The Guard

The guards

They are coming, who are coming
I feel the dust, a dry power from the dry land far, and hear they must have marched long
Are they churning the land with restless feet
I don't know, I hear the humming
animals flee from their newborn ones, too late
the hum will burst their ears.
We are not rabbits, get ear-mufflers and bravely fight
do not give in before the humming stops.
They are coming closer, my lord. Who is coming closer, the ugly old man who sings loudly and farts
on stage, did you mean drumming? Of course
What can we do? Buy food for the weekends, buy beer
switch off the TV, radio, and internet, we must suffer to
ride on broomsticks to a land of pink flowers sweet lambs, and tiny Bambi deer.
Waving leather-bound bibles, we shall overcome.

Premium MemberDeath To You, Corona

Not the beer, of course!

  Death to you, Covid-19
        Mass-murderer
Coward in hiding, festering,
  attacking surreptitiously
       Sucker-punching
       Men and women,
        young and old.
  Babies and animals, too.
   I bet you hate puppies!
         Shame on you
    throwing poison darts
     at people in the dark!
      Come into the light,
       you monster you!
   Is it because you know
         your ugly mug
        is good enough
           for decking?
    Die off soon, evil one.

It’s hard to see the good when your
bombarded with the bad.
It’s hard to crack a smile when your
soul and mind are very sad.

It’s hard to hear angels whisper
when the demons start to sing.
It’s hard to find the light when the
horizon is so dim.

It’s hard to feel humanity when you
hear the animals scream and cry.
It’s hard to see the reasoning when
you get beaten for asking why.

It’s hard to feel empathic when they
burn your love away.
It’s hard to keep your temper when
fools provoke you in every way.

It’s hard to walk a straight line when
life keeps twisting all your dreams.
It’s hard to trust another when no one
is who they seem to be.

It’s hard to find comfort when the
rocks begin to fall.
It’s hard to feel compassion when
your beating down every wall.

It hard to find the sanity lurking in
the back of your mind.
It’s hard to listen to nothing when
inside you starts to cry.

It’s hard to see the point of it when
you know how easy it is to take away.
It’s hard to keep your grip on life
when it changes every second of every
minute of every day.

Peace

On the mountains high smelling nature. The East came the sun and south came the wind.

And it was enchanting as trees sprung up to smiling sunrise waving hands at the passing by winds that swept across.

It looked like Peace.
I strolled down to the calm waters at the feet of the mountain,

And I loved the colour the waters wore.

I observed how heavier the fountain falls with roar into the gentle flow.

I stood still solid a century just trying to fathom if that's Peace.
Peace is the language on tongues now.

People speak it with arrow and bow.
Others speak it with greetings with bow.

We speak it, don't see it, wondering if it's just an illusion.

For at that nature sight I saw animals fighting for survival under the gentle waving trees I thought it was peace.

Deep down the calming waters did I you see the fishes striving for survival yet the surface looks peace.

Peace is everyday fight.

We speak it, don't feel it, wondering if it's just an illusion

I Can Hear Him Coming

I sense the air sizzle
As it begins to boil
Brimstone and lava
Scorch sand and soil
The animals flee
To escape the unknown
The ground opens wide
To release all he’s sewn.
Not only do I Hear him,
I can feel him too
No one escapes his coming
He’s seeking me and you!

Morning On Lake Rhapsody

Morning on Lake Rhapsody

Standing on her shore
Quiet beauty surrounds one
Gentle sounds still everywhere
Soothing eyes and ears

Soft golden light rising
Tall timber ridge aglow
Silken voice of loon
Telling tales of yesterday

Water's surface so calm
Nature's perfect mirror
Upside down yet lovely
Reflecting magnificence without ego

To be so lucky
Floating on her body
Ripples of gentle love
Tapping sweetly on canoe

A vision glimmering forever
Held eternally in mind
Precious high country jewel
Never losing her sparkle

Lady of the mountains
Friend to every creature
There when many leave
There when they return

Rivers....her outstretched arms
Waiting to embrace you
Babbling brooks....her fingers
Waiting to caress you

Haunting mist dances wistfully
From Rhapsody's cooling breast
Animals singing her praise
Liquid life given silently

Premium MemberOceans of Ferocity

What are we?
Travellers caught in a life space -
souls through eternity?

