It's as if someone was talking to you
Deep reflective inspiration got the best of you
What you're thinking now doesn't matter
When you travel it is all up to those who
Decide in rash rooms if your life matters.
I see you've started thinking about it
Good it's time you did
Explore this deeper crevice of your mind
And the possibilities you'd rather keep hid
There's no one to save you now, history repeats.
Alas, another soldier will die and grovel at your feet.
You'll have to shoot him, stab him, or kick
Whatever's left of them at least.
So when you tell me war is a game I sigh
Because no one that young deserved to die
And no one in a country should have to lie
Only for the false hope of possibly staying alive.
That's through my eyes, blistering cold
But with the warmth of humility so old
That when someone goes to war they scold
At me when I tell them they shouldn't be there.
Thank you to everyone who is in service of our country. War is not something I'm a fan of but I do understand that we have to live in peace, but be prepared to be warriors when required.

I look up at the stars in the night sky
And wonder how you're doing,
Out there being deployed to
Defend our way of living...
Depending on where you are,
We might be under different constellations,
But we're still on the same blue marble,
Sharing all that really matters...
I look out from our hideout,
Beneath a foreign sky,
The enemy is near and there's
Potential sacrifice required...
But no matter what happens to me or our team,
We'll fight as one for our country's freedom...
And always and forever I'll remain,
The one who loves you beyond life's constraints...
Our love can last forever,
Despite our earthly limits,
Service is a commitment,
For our country and our children...

The coffee quickly gets cold
in the time it takes to part.
Words start then stop
on this last morning,
or is it the first?
Annoyed So Avoid and Deployed
After we were about to be annoyed,
Our mind said that we should avoid;
Go around;
Never found,
Or do get rid of by being deployed.

In the still of the night I see images galore
Of scantily clad ladies doing everyday chores
Bending over, oh what joy!
With ASSets deployed!
My helper went bananas till my composure was restored
As I watch land fade in the distance
I realize what I have left
My love my wife
My son my life
She rises with me in the day light
Slumbers with me at night
As months come and go
She never fades
As days pass
My little boy grows
He walks
Now he talks
Clear as day I see her beauty
Clear as night shes still my cutey
Home stretch nears
I have no fears
As I return I feel there warmth
Within the distance
I'm humbled to see
The two I love so
For the greatest blessings
Are my son and wife
