Quality of life
has deteriorated.
Rust years, not Golden.

Premium MemberAbandon

A house so old and ruined even the ghost moved out
shutter and boarder with the roof caved no doubt
decay and desolate not a vagrant dare
seek shelter over there

Once a proud house indeed
gave many families the home they did need
repaired and remodel throughout the years
life and love within this house was shared

The neighborhood declined
the house grew empty in time
abandon and left to rot
an eyesore time forgot

People just moved way
to better places they worked and stayed
deteriorated inside and out
schedule to be demolished no doubt

Abandon house and abandon souls
if no one cares no one knows
an empty lot where the grass grows tall
lost memories no longer recalled.

Premium MemberYears Swiftly Flew By

The last ten years swiftly flew by;
everyone seems so much older,
I barely recognize faces.

And over time, I've realized;
loyalties and friendships form
on a temporary basis.

Old age, indeed, levies a toll;
my health deteriorated,
and I sometimes feel all alone.

I have trouble falling asleep;
for my back is in constant pain,
and what's causing it is unknown.

I'm bald; there is no hair to comb,
and dentures have replaced my teeth;
my legs ache, and I use a cane.

I've found no upside to aging;
technology screws with my mind,
and it does no good to complain.

Breakdowns

I hear that after she broke-up with me
she herself broke down.
A friend of a friend said he distinctly heard
her main-spring go.

They say she broke
in the London underground.
while waiting for the West Ham tube train.
One of her many prodding elbows
sprang a leak,
a sharp knee ground to a halt,
a sprocket in her head
escaped out of her open mouth.
She just toppled there on that platform
an oily mess.

She deteriorated fast they say.
Her lower jaw tried to swallow words
made of toothless cogs.
Eventually she was written off
and declared beyond repair.

It was all so very sad.
I also was damaged, my mangled remains
were displayed for weeks in a small art gallery
dedicated to avant garde performance art.

Amidst concrete blazen Sun
Chalkboard bleeding blue skies
Fresh squeezed clouds raining down lemonade
Implicit deteriorated desert sagebrush
Dusting tropical dirt glowing off the Earth
Smooth sailing breezy endless dunes
Steel hard cream of the crop
Minutes Frozen stuck on the clock
Amidst this concrete blazing sun
To the quarry looking glass
I see the very end of the Stars
Falling burning in my skin at that point
Right there I thought I just felt that in my heart
In the broad opening day the skies were black
While standing on the surface I realize this is no longer Earth
For I am living in an alien nightmare

Remains

I would stop thinking about the smallest details in my mistakes,
Those words would have more meaning than my thoughts ever had,
The days would encounter the opportunities, almost invisible in this deteriorated current world,
These limbs would linger into the depths of the browns.
There, where the horizons merge, my needs would start diverging,
Echoing through the opaque splash of blues and greys,
Resting on the stiff broken plates of peace,
I would carry nothing but my dreams,
The rest left in repose, as it seems.

Premium MemberMy Old Town's Sad Decline

It was my first time back since covid
to my home town Kilmarnock by name
over recent years there's been changes
few for the better but what's to blame?

The town has deteriorated, so many closures
it's so sad to see this great decline
remembering my teenage years now fat gone
would never have believed then down the time

Covid has had its effect there's no doubt
so many mote shops top let or for sale
no incentive to move back for any reason
becoming a ghost town such a sorry tale

Now the soccer club has been relegated
from the Premiership after twenty-eight years
the fans feel frustrated and let down
but these things happen no matter the tears

Let's hope in the coming decades
it'll all be turned around again
maybe the next generation brings hope
in the present hour all there cry when!

(Just so sad an experience last weekend visiting my old home town which I left all of 31 tears ago, to see its sad decline. I have just written these words hoping it will mean something who have experienced a similar situation or even maybe some former Kilmarnockonians looking at our old town.)

If I had known at the time
I would have run to her bedside,
however she deteriorated fast they say.
Her lower jaw tried to swallow words
made of toothless cogs.
Her ribcage sprung, gaping open
to reveal the dangling prune
of her heart.
Eventually she was written off
and declared beyond repair.

