A Distant Melancholy

A chick plucked off its wing
Down the tall oak branches it sung
A song sung nigh free of yearning
Down the hazy amber elm til its life hung 

Near the shore, a kindred spirit melted its last candle
Melted under the dark night sky, its damping light drew him closer
Resuscitating his clockwork, its hand ticked, he threw himself in the shore, without a single ripple
A short-lived sight of a light that chose to fly away, and away, further, and further

I took a stroll down an old park, visited by a dream ever so distant
With ideals buried asunder, I selfishly blew those old autumn roses, greenheads who lost their vigor
I dare not to turn back, a bent world was left with carvings reduced to a remnant
With time and life that will soon disappear, I yearn that lost feeling of fervor

For You

Down in your bed as I watch you, holding your hands
  so cold and wet
I was quivering too, feeling your hands
  you fold and let

You keep your eyes closed as I touch you
  not seeing what my eyes tells you
You grab your chest, but your heart away from you
  not sensing what my heart speaks to you

I was damping your forehead so gentle
  as your tears start to roll down
I was asking why let weeping to settle
  then you opened your eyes and sat down

You asked me why I stayed awake all the while
  I said, "Everything I do is all for you"
You wanted me to stop caring for a while
  I said, "No, I will always stay here for you."

Dear Earth Sorry

Dear earth sorry?
We are very bad humans 
We have destroyed you
We have taken away yours emerald meadows 
We have cut down tall forests
We have taken away your blue oceans by damping our trash
We have taken away your brown soil from your bottom
We have taken away snow capped mountains from the skies
Sorry is not enough 
Sorry is not enough
But dear earth we are sorry!

Prelude

Canopy’s aperture, spilled light’s nuance, tinted,
as my eyes arrested, to attest fall’s saga…
A tree proclivity, had me stalled in Ashland, 
watching the leaves succumb, leaving stark limbs barren…
Those with temerity, plunged at high speed, head first
Others spun dizzily, tornado-bewildered…
Few flew in gradients, of sideways-sloped descent:
wishes on air sustained, just a little longer…
Some seemed to ride gentle, invisible, sleep-chutes,
touching down easily, with wizened acceptance…
My marrow slowly chilled, as damping moisture crept
But cheer was soon bubbling, as merry maples fell:
swaying in zigs and zags, frolics of to and fro,
to come to a smooth rest, on the glassy brook’s face
Alighting sans ripples, their fate in water’s hold:
floating on a mirror, reflecting their past life,
ere being swept by currents, to their next journey’s start…

Lockdown Looms

Dusk sets for the meek
They rush back home
Playing hide and seek 
Damping their urge to roam

Lockdown about to loom
The cops head for road blocks
I shut myself in my room
Solitude for me surely rocks

Pen and Poem

no fountain descending
touching the body of the mountain

it's a city of the windy fogs
the winter hugging the morning sun

the coiling smoke going up
from the hot teacup

the damping roads seizing my pen
all tears on the white paper-
like a coffin in a bier
on the shoulder of the undertaker

wiping pain from the heart
I'm coming back to the sky

Outside my window

Dark clouds swirling 
As the rumbles startles me
The sky turns shades of green
The light of day seams to quickly fade
Rain starts to fall
As if it knows the ground is calling for its damping 
Plants drink in the moisture 
The wind starts to calm
Rain turns to a mist before the sun peaks out
Flower heads seam to stretch toward the new clean sun
All is clean, fresh and new

Callous Catastrophe Clenched

feeble flesh feigned
rusty reels' reign
hoity hankers bled
porous pruning led
furious feast fetched
blind blitzkrieg belched

gaunt gifts gored
punctured pills pored
nocturnal nature bored

taunted trees moaned
callous crest cloned
damping drooling drone

eerie ends etched
callous catastrophe clenched.

sassy smirk scrunched
spanking salient sucks
smog smithereen scorched
sorting saucy sauce
savvy strengths spent
savaging sumptuous sects

dark dribbles drooled
damping dainty doom
dense dug douche

moaning mist melted
meager mends masticated
merging mushy murky

felon fate features
feigning fabulous fractures.
