Three quarters of the time,
I am able to rhyme,
but you won't be gleaning
a whole lot of meaning.
It's all because this dunce
can't do two things at once.

He looked like a muttonhead, yet he was no dunce
Correct on trivia, and only answered once
Sort of a know-it-all, most women stayed away
Okay by him; his computer played trivia all day.

so look at us, the princess and her fool
this painted jester - just a silly clown
we frolic nonchalant and coolly cruel
the joker, begging for his lady's crown ...
a humble tear hides coy within your eye
and trickles with the batting of your lid
such damp and dour attempts to justify
the furtive pretext of the crimes you hid ...
devouring whole my feigned ascetic life
you press a pulse within me and without
compelled to grip your goodbye like a knife
to perforate my veins and bleed you out ...
so, should you need your martyr to deplore
he clots ... in shallow pools upon the floor.

dancing on a cloud with the stars I am dancing
a crescent moon smiling at me I am dancing
the dunce left below i am dancing dancing
not wearing the hat I dance myself in a corner

"The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once."--Einstein
"what's time," asked the tyke
"just pick any time you like
since they all happen at once"
as knows any horological dunce
and dickory up my clock and strike

I need an act of heroism
To defeat the terrorism
That's been in my world and soul
I've been broken, never whole
Torn to shreds by horrid lies
Handed to me by sly guys
Each one took another slice
I willingly fave for a price
A high cost that I have paid
Lesson learned, I will not trade
My hearts affections anymore
I need to even up the score
Letting my heart win for once
I was stupid and a dunce
Smarter the next time around
My heart starts to wind around
Sweet smiles or smooth maneuvers
By love lusted evil doers
I'll look for signs that have been
Problematic way back when
Passing by love criminals
Waiting till my soul reveals
The sign I've been looking for
Shaking me right to the core
With alarms, whistles, and bells
Flowing in my mind to tell
My heart its safe to say hello
Green light love ready to grow

The Dunce of the Class
By Elton Camp
Alas, the poor dunce of the class
He was just barely able to pass
Couldn’t read until third grade
Not many brains in that haid
About math let’s not discuss
For he rode on the short bus
But football he managed to play
That was where his hope lay
To state college he took a trip
Thanks to athletic scholarship
The dunce finally eked a degree
As a physical ed major you see
It was a coach that he then became
Director of a violent child’s game
For a few seasons, he could win
But then he couldn’t do it again
But once a coach has been hired
Very rarely is he simply fired
To the school’s lasting shame,
It was principal that he became
He still struggles to read or write
Secretary keeps him out of a tight
Academics have gone down the drain
As long as principal he does remain