Who are we?
People? Beings? Animals?
Our true nature is hidden deep.
Would we recognise our true self
in the hour of need?

Why are we?
Coexisting with each other.
Conversations, friends, a civilised
cup of tea?
Caged to the rule of law to maintain
society?

What will happen?
When nature reveals a new form of
human anarchy?

Do we seriously think that nature
has no power over the human races
longevity

Do we seriously think our future
grass will get greener when history
spells out humankind is built on
sinister yet tailored savagery?

Do we feel?
Do we feel a cold wind gathering?
Do we trap the beast of nature for
our selfish pitiful greed?

As natural as the water in the
deepest sea, we are as natural as
can be.
But this earth as seen it all before so,
so many times indeed.

Do we see?
Do we see that in the big picture the
life and history of humanity is nothing
but a tear drop in nature’s ocean of
ferocity?

Animals

Animal
Liv Van De Walker

The consciousness of hate, bubbling and boiling; so hot and vicious
Like warm blood oozing from splitting wounds
Licking and clawing, Licking and clawing
Attempting to heal over but only scabbing
Voracious speech, in one’s mind, gnawing and gnawing
and hopelessly tearing the same skin on a jagged name

Justice In the Making

We just pawns changing from side to side
Escalating to knights or lucky even higher kings
But we can never surpass the masters
The controllers, we just chest pieces and they gods
Leaders of this psychological imprisonment
The game set to be only one winner
But we the soldiers so we meant to die
Thats life and the modern world is the play ground
Full of illusions, from poverty to the richest
kings and queens, governments and celebs to all kinds of careers
In school its set against peers and test yourself confidence
To set a motive for other teens
The world kind of the same thing
Earth what is this place from blue skies to dark and shining stars
from the sun to the moon
What a mysterious place to be in
Full of wonder and sacred civilizations
To monuments constructed to represent higher beings
From animals revolving around each other
To humans fighting one another cause of political systems
and misunderstandings, all illusions which have been
Implanted on us, the strange game of living
It will change time to time just all to test our limit
From past to present and into the future what a set back
of virtual reality, complex humanity.

Smoke bellows from a chimney,
Raping the innocent sky of its dignity,
Needlessly denying helpless animals,
Of their precious gift of life,
With no sense of shame or pity,

Premium MemberAlien Hunters Feast

Pain, what is pain?
You speak of it, you know it's name
You bawl and wail, water falls from your eyes?

So many more of you
So many yet so few, the animals we left here too
There life means nothing to you

You hunt and feed on all your beasts
Predator of flesh, blood and bone
You find your ways to use what you don't own

Now hunted you are, now meat, now bones
Your place at the table; taken by your foes
Though alien we may be, this was once our home

Now mankind is not free
Because it's been overthrown
We enjoy raw meat and now you I own

Because to us you are meat, because to us you are bones

Premium MemberSilent Screams

Oh the wonders and welcome joys of spring
Nature awakes from dormant slumber
As flora buds in profusion
The perky robin trills and sings.

I sit by an open window writing
Hoping to find my muse
Warm sunshine and fresh air caress my skin
A feeling of sheer joy peace and contentment
Fills my soul and mind within.

A newspaper near by
Suddenly catches my eye
Headline leaps from the page
Reality strikes like a thunderbolt
''Hundreds of innocents dead in war''
Filling me with deep sadness and rage.

It seems almost surreal
And a million miles away
But as I languish in the sublime
There's a world out here in disarray
And I can't do nothing about it.

I can't hear
Just imagine
A mothers screams and cries
As she holds her baby as it dyes
Or see the countless starving
The people living on the street
The animals cruelly killed for meat.

It's all a nightmare
I'm so lucky. i live the dream
Atrocities are happening everywhere
Even though they are not head or seen
NOW !.

And i care.
Sure you do too.
