It is no secret!
That this country is still racist,
White, Black, Yellow, Brown and Red.
When all we see is colored faces!
For most our ignorance’s,
conjure illusions were not racist.
While some masquerade
in an attempt to misguide!
Some parade to protest
with riot in disguise!
Every day! Every day! Every day!
We display racism toward others,
we deem difference than,
by how we think,
transferring thoughts into behavior.
Racism is everywhere!
It is at work,
it is at school,
it is on TV,
and all over the news.
It is podcast on the radio
and on social media too!
It is all around us,
it surrounds us!
We project around with no realization,
that were all racist,
simply by our own fears,
emotions, and actions.
As stereotypical individuals,
whose attitude reflects it,
were just too judgmental
of others to recognize it.
Our own mystery
is no secret,
that we are racist too!

I have to let you go, because it feels like fate now, to some extent. We are meant for each other, but not in this realm. It’s as if there’s a 'glitch in the matrix'. An error pulling us apart. We were supposed to be together, trust me, What we felt was real, but it was only a taste of something much greater, something that may yet unfold in another time, in another place
I hope-and I know-I will find you there again, just as I have all the times before, and just as I always will. I believe in that.
I have to let you go now and i am certain-our paths will cross again. A future where we are together, as we were always meant to be.”

If I was a crow, I would get more respect the bunny said.
He used his creativity, imagination, and his marvelous head.
Put together a beak and wore it around for a week.
But could not caw, so his impersonation was weak.

A girl with looks like yours,
she must be on a mission
A pretty face
that could flip a bias
before even knowing it existed
Takes for granite everything,
and owes everyone apologies
But guess who’s never looking back
She says she’s never looking back for better
Oh, she’s grown from then
and never looking back
gives her the time to discover
new opportunities ahead of her
Her biggest weakness,
not her lack of discipline
it’s the world she validates
within the head on her shoulders

Disguised as a spaceship, she walked through the meadow that day.
Being watched by aliens close up, overhead, and some far away.
They were totally fooled, for her green was polished like granite gray.
She escaped being captured that wise wonderful whimsical day.

She came in as subtly as a verdent roach can
disguised as a ladybug, in a red polka dotted outfit
Beetles, grasshoppers and worms gave her a wide berth
feeling that something was wrong, but not quite knowing what
one brave firefly flew over to have a closer look
“It’s the one we banished,” he reported.
They chased her away, then, led by a young boy.
Bugs being who they are.

Some rooms were created to instill in us fear, yet the opposite existed.
After hours of anticipation, a warm welcome opened doors for me to come in.
As I blew my own trumpet, as panelists required, I confessed to the uncomfortabilty of self-expression.
Without further ado, a quick notice told of rejection to partake in the programme, but somehow feelings differed.
As if sent by the Lord himself, a message was delivered right that instant, giving light to a set disappointment though disappointment never came.
A sudden rise of compliments ~ what a change of events, left me in moments of awe.
Some rooms are meant to instill in us fear, yet that room set me free with more grace.
It's never too late to receive a blessing ~ the best moments are in waiting

heart throbbing misery from dreams of love
her hand in mine she pulls me close to her
whispering words i dont remember when i awake
i feel as if i was born to hurt
startled when realizing none of it is real and my reality makes me sad
i feel the universe hates me for things of lives i lived in my past
an old soul is what they call us
i dont remember nothing but this life
painful understandings
wasting pictures i imagine
mostly i feel im forced to waste my time

I
Humans are divine, but watch & emulate pigs
II
We have body-vehicles; "I'm my car," is like thinking you are poultry
III
Scripture helps us recall our divinity (versus eating with pigs, as the fate of The rude spendthrift & HEIR in LUKE 15, teaches us)
IV
Earthly problems drag us to poultry level.
Recall you are an eagle; fly with eagles

This poem is dedicated to my therapists
Ryan, Russell, Ken and Rafael.
This is a true story.
Where did it all go wrong,
A simple fall led me to my,
Body becoming alien to me.
My brain is not listening,
It's like I have disappeared altogether.
My mouth gives no words,
Only a language that no one understands,
Only pity is all they know.
I have thoughts and feelings,
But they lie dormant,
Just like my body.
I can't move only by the hands of strangers
Who talk and I just listen.
Months go by and I feel,
My muscles talking to me.
I begin moving,
My brain is awake.
The tears fall and these strangers hold me,
As I realize they are no longer,
Strangers but my angels.

Realizing you're just a sweet dream
I bit my tongue and feel what is real
You are between my fantasy and lonely scene
Then I looked at him
His laughter caused me to play the silly game
A complete 'it' feeling
However I'll stay with you and your gain
I admire you just like the cold rain
A disguised 'it' feeling
We have a mutual feelings
But we will never reveal
Hoping no one confesses to my coffin

My thoughts had been drowned.
smirked as I laid on the floor
seal was in her purse.

The Woman Disguised as my Mother
David J Walker
Mother
never
let us in
on
The secrets of the
Bygone time
When she might have
Smiled
(As if a child)
Thinking about
Someone
We would
Never know
And never knew why
She never told us so
I remember the day at the lake
Laying on the beach towel
exposed to
A hot summer sun
We could splash and play and run
And would someday come back again
but never did
Mother
Never
Tucked us in
Or
Mentioned dreams
Or dreaming of
Better things
In the night

Scrambled emotions masquerade among ourselves
Greed pretends to be concern for others
Sadness wears a well-placed anger mask
Feelings disguised cannot be used against us, right?
We insist upon our little charades, thinking we are fooling you.
Believing our true emotions are hidden,
Because we are not sure who to trust
And we have been betrayed by other mask-wearers
We let very few people into our mindset, maybe one
To peer behind our façade is a rare honor
