There was a young Lady who followed a Prince,
then became a Princess when she kissed a frog,
I don't know why — perhaps she's Di.

This same young Lady married the dog,
not a hog to marry a dog,
she married the frog to catch a King,
I don't know why — perhaps she'll die.

Princess Diana was born in England and died in France.
When she was in a car wreck, she didn't have a chance.
She divorced Prince Charles of Wales just one year before she died.
Diana was only 36 years old and her death was mourned worldwide.
When somebody dies that young, it's always hard to understand.

A tear in the eye
forever through your soul

I starve for your body,

Diana of the Birches

Birches took a vote after the child left the forest
Next time, two wanted to capture her, to keep her always
Ninety-six others voted this was wrong.
The magical birch had a new idea.

Let me create a phantom child who will traverse the river.
She will be seen only in moonlight, and she will laugh like this one.

Goddess Diana Aka Artemis

She moved like no other two-legged creature.
The wolves kept their howls on reserve, watching.
She was stealthy, determined, made her way quickly.
Reeds and grasses whispered her name in low breaths.

It is the Goddess Diana, a cattail shared with Luna moth.
Luna moth had never seen such a beauty; she was exquisite.
Daughter of Jupiter, oak said to acorn.

Diana of the Woods

Diana asked father to change her into a mighty, formidable centaur.
He was surprised; she would not relent his determined child, his star.
So he sent her to the wizard, who had spells to do most everything.
Wee wizard changed her into a centaur and gave her arrows that zing.

Arrows were magic, but he knew she would need

I see her walking in front of my shop.
Wears a Miniskirt,
Worried face,
Skin and bones. 

Asking for change.
I usually, ignore panhandlers.
