With care, I craft the words on the page,
but I see that they loathe being in this cage.
Too often, they break out of formation
and run everywhere — such disorganization!
I wonder if I should set the words free,
considering they’ve already done so much for me.
The next day, carrying a heavy heart,
I tell the words they are free to depart.
I reluctantly box up my paper and pen;
without words, I won’t ever use them again.
The next week, I sit at my desk with nothing to write . . .
Suddenly I hear a fluttering sound, and gasp at the sight
Flying back home, just like birds,
are all of my beloved words!
What brings me even more joy is the message they spell:
Exploring the world has gone very well,
but now we’re back and feeling brighter,
for we’ve found our true purpose —
to have you as our writer!

"There is no crime if there is no law..."
But everything else could be in confusion
We may let justice use its claw
To halt the state of desolation
Normlessness may bring disorganization
We may have laws to guide our path
But there's a need for decriminalization
Of strange laws that could bring more wrath
While there's pyramid, there's anarchy
Let laws even the difference
We're not in guild of monarchy
So halt the system of preference
Let bigotry have a vacation
In the land of no return
Let understanding have staycation
Let every freeman have their fair turn

Are my motives questionable
Maybe even disagreeable
Knowing they will be unforgettable
Therefore, under the magnifying glass examine
A male hippopotamus lost so much weight
He felt he was the bull most likely
To stay out late
With flamboyant, embellished cows
He was no longer
A defender of his character
Living in abandon
His life needed to be abolished
His old life he needed to follow
Acknowledge his achievements
His electric reputation
Don't you think it's curious
His now disorganization
Competitive drive
Relocated

I've been waiting up late for you,
watching the clock like a featured film.
Suspense waits no longer.
Here you arrive at 12 am
with a firework's bang.
At this hour,
this is your greeting?
Hello, January,
we need to talk....
I haven't seen you in months,
and you come barging in.
You come on so strong,
but sometimes you can be so cold.
You let me down last time you were here,
like torrents of hail and snowy hills.
Ah, snow can be fun, though,
and you did warm me up
with hot cocoa and a blanket.
Thanks for your reviving comforts.
What I'm trying to say is
that I've missed you,
and I forgive you.
I hope you can forgive
my past as well.
I'm sorry about my negative attitude
and my disorganization.
We should go on walks more
and eat healthy meals together.
I promise I'll be kinder,
and I'll try to appreciate
all the good you offer me.
Can we now start anew?

Feeling this disorganization
Reaching out for new awareness
Cold rubble beneath our hands
No conception of darkness
Is this the cruelest con
Moving boulders across this floor?
Feeling my spirit breaking
When asking, "What's this for?"
All we know for certain
Is surely we do not know
And we pray to the blackness
To reveal which way to go
Yet despite the emptiness
Learning a dance called Trust
We begin to move in harmony
Like ants amidst the dust
Then a beautiful epiphany
Like the first time to the ocean
The golden light now illuminating
The reason for this painful motion
The foundations of friendship
Are now falling into place
And I acknowledge this sacred temple
Seeing the sunshine on your face

Love in a salted wound
I could wait months, or years for
Finality
For absolute seizure, by your fingers upon my blighted heart
I speak in words like
Devotion
Desire
But its all lost in my disorganization,
Promises I can only hold above my head
Like a great weight
Supporting you and I
As long as you can hold your attention
Without looking away from my frailties
My own erosions- that as they fall,
Pass through you,
Like snow between the bare branches of my heart.
I am forever winter in the lack of
Your presence.
Waiting for the soft sound of your
Footsteps in the lifeless air.
Some sign of your journey here,
That does not echo back to me,
This is only a dream.
I wait
and wait
and wait
and there is only....

quiet, peaceful
blessed
solitude
double dyed
disorganization
all my very own
music loud
and often
without recrimination
terribly unhealthy
sleep habits
if I choose
but
no one to steal
my covers
