Anyone can count the seeds in an apple, but only God can count the number of apples in a seed. - Robert H. Schuller
Luscious crimson, amber, falling
Trembling on branches, perfect yarns
Reciting journeys, their calling
Seeds thrown aside while nature darns
Trembling on branches, perfect yarns
Fables and feelings, rustling winds
Seeds thrown aside while nature darns
Blessings eternal, gentling minds
Fables and feelings, rustling winds
Glossy skins need peeling, tasty
Blessings eternal, gentling minds
Autumn swirls its songs so hasty
Glossy skins need peeling, tasty
Scrumptious liquids dribbling juices
Autumn swirls its songs so hasty
Startling bliss without excuses
Scrumptious liquids dribbling juices
Orchard scented with fruity hints
Startling bliss without excuses
Perfumed by autumn’s trailing prints
Orchard scented with fruity hints
Picking between the red and gold
Perfumed by autumn’s trailing prints
Harvest time, striking to behold
Picking between the red and gold
Reciting journeys, their calling
Harvest time, striking to behold
Luscious crimson, amber, falling

A lorn woman sits at the windowpane,
Working firmly, she knits wool, not in vain.
As she darns, she recalls tales from the past,
Her touch grooves slyly as the yarn is cast.
Vases and green plants decorate the room,
Their vibrant shadows animate and bloom.
Her gaze drifts beyond, amid the lush green,
A strange settle where her heart was serene.
Her hands clasp a cozy baby sweater,
A sign of brightness, a pledge to fetter.
Longs for her son, innocuous and pure,
Frame flesh full by filling it with demure.
However, the years have passed and gone by,
Leaving her with lifelong musings that sway.
Her kids are grown and have their lives to live,
Leaving her down while in a lifelong strive.
By the window, she snoops the world goes by,
Yearning for companionship a smooth sigh.
She weaves her story into every thread,
A witness to her strength and inner dread.

Much In their hands,
Sufficient in their barns,
Blinded to others' sparse lands,
Inconsiderate to their scattered darns.

I took a walk around the block
and watched a man who loved to talk,
while he was spinning yarns
their smiles turned into "darns"...
he was nothing but a big crock!

Village
Village,
Dwellings of brick and stone,
Eclectic styles with greener grass.
Cobblestones and glass windows,
Hidden truths behind closed doors.
Banker,
Shrewd abstract thinker,
Disdains those considered inferior.
Petitions order and obedience,
Capitalizes coins to promote dignity.
Butcher,
Proponent of meat,
Cuts and slices remorseless.
Shamelessly promotes false cuts,
Blade sharp, yet serrated.
Baker,
Reserved and disciplined,
Hot ovens scorch bread.
Concerns himself with rising dough,
A clouded vision of flour.
Seamstress,
Premeditative patterns of gold,
Commoners enjoy 'faux' creations.
Darns calculated and devious,
Spins and weaves while cutting cloth.
Teacher,
Divinity of life lessons,
Educator of consequences.
Continuous support and encouragement,
Leads by example.
Every Village has a home....
Every Home has its village.
