“The forest is my loyal friend. A Delphic shrine to me.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
The forest is a home,
A place for my mind to roam,
Its doors are always open to me,
To its abode, I’d rather flee.
I find solace in the forest,
My troubled mind comes to rest,
Light pierces through the gloom,
Hope comes to my room.
The forest has its mystery in the serenity it brings,
The soul soars on joyful wings,
Nature guides the stumbling feet,
It's wonderful to come and meet.
The forest welcomes me to its abode,
I find a tranquil road.
I’m out of the hold of the night,
I see a perpetual light.

"The forest is my loyal friend A Delphic shrine to me." Ralph Waldo Emerson
I lie upon the forest floor
In motion with the lull
Of the wind’s instrumental snore
Around and stretch curiously null
Growing use to its poetic rhythms
Of nature’s calmness and peaceful
Trees of yesteryear strum hums
Walls that embrace and healthful
Its mysteries diversity unclears
Diffusing rainbow sunlight over me
Sounds become orchestral tears
Echo a moment and flees, an epiphany

Title 1
"The forest is my loyal friend A Delphic shrine to me." ... by Ralph Waldo Emerson
The written word bears roots abound
Hail favored mist of hallowed ground
Announced breathtaking full-filled air
Spreads out enjoyment summons fair
Forgiving trailed Earth's crowning Star
Forest startup's reserves stretched far
Healthy hoards and wholesome intakes
Fresh novel minds elsewhere, retakes
Obsessed consumed florists stationed
Lives styled out stretched reawakened
Seedlings advanced Heavens promised
Groundbreaking achievements calmest
Cob-web silk thread eight-legged shooters
Tethered roots edged equaled footers
Floods 'neath grounds raise the gigantic
Psalmist summoned lessened frantic
Misplacements sequenced adjustments
Cause coursed through major monuments
Misfortune causeway lengthens aches
Stressed strung-out unmeasured outtakes
Commons traversed rights owned presence
Neighbors challenged core quintessence
Claimed righteousness labors bear fruits
Attributes are well-served ... grassroots.

Quote: “The forest is my loyal friend A Delphic shrine to me.” Emerson
Forest, a Delphic shrine,
In woods where shadows dance in dappled light,
The forest stands in depths of day or night,
Where secrets prevail in sky’s solitude.
Beneath the canopy of ancient trees,
Whose whispered tales caress the breeze's song,
The rustling leaves, a chorus soft and low,
Their wisdom echoes through the sylvan glade.
I roam in the enchanted verdant halls,
Struggling, and hoping,
Searching the hidden truths in your silent realm,
And the zephyr tells me,” Here your soul will find sweet solace”.

A Mended Fence A Sinners Doubt
David J Walker
The sin
is in
The sin is out
The sin is to
pretend
and not to doubt
where truth begins
a ragged rout
the books all blend
the rancor’s shout
with trails of gloom
or gratitude
a tactile room
too often skewed
as hues descend a
reconned drought
a seasons dirth
a Delphic earth
vatic verse
that vendor's tout
the nether world
escapes without
a false pretense
in recompense
as gods invest
the beggar’s bout
a mended fence
a sinners doubt
