1981, the Royal Wedding
Charles and Di, sweethearts of the world
‘Til the Queen of Hearts’ hopes unfurled

Pomp and circumstance
Parade, white gown, bride so demure
But her prince’s love did not endure

Camilla waited
When Charles wished to meet his mistress
He ignored his sad wife’s distress

Humiliation
     Di withstood her mate’s trespasses
By reaching out to the masses

The “People’s Princess”
     Di was England’s warmest, kindest
Perhaps, indeed, too good to last

Popularity
Was hers, though it proved a burden
     Royal image tarnished, uncertain

Bluebloods had been stained
     By a charismatic flower
Who cared naught for title, power

Strong undercurrents
Prince of Betrayal, Queen of Rage
Would pale beside Di on history’s page

Separation came
Enough she’d had and made it clear
     No longer silent, shedding tears

Scandal in headlines
Queen Mum and Charles were mortified
When the public eye favored Di

Coincidental?
     The night a foreigner proposed
Her life came to a tragic close

Was it media
Who pursued Di to her demise
Or was she hushed by royal lies

Weeping world
     Precious Princess Di
Was far to young to die

Diana, Nature's Guardian

Diana, Nature’s Guardian

Defending purity, virtues, by preordained, destine.
With faithful diligence I oversee all life that’s birthed.
Celebrating nature as its radiant guardian
Fulfilling life’s desire with independent strength girthed.

I am Diana, Goddess of hunting wild animals.
Protector of the natural world both domestic and wild,
Camels, beetles, jackals, deer, hogs, flowers, myrtles, squirrels -
All in my magical care live wonderful lives beguiled.

Fertility and childbirth, my responsibility,
Accomplished spontaneity living, functioning well.
Reflecting light among the beasts with great nobility.
An accomplished war-like goddess guarding while lives impel.

Hunting dogs track down their prey; fearful deer run. I am there.
Staying in the midst of them observing, balancing, and keeping.
Preying is part of life’s design sustained with greatest care.
Plants and animals live mortal lives wisdom possessing.

Plundering men cause great concerns that must be soon resolved.
Wreaking havoc here on earth, plowing jasmine, balm, mugwort,
Destroying creatures, felling trees, habitats requiem.
Man must change his wasteful ways to prevent my last resort.

Mother to the animals I recycle elements.
Wildlife conservation thrives, careful awareness acting.
Take heed ravenous plundering men, lest my anger vents
And another species takes your place, last choice exacting.

You can find me in my sacred place among quiet oaks.
Cherishing my own chastity, purity makes me swoon.
Walking in my natural world hearing each frog that croaks.
Living flawless beneath God’s sun, reflections from the moon.

Diana Goddess of the Moon

(Dianna-Marie was born in 1979)

Twenty years old and married to my best friend
I lived upstairs my parents in a duplex on St. Michel
Each night before we went to bed we prayed together
With young fingers linked, love was never an effort...

It was a cold January day in Montreal that year
We huddled together beneath the covers and laughed
"Wouldn't it be nice if we made a baby" he said to me
Guess the angels were charmed and heard his plea,

Cuz nine months later we received a bundle of joy
To our great surprise it was a baby girl
We didn't get an ultra sound we didn't need to know
Her room we painted yellow - her curtains blue

I was supposed to call her Jade but he said,
"Who wants to call a baby after a stone "
and so we named her Diana "Moon Goddess""

As the years went by she became our jewel
Creative like her mother, strong like her dad
She had a penchant for truth, trust, and beauty
We loved her from the start and years later
we realized that she was conceived
on the wings of our youthful prayers.

We look at her and see "us " everywhere
in her eyes, in her smile, in her heart...
She was our first born daughter
A constant reminder of the love we once shared.

Lady Diana

She swept away the tired day
with purple broom that stained the sky
and the sun swept under the rug
was the sparkle in her eye

She walked on a bridge of cloud
with such glowing presence and luminescence
that it left crumbs of stars in the sky.

In a small village there grew
                           a beauty pure, and true
                           a flower beyond pristine
a shy rose not yet seen

Blessed are those who can hear the screams of flowers picked to soon.

A woman grounded in earthly hue
came to light in Royal blue.
A lady of depth and substance
                            towered above pomp and circumstance.

Blessed are those who can cradle a wilted body without pause, or fear.

With our heads bent in silent contemplation,
we bid farewell to the conscience of a nation.
To “England’s Rose” we say good-bye.
Good-bye to our lovely Princess Di’

Blessed are the wingless angels that walk in the valley among us.

~Author's Notes:

Senryu (also called human haiku) is an unrhymed Japanese verse. They possess no references to the natural world and thus stand out from nature/seasonal haiku.

The Senryu, is a short poetic form which focuses on people: men, women, husbands, wives, children, relatives and other relations. It portrays the characteristics of human beings and psychology of the human mind.

A common misconception about senryu, is that it is exclusively a satirical and or humorous poetic genre. There's another side of senryu, a more serious side that express the misfortunes, the hardships and woe of humanity. Senryu that are serious in tone about romance, sex, family, friendship, marriage, and divorce — Senryu that express other moods and human emotions such as love, hate, anger, jealousy, sorrow, sadness, and fear — Senryu that portray the stark reality of the human condition — the facts, fashions, sports, social issues and life-styles of popular culture — Senryu that express passion and fullness of heart.

