Beam

Sunbeam in the rain
The aura that surrounds the pure
Is something we shall never know
So beautiful and untouched by hate
So kind, so loving, yet so touched by pain

Oh! Never have we felt so safe
In your loving motherly embrace
Still every time the war gates were pulled
The commander in you seemed to unfold

A friend we saw among all our foes
In the greatest battle to win the unknown
That’ silver lining beyond the cloud
That might radiance from up above

A picture of grace and a fount of hope
Is something you painted as you walked the corridor?
Elegance so deeply personifies
The voice of the young quarrelers and spies

The pain we feel shall forever resonate
At the loss of your guidance in the rain
And in the end with bated breath
Bid adieu to our mother, our love and our friend

Blowfish

My friend loved sushi because it's tasty.
But he made a decision that was hasty.
I told him not to cut the poison out of that blowfish.
I begged him not to do it but I didn't get my wish.
After he ate the blowfish, he died.
It broke my heart when his kids cried.
I told him that he would be unable to cut all of the poison out.
But he believed that he could do it and in his mind there was no doubt.
When it comes to preparing blowfish, only professionals should do it.
My friend failed to listen to my warning and sadly he blew it.

(This is a fictional poem but many people do die because of this.)

Premium Member I Lost My Friend Today

I lost my friend today
but why I could not say

I spoke to him last night
He seemed to be all right

We talked about his book
I laughed until I shook

We spoke of days gone by
He even made me cry

His laughter was contagious
He lived a life outrageous

I remember what he said
before I went to bed

Kiss the children there for me
I may visit in the Spring, we'll see

I know he'd say don't cry for me
Just live your life spent happily

He always had good things to share
It made me wish that I was there

In his honor may I just say
"No truer friend has passed my way".

A Country Walk

Stranger I am weary my eyes are weak but tell who is that over there in the distance
My friend that figure over there in the far cornfield is Death
If you are ready we can take a gentle walk over to meet him

Yes I am perhaps but on such a beautiful afternoon as this
There is no gloom or sadness
No my dear friend there is none but it can happen on such a day as this

With the suns yellow light flooding down on fields of pure gold

Such a Wonderful Girl Gone So Younge

This week I found out you
had ended youre life
you were the perfect mother, daughter, friend and wife
I am sad i didnt get to know you better
You had a smile that could have changed any weather
Life got to hard and its one thing i get
but you my friend i shall never forget
you will remain forever in my heart
you were always a good friend
who deserved a fresh start
im sad a pure kind soul is no longer here
but now youre out of pain
and have no fear
Neena George a friend so true
this world will not be the same
without you!

A Homage To Homage

In the field of sorrow,
A young girl cries,
Tears of grief,
For a friend who's died.

Memories so vivid,
Strain her heart
The boy has gone,
And they're forever apart.

It seems that sorrow,
Can dent your soul,
It consumes your being,
Swallows you whole.

And as time passes,
The tears will dry,
But still she sheds them,
Just from the inside.

For my friend Homage, gone but never forgotten and forever loved.

Friends Forever

Friends Forever

Little did I know
that so early
you'll leave and go

A friend like you
is so hard to find
yet you left so quickly
leaving me behind

It was not your choice
but God's own will
he took your soul
and made you still

To heaven he called you
indeed a better place
there he'll keep you
with love and grace

From this world you are gone
yet still, in my heart
you will live on,
forever.

Dedicated to my 11 year old friend Shaniece who died on Tuesday in a car accident. You
will always be there in my heart.....*Love Maryam
