging
fruits with oval, spiky rind
prickly and sharp as nails;
the foulest smelling fruit
on earth the durian crop
it makes you throw up;
but crack open its shell
then you shall uncover
food of the gods under;
tasty and rich and sweet
milky, loamy and creamy
aphrodisiac to so many;
stinky fruit but most dear
to those who do not care
about its rough covering;
so very difficult to grow
this delicate Asian tree
say experts in pomology;
cheers to all good people
who, like the durian fruit,
may appear ugly outside;
yet though they may stink
are so beautiful inside
where it really matters.