It all goes back to the earliest senryu that were composed in late 18th century Japan.

The Great English Beauty For Princess Diana

There is a english girl
That we all know
And she is a lady

She changes the world
Where ever she goes
then one day she was taken from we

people was sad around the world
we don,t believe she is gone
so to find this english girl
thats how my journey began

And I sailed across the seven seas
I climb the highest mountains
I solve all the Egyptian mysteries
But I never found her again

How can we be the same again?
When the fire is all ready burning
I guess this is our destiny
and every day brings a brand new morning

And I sailed across the seven seas
I climb the highest mountains
I solve all the Egyptians mysteries
But i never saw her again

At lease I have the memories’
of this great english beauty
and in years to come I will tell the story
of the great english beauty
and how she was taken from we
the great princess di

Diana At the Ides of August, Part Three

Apparently in time and space, the dark "House of the Empire of [Utter] Chaos" duly falls: Weakened injurious walls tumble into ruination and leave an untroubled, celebratory, sprawling horizon laughing all around. There's no ceiling, no roof: Only stars in the Heavens above. There's no foundation or floor, but for the good Earth and the near Unfathomable Depths, born Good News once again.

Reason, Rapture, Wisdom, Knowledge, and Faith ring.
Diana continues Her ruminations, Her meditations:

Smoldering, poisonous slag heaps become great, thriving, swaying oases. Running, fetid gutters, lining dark, trash-strewn city streets, are made Mighty, Rushing, Living, Life-Giving Water, Infinitely more precious than any gemstone, than mere silver, gold:

No forbidding skyline, no hopeless night, no empty windows lit in the dark, like staring, spying eyes:

The whole world becomes a warm, welcoming hearth fire:

Roots Deeper, Blissful Eternal Life in the
Light in the Presence of Omnipresent, All-Powerful,
All-Compassionate Divinity: At once, really -
All that ever was, is, and must transpire.

The chasm separating Heaven from Earth is bridged.
Natural harmony resonates in the Perfect Gnostic Circle:
Everything that one can see: Images Deeper, Deepest:

Earnest counsel, wiser, a view informed:
Due Curiosity, Inquiry, Experience, Knowledge:
Diana's fair brow knits.
She only seeks to enlighten us.
"One simply must understand," She says, now only a tad more serious.
In reply, one can only feign indifference,
the good light of day only welling.

***

"The rulers thought they did all they did by their own power and will, but the holy spirit was secretly accomplishing all through them by the spirit's will."

--- The gnostic Gospel of Philip

Diana

She was born embracing a silver spoon
yet she eternally hungered for love
Searching her whole life
then she was gone too soon

She became the peoples’ princess
 while still vulnerable and shy
Quickly gaining our admiration and praise
becoming our defining royal jewel, Lady Di

She bore her country a pair of charming princes
maybe the only true love she ever found
While battling her own torment without a sound
fulfilling her duties and championing her causes

Maybe she is still seeking herself in eternity
for a song to play to her tune
Sadly, the rest of our love for her came
after she was gone too soon

Hungry Diana

Daily, Diana coils herself
In a dirty corner on top
The ever patronized Mararaba
Pedestrian bridge
 Cold mingling in her ribs
Like a poisonous snake, she
Hissed and turned thru and fro.
Hunger, offending strongly, her stomach
The Sound of her crack voice,
Her very cherished choice,
Refraining from exuding properly,
Though she yearns for the passersby to come to her aid.
So, her bony fingers,
She straightened in the air,
Calling for food or water,
Pedestrians roaming, every man to his own
Even they can see she’s like dying,

Packed aside like cabbage garbage,
By life’s fateful decision.
Hungry Diana, lonely and bony
Some time, some take note of her
Duty post and dash her a penny or two.
Most at time majority disdain and discard her,
Some stigmatize her,
Some defraud and rob her
Others even rape her.
Oh! Stark and dark world,
Adding the pains to the wounds of her life.
Hungry Diana, give me a clue,
Why shouldering the plights of this Earth?
Were you a delinquent?
You are not alone Oh!
Lonely Diana for my prayers are chiefly with you.

- “Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”
- Mark Twain

Proud Diana

She watches from high above

For that son she does love

A princess on a Heavenly cloud

For her young prince she is proud

He has proposed to his lady sweet

The woman that makes his heart beat

In Heaven his mother will now sing

For he gave his love a special ring

With Heavenly wings, she jumps for joy

You can hear her say, "that's my boy"

On that royal wedding you can pray

She will be there in spirit that day

Diana On the Wind

I feel her, wild and free, through forest glen
a whisper that delights in heady chase
enchanting kiss of apple wood embrace
above defiling hands of earthy men.

Through Jasmine dreams of days long past and gone,
I wield her bow with light and deft finesse,
not heeding mortal time, or shallowness,
devoted to the wax and wane of dawn.

I am her echo, boldly brave and true
away from all the tedious concern-
beyond the bounds where jealous eyes can burn
where fierce autonomy was sown and grew.

An independent Goddess, pure and bright,
I freely roam the smokey wood tonight.
