Christmas and weddings
let all the Bells and whistles blow
dinner Bell /school Bell /break Bell
everyone saved by the Bell
dumbBells /barBells
it's all gas to hells Bells
in the gym
sleigh Bells/ silver Bells
melancholy warm feeling
anxiously awaiting doorBell
last minute Christmas gifts
dinner time has arrived
anyone for Taco Bell or
TinkerBell's?

Another day at the gym,
Pumping iron for the swell.
Aching muscles feeling grim,
As I put myself through hell.
Boneless chicken that I bake,
Egg whites keep me lean.
Protein powders in a shake,
With a dose of creatine.
Heavy squats inflate the quads,
Bench presses for my pecs.
Arm curls to increase the odds,
In the mirror just to flex.
Pull-ups will expand the lats,
Back with snatch and grabs.
Cutting out excessive fats,
And crunches for my abs.
Stretching to protect my calves,
Dumbbells for bulging traps.
Smearing on more greasy salves,
For running more than twenty laps.
After many hours dripping sweat,
My daily workout finally done.
Don't you know I won't regret,
While basking in the blazing sun.

It's the resolution graveyard
for those good intentions, cursed,
opening hours from New year's day
to February first.
Here's a pile of treadmills,
dumbbells stacked up near the gate,
abandoned by the desperate
who promised to lose weight.
The hungover who'd had enough,
repenting for their sins
have left wine bottles by the ton
in bright blue wheelie bins.
The smell of chocolate, biscuits, cake
they permeate the air,
left by those stood on bathroom scales
who said life wasn't fair.
Invisible unless up close,
hidden by a yellow fug,
the cigarettes thrown in the bin
from smokers, feeling smug.
The gravedigger, like Santa,
only toils here once a year,
and tirelessly he works his spade
until all have disappeared.
His shovel cleaned, oiled, put away
and ready for next time
when the graveyard gates squeak open wide
upon the New year chimes.
No mourners toss handfuls of dirt,
no eyes are wiped in sorrow,
since all of us are well aware
the diet starts tomorrow.

Words flow through me
I bring them to the
Surface
Like a tireless wave
Drowning over the earth
I bring to you
Whispers from the old soul
I bring you doubt
Dumbbells rung ding
I bring you truth
Trust with in your heart
I bring to you hopes
I break it down..
Shallow little clowns
I pull you closer
To the rising of the rainbows
I watch. As the color' fades
I bring to you flames
I watch as your blood trickles
I watch as your head drop's
Low
Hands over your head
The fountains of tears
Are in my ears
I watch as you waste away
I place the sun upon your
Face ..
I listen and wait for
A twisted tongue to ask
I watch as you return again and again
I listen to see if you learn
Perhaps some will never
For they shall only burn......
I'm like a riddle
A place in the middle
Open me up
Like a forgotten book
I'm a door
That's been closed
Beneath your soul
I'm your light
Did you even knowledge
You had a glow..
Can you comprehend
Perhaps listen again..
To the old soul..
And reap and learn
For what you sow....
.until we meet again

The Temptation of Eve and Adam
I never meant to give up Paradise.
I should have been content with each golden sunrise,
But that abominable serpent had me completely mesmerized,
Whispering strange suggestions in my ears, it took me quite by surprise.
Too late I realized
That my mind had been paralyzed,
Tricked by this evil personified,
And somehow I couldn’t resist gazing into its malevolent, cold, reptilian eyes.
Surrendering to its hypnotic spell,
Blood-red apple enchanting me, enticing me, it was an easy sell.
Convincing Adam to do the same was simple and he took a bite as well.
Alas, disobedience has its consequences, and in a nutshell,
From the Garden of Eden we were expelled,
Banished to the realms of eternal hell.
Like common criminals who get caught and thrown into a jail cell,
We are considered to be utter dumbbells.
And our names are now listed in the Hall of Infamy where they will always dwell.

The chimes startled Steve
Dropping the dumbbells
He rushed to his door
The uniform disturbed him
So much more than the bells
Ever could
He is a man
He will not cry
He will not faint
The officer hands him the envelope with condolences
How will he tell her son?
John Dunne
Said it all
The bell tolls
For thee

Form: I do not know?
walking in I see I'm not the only one thinking,
1,2,3,4, every rep every set the body pumping,
rock in the speakers so no one starts screaming,
from the treadmills to the dumbbells every ones pushing,
we go to the gym to get away,
here we find our thoughts of the day,
no one knows no one can sees it's our way,
all our troubles in millions of sets whats there to say.
with every calorie we burn every sweat that falls,
bills are paid, all is forgiven,no longer crawling the walls,
it's how we release how we let go it's our peace of mind that is all,
we walk in with so much on our minds,
we walk out with the smile we couldn't find,
we don't find it in abuse in a bottle or looking for signs,
we find our thoughts here in the gym that is how we unwind.
