I think of the beautiful reunions we have had through the years,
Mom and I would reserve the craft kitchen.
Each of my relatives would bring a delicious dish of food,
Our mother would insist that we make a long table where we could sit.
I supplied the paper table cloth, paper plates, beverage cups and napkins,
Then the table was beautifully set, at Christmas I brought some Santas for the table.
What a good gathering with our relatives,
Father would say a prayer before dinner.
We even dinned in the exclusive formal dinning-room,
What good memories we all have.
Our brother Tom would bring music to accompany our dinner,
A delightful time together where we enjoyed another conversationally.
We dinned all together with excellence,
Each person wore their favorite fashion.
Then thanks to God we all returned home safely,
To live our dreams and goals.
We all talked about our accomplishments and experiences,
A very nice time together and everyone drove for miles to be there.
You think back about all these beautiful experiences,
Good memories which we will always treasure.

Cry red tears
Cry girl; cry mom
Cry G; cry you...
An ocean flow
A river flows...
Water falls and streams
Lakes and valleys,
Blue and we all too...
From the sky to the bottomless pit
Seas so blue...
I can't see anything else!
Cry O cry!
It's sad hey...
Choosing the chosen one,
Purged to none
A setback a for-cry
A lame act, sentenced to death!
A scary life...from mortal combats
To annual events and endless nights,
Fried fishes: many cats and dinned by Virgo's;
Eaten by Leos; spread by cancers!
God bless the Gemini's and love the Scorpios,
A dark hour- a blue period,
The age of the Aquarius: the war of the stars
And the resurrection of the ancient ones,
Dark nights, no light...
Endless days: falling suns and burning stars
No mortals just "carnivores-and-cannibals"
Re-painting green walls with reds,
Blue strokes and broken truths
Mommies singing hymns,
Fathers blowing the trumpets of death,
A sad dream a twisted vision
The curse of seeking: now altering reality,

The place where they lived was a storybook palace,
Friends came and went each day.
They dinned with excellence, a handsome chef guided,
The friendly waitresses hosted the breakfast abd dinners.
There was a lovely cafe with delicious foods,
Where you could meet with friends.
A boutique where you could buy exquisite and fashionable clothes,
Jewellry and presents where you could stay at home for your purchases.
A very fashionable salon with very kind and helpful stylists,
They create miracles where you are transformed into someone beautiful.
Blessed to have friends and relatives come to visit,
We are truly blessed to live and reside here.
This is a place of friendship where the staff and neighbors
Make you feel at home and I am thankful.

He was a knight in shinning armor,
Rescuing her from dragons.
She was a damsel in distress,
Wore a long gown of white lace.
He was invited to her palace,
They sat at the beautiful table and dinned.
They had champagne and delicious foods,
Then they toured the palace gardens.
The gardens were beautiful with blossoming roses,
Flowers of every kind , orchards of delight.
They would walk together his arm linked in her hers,
A friendship beyond compare, the sun rose when he was there.
She would look forward to seeing him everyday,
They embraced and became good friends.
You never know what God has planned for you,
Another exquisite day at the palace guested.

What is despair if not for love, what is this air if not her scent.
What crimes we commit for such an affair, what dangers we live to find someone so rare.
I speak a prayer but to god it is not, I look and stare into a mortal of goddess proportions.
If she hears me now or hears me there, if she takes my words I do not care.
I do ask a question and leave it there, do you think this world to have been cruel and unfair?
To have sat upon the chair and dinned at the table, that glorious feast where we taste love.
But alas to have only dined once and in our dreams and not elsewhere, to have touched only in voice and upon our bodies nowhere.
Is this fair or is this love, is love not fair and in being so the only one true love affair we have.
What is her scent filling my lungs if not the air, and what is love if not despair.

We were young, we were young
Forgiving and forgetting
Through all the worst circumstances
The purity of our hearts
Sparked the union of beings
But we were young
We watched ignited flumes die
A flume a mother and father tried to hold on to
We watched as they dwindled
So we tried to reignite cold hearts
But all we got were frostbites
We were young, we did not know
So we turned a blind eye to it all
We tried to forget
And for awhile we forgot
We played, we laughed, we seesawed
We watched the clouds drift
Through clear skies and gentle breezes
And for a while we saw
A tiny spark and a gentle union
Happiness engulfed adult hearts
And for many nights we dinned
At a table full of the best soul food
And a mother and father
Playing at being soul mates again
We were young, we were happy
If we had known that that wouldn't last
Well, we still would have been happy
Happy in the moment
Because nothing lasts forever

On my way to work I drove upon a Work Van,
It was advertising for Clock Repair
with am image of Big Ben with two broken hands
I thought to myself instead of flying by,
Would I want to repair all my time?
Could I accept the effect of the repaired, all my time?
What would I re-do with it,,
I mean what would I really, really do with it?
Then I looked down at my time on the dash,
I realized I'm now in need of some clock repair....and cash.
Now I'm running late,
No more time to waste,
Thinking such thoughts,
As the re-do of that great date,
Or the time me and my brothers stayed up late!
Or maybe a few more moments with my Mom...
that last Tuesday night that we dinned.

Only I Decide My Fate
By Kathryn Collins and Terry O'Leary
At times when I am dark and deep
joy but flickering dim,
I upon the portal keep
stilled like phantom limb.
Braced by winter's welkin wind,
distant clouds unfold,
where once the roar of laughter dinned
I taste the burning cold.
Stood in life's predicament
immobile on the sill,
I wait for grand encouragement,
to warm this awful chill.
Stranded in the winter bleak,
with breezes bitter blown
slicing like the sleet oblique
I find myself alone
If frozen at the brink I stand,
persist in stagnant stall,
my feet will melt to silken sand.
gone my soul, my all.
Thanks to Kathy for her support and inspiration
