TODAY’S CULTIVATED WARS
War's rumors are plowed;
War sown seeds germinating:
Fruits of peace rotting:-
A PRECIOUS GEM
Sympathy for others
Is a trait we all shall need.
Showing kindness and compassion,
Will sow much gospel seed.
Those who have not cultivated
This worthwhile loving goal,
Will never find the pleasure
Of fulfilling life's true role.
If we really know our Savior,
And learn to think like Him.
Then this grandest of ambitions
Will seem a precious gem.
For when we follow Jesus,
We find the secret of our living
Is found, in reality,
In a constant life of giving.

My poetry,
a companion,
a flower !
lit by friend
Sun !
Caressed by forest
in color!
bathed in rain
of ideas that enchants her
and to the watering-pot poet...
And she just eager to be cherished
for whoever reads her, the reader.. !
lovingly attentive
immediately acclaimed
complementary
an exact contemporary
yet
vanishing away
in perceived emotions
distinct absences
of
apparent inhibitions
&
estatic beauty
so remarkable a nature
the ability to mesmorialize
the
unforgettable
an ancient beauty
such introspection
. indulged
hidden
in an
affectionate nature
Open up your heart and mind
Life is changing with the time
Don't get lost, don't get behind
You must broaden your horizon
Deepen your thoughts, change a narrow mind
You'll be surprise what you might find
Even though it may not be your kind
But, don't be too open 'till you become blind and undefined
Discovering the psyche of others sensibly
New ideas perceptively leads to intellectual nourishment
A world of diversity with encouragement to propagate
Too bias and prejudice will only complicate
It is what it is so let the world populate
Father and Mother
With golden determination
Focused to open my thoughts
in several ways of revelation --
My manner is... Homegrown
The once green mind still looks back;
at all that has been revealed to its now browned shell…
and with that same determination of gold
I pass down the revelations of old
to my children, as I have been told
The mind should always be
Cultivated to the best of ones abilities....
Its focus should start within the home
That is why I feel blessed
When I tell you my children
Most assuredly -- I am Home Grown.
Author’s Comments:
As a farmer tills the earth and toils to harvest that which he has sown and the wife
prepares the table before him, produced from within the bounty reaped thereof...
Thus, we should take the time to cultivate the minds of our children, to also
acknowledge their surroundings and the people there in.
To stay focused on the blessings at hand, that they not live stagnant lives but to be
productively responsible for the gifts which they each so uniquely possess.
The mind is a terrible thing to waste.
