Domine Poems

NON NOBIS DOMINE

NON NOBIS DOMINE

Significant, back in the day
Was the Knight Templar cross pattee
Red and stout with its flattened ends
A different message that it sends

Papal directives to obey
Significant, back in the day
A secretive knightly order
Sent to the Holy Land border

To take and keep Jerusalem
The holy city, a real gem
Significant, back in the day
Try to keep Saladin away

The order grew and was wealthy
Their cavalry charge not stealthy
For years, kept enemies at bay
Significant, back in the day

Alto Desempenho

Alto nível
Alto desempenho...

Nessa ou em outra década,
para ser uma pessoa
de “alto nível”
com elevado desempenho
e um nome a ser evocado,
escolha o seu caminho simples,
domine o momento
fique atenta àquilo que deseja
aumenta a sua persistência
e “leve a vida”

Momento De Necessidade

In Old California 6

Then Margarita gave her father mind,
for she was very happy being home.
Hence three years placed in a covent confined
where she's had little use of brush and comb.
Removed from places she loved most to roam,
the fields and plains of fine San Luis Ore.
For loving Yankee, sealed in great round dome,
but home with father, spirit high did soar.

Was she wrong thinking happy home thoughts, priest,
when she should be now praying while on knees?
But really she now didn't care the least
for she had little mind the priest to please.
Took she all pleasure fine that mind could seize,
a gold cross o'er the alter gained her eyes.
The somber monotones of priest did ease,
and lady greatly marveled golden prize.

Benedicat vos onmipotens Deus, Pater,
et Filius, et Sprititus Sanctus. Amen.
Dominus vobiscum. Et cum Sprititu tuo.
Initium sancti Evangelii secundum Ioannem.
Gloria tibi, Domine.

Sabras Que Te Quiero

i stood over looking
the general view
of the bath of caracalla
evading sudatorium seduction
the church of st. cesarea
in palatio captured my thoughts
rather quickly i entered
sarcphagus of lucius scipio barbatus
dazed i was gently lifted
hovering above columbarium
of villa codini ah my human sufferage
unleashed near the arch of drusus
i found myself kneeling
beyond the gate of st. sebastian
how i'd remembered
the findings of the church
of domine quo vadis
welcoming of monks settled
deeply within catacombs
of st. callistus the fine
chapel of cornelius
the bishop winks at the sight
of cecilia's remains hisses of trickery
a covenant maderno's manner
lessons and arrows embedded
amids sebastians sculpture
ravished by greif
for giorgetti's finali catacombs
and tombs surrounding
my morbid energy force
abruptly backing right into
circus of mexentius shouting
metella metella open
the appian way
seneca's revealed
the tower of selce in ruins

Miserere - God Have Mercy On Me

Night after night,
 the hassock in my room,
 the only safe haven
against the bale anguish of times
reminding me of happiness gone by...

 Worn from kneeling,
 furrowed from wepping and sighing,
the purple velvet still carries traces
of time impressed with the Lord´s prayers...

Above, a crucifix in the wrath of God
reminds me of my insignificance...
My feeble and quiverving hands
are joined together,
convulsively around a rosary,

Hopelessly rising towards Thee
begging your -
Miserere, Domine!