The Color of Love is purple?
The color life is red? Blood

The color of breath is translucent!
Tropical aqua blue! Life Air

The color of my skin doesn't matter? Physical Matter
Because when this physical plane is deteriorated it goes from black or brown white...
~
Alas the color of my life (my Soul) is Christ!

Divine Healing

*DIVINE HEALING*

Take on my bow
This journey I've made to sway.
So easy but made too hard.
Life itself is complex
That non can get its puzzle.

One thing is lack of funds to live,
And another is a deteriorated health.
Who's here to come of aid?
Non, I mean non is of love.
From afar they make their lash
With no aid for a better hope.

Will I live my day as this
Till I leave this soil?
Hope it's not this soon.
For this week stuff has made me lust.
Yet in all I glorify my maker.
For in him there's greater hope
Death or alive my praise will not end.
Cos divine healing is his
And it will manifest in me.

Rainy and Dreary Day Outside

?Rainy and Dreary Day Outside

Was a dull day while being rainy and dreary,
My mother had been weary and eyes teary;
She had become so sad being I had died;
I am no longer here so she cried and cried.

What would it take? to bring her son back;
Together could live again in an old shack;
Over dreaded years become deteriorated,
This would cause her to become infuriated.

Now all that she does is sad stories write;
Wishing some day again may and might,
Have her heart born with be readjusted,
By God who she prayed to and trusted.

One day she died and is no longer here;
What we did was drink a round of beer,
Wishing that with us she was still being;
Had made us all happy with her singing.

Performance Deteriorated

Watching Rose Bowl and Horrible Huskies

Performance Has Deteriorated

While we had waited and waited,
Performance sadly deteriorated,
Takles are missing,
And death kissing,
And opposers gladly celebrated.

Saying Goodbye

Saying goodbye pains me so..
You were my sunshine ..
You spread cheer..
My days were filled with joy..

I rescued you my sweet pug..
My gift to you was a new home..
A new life..
Filled with love..
In return you gave me much more..
Unconditional love..
Unlimited and constant..

We shared a special bond..
You and I..

Saying goodbye pains me so..
Hurts me so..
Your health deteriorated..
You suffered..
In your suffering..
I was there for you..
I gave you love, tender, and care..

On a cold winters day..
Your life was about to end..
I held you in my arms lovingly..
One last time..
Your big brown eyes expressed ..
You unconditional love..

Filled with sadness and despair..
A river of tears running down my face..
My sweet pug departed from this earth..
Peacefully..

Emptiness surrounds me..
My wounds are opened..
In time..
My wounds shall heal..

The special bond we shared..
Is alive and well..
It never dies..

Saying goodbye pains me so..
Instead I shall say..
To you..
We will meet again one day..
My sweet pug Pacino..

May you rest in peace..

This poem is dedicated to my neice Laura..
Who lost her sweet dog Pacino..

I Empty the Night You Rise the Sun

I EMPTY the night, you RISE the sun,
remembering all the things that made us...
                        f a d e away.

hollow is my heart and barren is
my soul,
for I have been bound by all things
that exhaust desolation under the
moon.

your essence has ascended into
the morn glory that reveals the
uprising of creation’s first light-
for you have been bound by all
things that surge into love’s
tenderness.

the constellations used to call my
name yet you arrived without
hesitation.
stardust used to fall upon my
smile because I was looking at
no one else...
                but YOU.

the sun used to rise in your eyes
and I was forever lost in memories of
passion and affection,
I thought we shared a rare connection.

diminishing into the soft
silhouette of the eventide sky,
we said goodbye.
we deteriorated and evaporated
into a languish of nonexistence.

I EMPTY the night…you RISE the sun,
                     you have been redeemed-
                                          I've come undone.

Premium MemberThe Donald

Seemed like a fantastic day till I got out of bed
Deteriorated to the point it resembled moldy bread
Not a good analogy
Better than snotty
That reminds me of The Donald quite honestly instead
