Cosby Poems

Malcolm-Jamal Warner

He was 54 years old but that was still too young to go.
He starred as Theodore Huxtable on 'The Cosby Show'.
He was asphyxiated and he drowned.
It's sad because he's no longer around.
He was a very talented man and that's certainly true.
He starred on 'The Cosby Show' from 1984 until 1992.
Malcolm had skill and charisma and it definitely showed.
When he starred in 'Listen Up', he starred in all 22 episodes.
People are sad because he's no longer here.
Sadly, he lost his life after living for 54 years.

[Dedicated to Malcolm-Jamal Warner (1970-2025) who died on July 20, 2025]

Premium MemberClassic Reel

in the 1940s many movie comedies dealt with heaven
hell, reincarnation, the devil, angels, body snatching
I get a channel called Classic Reel with my Roku
The movies shown are from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s

I saw three of these shows this week
the one about hell was spooky in black and white
maybe more creepy than if it had been in color
they were plausible, warm, and witty

I got reintroduced to Betty Grable, Betty Hutton
Bob Hope, Bing Cosby, and Jimmie Stewart
They were intriguing shows, amusing
I was not bored, I was intrigued
Plots much more entertaining than today’s movies

Deadbeats
Written: by Miracle Man
August 5 2021

They avoid opportunities in which to shine,
they’ve refused to work, and have chosen to whine,
Steady work would mean they might perspire,
So they depend on others for each heart’s desire.

They feel entitled and are always scowling,
and like a hit dog, they’re always howling.
Believing one day a year, if you sweat you’ll die,
and not knowing which day, they refuse to try.

“There is no labor that a man can do that’s undignified-
if he does it right.”

Silence She Broke When Judge Spoke

her silence she broke
when about Cosby judge spoke
His sentence revoke

while an employer
Trump had been a destroyer
by his own lawyer

when whites would condone
bigotry was caste in stone
should leave slaves alone

Lincoln in Spirit of America
by Jon Meacham

why would they warrant
a form of a variant
which was apparent

we will want to pause
read and understand the cause
learn about the laws

when we saw a stream
appeared in a lovely dream
in mind reign supreme

Lust

Trump wanted to be a sperm whale
But Bill Cosby kept flipping him tail
Although both are deranged
The climate has changed
Now trans genders send them Email

Graham Crackers

Senator Lindsey Graham is crackers
As are all those Bill Cosby backers
Females are not toys
For abuse by boys
Who are clearly sadistic bushwhackers!

The Blame Game

Slippery Dick
Laid a young chick
He discovered sniffing some snow

Candyman Jackson
Wanted more action
And thought pills were the way to go

Flipping the bird
Cosby concurred
And maidens fell in a row

But Trump was so horny
He settled with Stormy
For an hundred grand blow

To avoid such strife
Spend nights with your wife
Although she's a tough row to hoe!

I said, "They're opportunists"
			when just a few accused,
but soon a throng of sixty-plus
			cried out, "We've been abused!"

			His reputation's gone to pot.
			Cliff Huxtable--he's not.

Sweet Bye and Bye

Well, drip the juice
turn off your
Sunday suits
Fried chicken crackling
Rerun, what's happening
Brothers givin dap again
ain't no O'Jay
whistlin
back stabbin-in
Bill Cosby
found a friend again
Fat Albert
workin off pork rinds
and gubment
cheese
sinners gettin
on knees
Faith returned
Heaven turned warm
Just a little sumthin
sumthin
remindin us how
a man's actions
added volume
to his words
Kids were seen
 not heard
and grandma
kept couches
wrapped in Saran
wrap.
I'd give a limb
to see a kid
climb a tree again.
Sweet bye and bye
days gone by.
Grab a palm leaf and
wave it on Sunday
We live in a world
with so many
discrepancies
God has abandoned
Sunday and puts in
work Monday
through Saturday.
Cotton field
work ethic
and a King's
mentality
We need to overcome
One mo gen.
I'd rather see
the human race win
than watch another
Superbowl commercial
Facts of life
that feel like lies.
A Mason jar,
Fireflies and a dad
changing diapers
were such good times

There Isn'T a Title Called, I'M Really Bored

Zibbity Zabbity.
Zoomity Zoo.
I'm Bill Cosby.
How about you?

I took my meds.
Without any food.
And now I'm kooky.
I'm not a dude.

This poem is stupid.
It's not even a poem.
I'm eating a sandwich.
on a bagel.

The end.
